Is There Anything That Doesn't Taste Good Anymore?

As the title says, is there anything that just doesn't taste good to you anymore that used to? I used to be big on sugary cereals but I just cannot stand the sweetness of most of them anymore. Like Captain Crunch, Fruit Loops, etc.

I also don't enjoy overly salty food either. KFC's fries come to mind.

For me it's more things that used to be 'ok' have now moved to not good enough anymore because the taste is too blah for the calories. Like bagels from bagel chains or cheap ice cream. No desire to eat stuff like that anymore.
(I have never been able to stomach sugar cereal or soda anyways so it doesn't surprise me that this goes away)

I"m with you on the cheap ice cream. I will take a 1/2 cup of really good, locally crafted hand batched over a larger quantity of mass-produced ice cream any day. Onion rings - never as tasty as I remember them being, at least not for the macro-hit.

Also, any boxed baked good - think Little Debbie, Keebler, etc. If i want something, I get it fresh from a bakery. Again, it's not worth getting the mass-produced stuff.

Lean Cuisine/SmartOnes, flavored instant oatmeal packets, jarred pasta sauce, artificially-sweetened 'light' yogurt, etc. I make so much stuff from scratch now that processed stuff just tastes bad to me.

This is exactly what I was going to say. I can't stand super-over-sweetened stuff like that any more.

I'm the same with sugary items. I used to eat handfuls of gummy bears or jelly beans but now one or two is fine. Much too sweet otherwise. I can handle a bite or two of baked goods. More than that is too sweet.

Processed foods such as canned soup, boxes of pasta with dry packet seasonings and similar items have zero flavor to me other than salt. I love salty foods, but the flavors need to balance out.

I think a lot of packaged foods taste bland to me now like canned soups.
I hate most ketchup so I rarely taste it but I had a taste recently and it was even more grossly sweet than I remembered.
I did not do a diet overhaul. I'm not avoiding all packaged foods but do make more things like homemade soups because it is cheaper and tastier.

I'd question that cheeseburger's merits if it tasted like cardboard.

i would, but it is from a place that i normally eat them and they have always been good in the past.

White bread and pasta tastes so bland and sweet to me now.
I used to drink milk all the time as a kid, now it literally makes me sick...

I enjoy everything more since it's all about portion control and I don't mindlessly shovel food in my facehole. Everything is soooooo yummy and exciting!

I guess its because I knocked off sugar a few weeks back, but anything too too sweet isn't desirable anymore. :|

Unfortunately, as a big fan of carrot cake, yes.

Ever since I've had the carrot cake at 2 Wives, every other carrot cake has been only pretty good, at best.

I quit soda a few years ago and recently had a taste of my mom's Coca Cola ... it was nasty! Also, any cake mixes, frosting etc. taste like chemicals. I don't deny myself treats but these days I make them myself with organic ingredients. After making homemade brownies and my favorite, yellow cake with chocolate frosting, I just don't see why people don't take a few extra minutes to do homemade versus a box mix.

Yep, store-bought frosting is totally gross. I gave up most processed foods a long time ago, so I didn't put those in my first post, but I agree, no more soup, etc unless I am sick and don't have the energy to make it from scratch. and frozen meals like Lean Cuisine, etc have been off my radar for over 5 years as well - they are never satisfying, and anything with chicken in particular just tastes off to me.

Regular sodas. I'm too into diet sodas now.
Frozen meals. I used to frozen chicken tenders all the time. I tried some around last year and hated every bite.
I never liked store box cake, the kind with crappy butter cream, but I pretty much refuse to eat that stuff now. It's not even the cake so much as it is frosting.

I had a McDouble when the Pick 2 promotion was released and was really disappointed. Their fries can still be pretty good.

Several weeks ago I was having a binge and grabbed a box of Triscuits. Now, Triscuits were never anyone's idea of 'delicious', but to me that day they were just wrong all over.

Many years ago I quit regularly drinking sugary sodas and sugary tea and sugary coffee. Now I loath the thick filmy presence sugar leaves in my mouth on those rare occasions when I do taste these things.

    Nothing.

I am more sensitive to some flavors (Doritos seem SO salty and regular soda is SO sweet) but I'll still consume them in smaller quantities.

The Little Debbie Oatmeal Cream Pies, though honestly I'm convinced it's because they changed something, and not that my palate has changed, since I still love pretty much everything I had before.

I think you're right - they must've changed something. They're sickeningly sweet and taste like chemicals. Nasty!

Not that I can think of, my palate hasn't really changed. I mostly cooked from scratch, didn't like jarred pasta sauces, and was picky about my baked goods (homemade all the way) and restaurants even before losing weight, though. I just overate the same stuff I like now. One doesn't have to eat lots of packaged sweets or fast food or soda or even fried food to gain weight, after all.

I am much less likely to waste calories on foods I don't like that much (like rice, or random things that appear in the office) than before, though, now that calories are precious.

The only thing i've really noticed is sodium. I ordered mcdonald's fries a few weeks back and literally could not eat them because they were too salty. I had to order them unsalted for them to taste normal.

Otherwise, i still enjoy the same foods.
