    Last month, I hit a record of 451,511 steps. 7,018 more than August.
    Goal this month is 455,000 steps.

    This is a great challenge! I am going to walk an hour a day. Before the end of October, I will have at least one day with 20,000 steps! Maybe go hiking for a day if the good weather finally settles in.

    I am way late to this party, but I'm pretty new to MFP - so my goal for the last 21 days of October -

    - walk every day at least 30 minutes
    - 100,000 steps

    I've been having some issues with my knees - going to the rheumatologist and probably getting a cortisone shot in one or both knees which will help. So I'm just ramping up walking again.

    Walking seems like the easiest way to start getting exercise, and even if you cannot track distance (or do not want to), tracking time is good too...go for a 10 min walk after dinner, or up it to 30 minutes, you will be amazed at the end of the month how much more exercise you are getting in. :)

    Come back here and just post how far you walked, even if it was to the mailbox on a given day. The important thing is that you are moving and getting out (or if you walked in place in your basement to a video). Sometimes we need a little encouragement in order to do things in life.

    Check in everyday with how far you walked or how long. This is just to motivate us to get in at least some exercise every day, and keep an eye on each other. Remember, you can track by steps, distance (miles or kilometers), time, etc.

    RULES:
    *no bullying
    *no pressure
    *just walking, dancing, stepping, hiking, trick or treating, anything to get you moving.
    *just lace up the shoes and take a walk!
    *anyone can join in at any time.

    Started my weight loss journey on October 1, 2016 with 55 pounds to lose. Chronic pain issues in feet and back. Goal is to walk at least 10 minutes per day, 3x per day.

    I'm taking an imaginary Walk Across Texas: 857 miles down I-10, from the Louisiana border to El Paso. Since June 1st, I have walked 317.64 miles. I just reached San Antonio, TX (mile 308)! Next stop: Boerne, TX (mile 335).
