@vivizaco read some reviews on this book by Susan Blum MD. I think that was the condition that she had that lead to this research work by her. I read about half of it this past weekend. It is a solid book by a practicing MD with personally experience.

Ankylosing Spondylitis is my autoimmune condition. My pain level now 2-3 down from 7-8 in 2014. Other long term health issues have long since fully resolved by diet only.

    Welcome to MFP forums.

I follow the Paleo Autoimmune Protocol, an elimination diet to help identify foods that trigger an inflammatory response. Tons of info at PaleoMom's blog.

There's a "Fitness and Autoimmunity" group here, too, if you want to meet others with Hashi's.

The Wahl's Protocol looks like it could be promising too. I followed the lower carb aspect of it before switching to keto (primal based) for insulin resistance issues and its anti-inflammatory nature. It helped me some but isn't perfect.

I have a few autoimmune issues including hashi's. My hormoe meds have not changed since starting my diet.

I have been Paleo/AIP for a long time (2 years) in remission now (autoimmune Systemic Lupus) and off all meds. Just started AIP/Keto! Add me!

@bluebeltwo Join the Low Carber Daily MFP group. There are a few of us in there that use LCHF diets to treat autoimmune issues like RA, SLE and others.
