Entering food

How do I search a food I've never had before? It doesn't have a barcode. I'm looking for nutritional info for a sweet potato.

Type in "sweet potato usda raw" (assuming you're weighing it before cooking), double check that the nutrition information given is accurate, then log how much you're eating of it.1

My main back-up for new items, or confirming existing entries is the USDA site.

I go to calorie king.com and then enter the info in myself into "my foods"0

How do you enter your own nutritional values? I can only find the recipe page where you have to enter the food and then select their information.0

Pardon the rough snip and sketch, but from the main page go to:
1) The Foods tab
2) The My Food tab
3) The Create Food button.
