Also I posted on my time line so my friends saw already, but I think I commented on here a couple weeks ago about how I've been unemployed for 4 months.
I start my new job next week! This is such a huge weight off of me! I know there were some on here who had posted some supportive things to me and I wanted to update y'all.

I was feeling pretty depressed after a bike accident about ten years ago, so I started volunteering with the animal shelter. I'd go down with a digital camera and a laptop, take pictures of everyone, run some stuff over them to make them look good at web size, then burn a disc with web-ready photos of every critter at the shelter.
A cat reached out of her cage and grabbed my shirt. So I got somebody to open the cage and tried to pick the cat up, but she bit me. The lady working there told me "I wouldn't adopt that one." Which is exactly what I did. Turns out she'd been there a month and a half and was a few days away from being put to sleep.
She's been my best friend for ten years. She saved me from the depression I was going through.
