You guys are doing great! I have one more day of level 3 left and I'll be starting over with you. Hopefully I'll be stronger the second go round.0
-
@cdgross81 that's awesome!! Could you post your results?? (Weight, before and after pics, measurements, ect) whatever you have of you don't mind0
-
I started 30 day shred on the 29th also! haven't finished it before. Only got through 5 days last time I did it in 2013 lol1

Maybe try some ankle strengthening exercises? I found they helped a lot while I was recovering from an ankle injury last year. One was called single leg good morning, if I'm not mistaken.
I've had this problem for a while so the jump rope excercise really hurts. I've had to replace that move with butt kicks or try to land on the back of my feet.0 -
I weighed myself but I have to remember to take a photo today. Level 1 day 6 this evening.0

You are all doing great!!! We got this!!
Level 1, Day 5 done!0 -

Hey everyone!!
I'm also doing 30DS, please feel free to add me! I finished level 1 day 8 today1 -
Level 1 day 2 here. I woke up this morning not even sore...but I don't think I'll be so lucky tomorrow morning. Lol0

Hi all I'll be on day 7, level 1 today. The aching has finally stopped although my abs are feeling a bit sore today. I tried this last year and felt great in myself after the full 30 days but as I wasn't eating properly I don't think I really saw the benefits and my achievements! This year however, i have already lost 24lbs by cutting down, and using MFA, but I still have a stone to go - maybe slightly more! I'm hoping that I will see some toning this time! So yeah, I'm in0
-
I'm starting today! Feel free to add me if you are looking for motivation0
-
I know I'm late to the party but can I join? I'm going to start this tonight - I've been eating so much better over the past 3 weeks and have shed 8lbs already but would love to exercise more as I have to be honest - I do hardly anything! I'm trying to lose weight so I feel more confident in my wedding dress next year0

Quick question - how do you all log this exercise on MyFitnessPal?0

I use an HRM, but the calorie burn is not accurate as this isn't steady state cardio. I'm interested as well to find out how others log it.0 -
Also, level 1 day 6 done! I've already started to have way more energy throughout the day thanks to this. Even PMS fatigue is barely noticeable. It's like therapy!0

Level 1 Day 7 yesterday and
Level 1 Day 8 today!!0 -

I use Circuit Training, General, 25 minutes.0 -
Add me! Have you tried the yoga inferno? I love it!0
-
May I ask a question/get opinions?
Does anyone else find the cardio portion just too much impact? I know she says in the level 1 workout that anyone can do jumping jacks, but after 3 days of it, I was I pain.
Back story- I fractured my tibia and fibula pretty significantly a couple of years ago (have a rod in my leg and lots of screws) and while just about everything else I do (tons of walking, ballroom dancing, cycling, horseback riding) doesn't bother me a bit, the amount of jumping around required in this series murdered me. Lots of pain right across the fracture site. Am I being a wimp, or does anyone else struggle with the impact? The strength and abs are doable. But that cardio stuff keeps making me stop.
Can't imagine it's a form issue....I mean, how hard is it to do jumping jacks and "jump rope?"
Part of me wants to just follow along with the strength and abs, and get cardio in elsewhere!0 -

I've not heard of that but I definately like the sound of it! I'm starting 30 day shred tonight - I think I'm going to start off doing it once every two days as I'm really, really unfit then start doing it every day next week (hopefully!)0 -

It's perfectly fine to substitute the cardio in the video with something else. IMO, the point of a circuit training routine is to make sure your heart rate is way up during the cardio intervals; the way you achieve that is up to you. Jog in place if that works for you, or jump on an exercise bike if you have one, or anything else that suits you.0 -
Welcome to all the new joiners!!! It's never too late to start 30 day shred along with us!!
It's nice to see everyone in different levels on the DVD so we can motivate each other even more to finish!!
Level 1, Day 6 done!!!
As for an earlier question, I log it the same way shadowfax44 said: circuit training, general 25 min.
@AmandaDanceMore I sometimes struggle with the impact of the cardio but on my feet. If I do the workouts without rest days my feet ache terrible but that's probably because I don't wear shoes lol. My legs donache when doing the first round of cardio(jumping hacks/jump rope) but after I finish the first round they are fine. Maybe just try to do as low impact as possible or maybe even switch out the cardio moves for something you can do like jogging in place0 -
Ok @Katie_Y89 , here it is.
Start: Weight - 150.7 lb Waist - 36 in
End: Weight - 146.4 lb Waist - 33 in
I started my journey in Oct so my weight loss has slowed, so I am at a total of 20 lbs lost.
I have a calorie goal of 1340 - some days I eat my exercise calories, some days I don't. I took four break days because of a pulled muscle & scheduling. I did each level a total of 10 days at the end though.
**Disclaimer about my pic: I am having some anxiety about posting this. Its a big forum to show the world your gut. I am a little disappointed about my before, but that is why I started this journey in the first place. My after is still a bit of a ways from where I am going, but I am proud of the work so far. So critics be darned, this is what it is.**
You guys are all doing something good for yourselves, so keep it up!!!
