I rode hour on the trainer yesterday and this morning....14 miles out side yesterday and 51 miles this afternoon
65 hours for the month so far...Feeling sore tonight!! Put the bike in the car and drove to Rutland and rode the 105 mile Cicle Tour Route. My Norfolk legs aren't made for hills!!

April wasn't a brilliant month for me in terms of exercise ... I had hoped to do one or two longer bicycle rides but sometimes life intervenes in the plans. April ended up being an incredibly busy month with a heavier-than-usual workload at work + assignments due at university + the final steps of my citizenship process. I wrote the citizenship exam and then my ceremony was on April 29 and I am now officially an Australian Citizen!
May should be a calmer month, although I will be wrapping up the uni course I'm in so there will be work to do for that. Nevertheless, I hope for more kilometres than last May.

Got a good pic of my northern baseball commuter bike as I've finished the last few upgrades. Crank needs to be tightened a bit, but shifting is happier as I've cleaned/re-lubricated the chain.

@ummsqueaky - Good luck with the tri training. Definitely get in a few brick sessions when you can (running off the bike) as your legs will feel a bit funky for the first few miles. Lately I've been using the olympic heart-rate plan built into my garmin (via the garmin connect site) for triathlon training, in addition to a bunch of group rides/runs with my triathlon team.3 -

Got in my usual commuting miles along with an 8 mile 300 watt sufferfest at the gym (plus some warmup/cooldown). Can't seem to get my front triple derailleur on my commuter bike happy, so I think I'll need to bring it over to some professionals later this week.

Then some idiot in a car decided to cut me up and I have no idea how I kept the bike upright (road slicks so no grip in the wet). I'm just glad that I have disk brakes rather than rim brakes
