If I just slept better.2

Lift heavy things and eat less cake.6

If I just stopped lying to myself and had some self control...7

Weighed my food.
My food scale kicked the bucket a few months back and I haven't bothered replacing it yet. I'm probably not very accurately eyeballing an ounce of cheese, or a tablespoon of peanut butter.
I'm pretty happy with my current rate of loss though so I'm not really worried about it yet.2 -
Log all the nibbles and kibbles and be honest
Same here!
I don't log the handful of chips that i pinch out of my husbands bowl in the evening or the bite or two of his cheese and tomato toastie he made last night, or the extra shake of cheerios i add when I've got too much milk left in the bowl. These things don't happen everyday, but no doubt they slow down my weight loss slightly, but i just couldn't be bothered being that precise.1 -
Log more! And stop binge eating. Also if I had more self-confidence, like cmon girl, we can do this. Stop being so down.2
-
Go to bed earlier.2
-
Showing more willpower when I visit my parents and they serve me more food than I need! I'm pretty good at portion control at home, but when I see loved ones... om nom nom2

Leave the cake in the works kitchen for someone else to eat instead of me eating it, exercise more.0

Weigh my food more consistently/consume less food3

Log everything3

Stopped caring about what others thought.
Stops me for going out for runs because I live in a very residential area. Stops me from doing certain things in the gym because I worry I'll look stupid. And it means I wear makeup everywhere, even to the gym. I just can't let people see me without it.2 -

There's nothing wrong with wearing make up everywhere if you want to. I wear make up to the gym. The only thing that matters is IT'S ABOUT ME. I'm wearing it because it makes me feel good and does exactly zero harm to others. And that's a rare thing, so you go on and wear your make up and don't worry about it. It's no one else's business what you do with your face. If it makes you happy, go nuts.
If you really DON'T want to wear make up everywhere (see, I actually enjoy it and want to, that's the point here) then don't. Have you SEEN other people at the gym? Everyone is sweaty and gross, which is totally fine. That's how human beings are supposed to look when they are working out. And chances are, everyone else is so concerned with looking good themselves, no one is paying enough attention anyway. And even if they were, what is the consequence of not wearing make up here? Does it put you at risk in some way? Do these people's baseless opinions matter to you? If they do, ask yourself why. These are just some people, and dollars to donuts, if you fell and hurt yourself walking into the gym, 90% of them would stop to check if you were okay make-up or not. We tend to over-estimate how much people are judging us from afar because TV makes it look like everyone everywhere is in a CONSTANT diabolical scheme to put everyone else down and write down their flaws in a little devil book. REAL people don't have time for that. We have bills, we're busy.
Worry about you, your comfort, your happiness, your health. And then act accordingly.10 -
Stopped half assing work outs. Its doing me no favors to count it the same as when I go full throttle. And Im still eating back the 100 calorie difference these days that I know I didnt earn.2

It's not only normal to care about what other people think, it's also perfectly reasonable. What others think about you affects how they treat you. I would suggest two things. First, follow your thoughts. Not wanting people to think you look stupid is ok! Ask yourself why they might think so, and whether there's anything you could do to reduce that. If you want to try a new machine and don't know how to use it, see if you can't get some help. If there's a Zumba class and you've never been particularly coordinated, ask the instructor if you could take an individual lesson for some newbie pointers. Could you go at a different time of day when the gym is less busy?
If you want to feel comfortable without wearing makeup, take baby steps and try wearing less, or wearing makeup that gives a 'gentler' effect. Use a lighter lipstick, then move to lip gloss or balm. Use a tinted moisturizer instead of foundation. Use grey or brown eyeliner instead of black. Try going without makeup around the house, and look in the mirror often so that you get used to what you look like without it. Smile at yourself! I promise, you look awesome both with and without makeup, just in different ways.2 -

If I cared more about my goal then I'd probably be at my goal by now. I'm still overweight but I've reached the point where I am happy with my progress. I feel good. I'm not unhappy with my appearance. I've been logging every day for almost 2 years. I feel like getting to my goal would be nice and good for me in the long run but I don't particularly care about killing it or getting crazy results right now.
I would probably also do better if I exercised more consistently.

Avoid chocolate! But I don't want to give it up, so I just work it into my calories. But my goal calories could be lower if I avoided it. Oh well, you've gotta live!
Also...wine/beer with my hubby after the kids go to bed!1 -

I know this sounds like humble bragging, but I've done a number on myself and my cortisol with pushing myself to get to a lower weight that at this point is just vanity weight. It's time for me to focus instead on being less goal focused and more holistically focused on overall wellness.
This is me also. I push myself so hard with exercise for long periods of time because I feel so darn good right after I finish a session, but in the long term, not taking rest days make me feel *kitten* and worn out.
So I'm always looking for balance and have recently shortened my lifting and HIIT workouts and see how I do with that.
