Interesting how the popularity of names come and go.
My first name is ranked #7 over the last 100 years. I graduated from high school with six Susans (out of 175- yeah, small school).
My daughter's name was very popular around the 1880s until 1900.
When I had her (2004), I did not know of any girls with her name and I thought she would be unique without being unusual.
Even the nurse in the hospital said she hadn't heard that name being used.
Since then, the popularity of her name has exploded.
My son's names had similar popularity.
Guess I'm a trend setter.

My name is Jennifer so of course it was ranked #1 from 1982 to 1984 and as of 2012 it is now ranked #163. Definitely wanted to change my name as I was growing up. There were so many Jennifer's in my graduating class. My last job I had, I worked with 3 other Jennifer's. Uggghhh! Be original people!I tried to name my children unique names but my oldest son's name ended up being one of the most popular names. I have 2 sons named Aiden and Toryn and a daughter named Tahllon. Yes that is like the talon's claw. I had to be different and spell it funky. LOL0
