    I love horror movies.

The Descent freaked me out pretty good!

Have to agree with the Conjuring; however, The Strangers is a pretty disturbing movie. "Why are you doing this to us"...... "because you answered the door". Creepy as hell.

    Alien and Jaws

I want to watch this movie, "Alien and Jaws"

I want to see Big Foot Vs Yeti vs Chewbacca Vs Predator vs Aliens vs Jaws

Predator wins this in a rout.

    Alien comes in second.

    Chewbacca has no chance, none.

..... I've thought about this all morning; it's that important.

I suppose it is up for debate but I happen to agree with you....this time.

    this time?

    awesome.

    I'll take what I can get; it's a foothold.

Well...I think Chewbacca has somewhat of a chance given the right weapons.

imho, without Hans Solo, he's Fools' Gold.

I'm building a Excel spreadsheet on this very subject

I'd like to give "It" an honorable mention because even though it was a "made for TV miniseries", and it's very 'dated' now, it's still creepy AF. Pennywise. Enough said.

I can't agree to that. Given the right weapons he could do some serious damage.

    Against Predator? Unpossible.

Alien? You know that Alien has acid for blood, right?

Chewy is too big, too slow and an easy target with or without weapons.

** on a side note, I took our kids to a zipline park on the old film set of Predator (it's in Mexico).
Much of the movie props were left behind there in the jungle. It was awesome; I could live there.

Chewy is very fast and agile actually. He is also very strong and since Arnold Schwarzenegger can punch out a predator and Chewy is much stronger than Arnold, he would be stronger too.
With weapons, it might be an even fight, but Chewy is a known survivor. And lets face it, if Danny Glover (who is too old for this shi┬) can beat the Predator than so can Chewy.

With no weapons I think Alien would win against everyone, at the same time.

Predator took out both Carl Weathers and Jessie Ventura... okay, forget about Jessie Ventura (that's a bad example) ... but Carl Weathers?

Carl Weathers is a badass and Predator had his way with him.

Maybe Danny Glover just got lucky? ... sorta like Buster Douglas knocking out Mike Tyson; it was a fluke.

The first movie that scared me was the original Poltergeist. I had a clown doll just like the one in the movie, and after I watched it, I gave the doll to my younger sisters... :o

Oh, The Shining freaked me out as a kid too. Not because of Jack Nicholson's character, but the Grady twins. To this day, I dislike children that speak in unison.

I just recently saw The Witch and found that very unnerving/creepy.

    Only Ripley survived the Aliens.

I fixed it for you. :)

Good point. What happened to Newt?

She died in the beginning of 3.

He has retired from politics and has written a couple of books.

The original Exorcist did nothing for me. I watched it by myself in the dark and... applesauce.

It had no impact on me at all. none.

I suppose I can see how others found it frightening. *shrug

I feel the same way about The Exorcist, Motorsheen. Ho hum. Also Halloween. That movie is boring as *kitten*.

Right? All of those teenage scream fest movies just don't do it for me.

If others like them, great; no worries. Have fun with them.

The genre that strikes a nerve for me is: Japanese Horror.

There are films out there like the original 'Ring' and 'Audition' that are very good and a bit more cerebral than your bog standard slasher flick.
