Some people follow it for religious reasons. They believe that we are only meant to eat what the earth gives us. Some will go so far as to only eat fruit that has fallen to the ground. I can't imagine this is a very common lifestyle, I've certainly never met anyone who follows it.0 -

I try to avoid sugar due to a family history of type 2 diabetes. Otherwise I'll eat anything that doesn't eat me first.3
