My son and I got in some nice rides over the weekend. Sunday we were riding to my mom's house when one of my pedals fell off. I lost my balance and fell and instead of catching myself with my foot I tried to catch myself with my hand. Sprained a couple of my fingers and my hand and now I'm wearing a splint for 7-10 days. Funny thing is I'm already talking to my husband about when I can go riding again. I decided I can probably manage one of the stationary bikes at the gym so I might try that out tonight.

wow nice speeds, I'm getting faster but not there yet (this AM was 19kmh uphill (100 meter rise over 16 km), best on the way home has been 21.8 kmh but traffic and stoplights limit it somewhat

Keep in mind the rides include interval training, mtb race pace laps, and a lot of stuff related to building to a peak for mountain bike racing (I'm in week 7 of a 12 week structured training plan for racing which was preceded by a 12 week base training plan for mountain bike racing). Some of that is on the road bike, some is on the dirt bike. 4 hour mountain bike race coming up this weekend as well...1 -
Just more commuting and time on the expresso at the gym. Enjoying training with power at the gym, so I may break down and grab a set of Jet 5s with a powertap (spotted a great deal online) before my September/November ironman races.
