    I just realized that the audiobook version of Ready Player One is narrated by Ensign Crusher and that makes even cooler.

    Assuming you watched Star Trek?

    Of course. I don’t trust people who haven’t. I don’t trust people in bow ties either. Except maybe Bill Nye.

    Awe man. I wear bow ties and never watched og star trekk

    The fact that I've never wanted kids, does that mean my dna is damaged?

    Noooo! Not at all! My whole life I dreamed about being a stay at home dad and everyone gave me a hard time for it because they thought it was dumb. Now instead of busting my bum and getting to spend time with my kids i work every *kitten* day and never see them. The world is *kitten*. Sorry hon i went off track

    Okay sorry that i responded a lot but here is what's on my mind:

    So this girl at work has been saying she was gonna quit for MONTHS. Bad attitude, kinda mean, rough to work with, complains about doing her job all that jazz. I would ask her if she put her notice in and she never did until AFTER I did.

    Today I hear she retracted her notice because she believes I was the issue. Wtf?? Ask anyone I work with, 87% of the time i am a pleasure to work with.
    Whatever.

    I've never wanted children either. It sucks because people never believe you.

    my two best girl friends never wanted kids either. i think it’s way better to know who u are and what u want than to follow some script laid out by society <3

    i always wanted kids and think they are pretty much the greatest ever, but don’t like babies at all (not a huge fan of toddlers either)

    tbh for the first few years i was pretty much was just impatiently waiting for my kids to grow up enough to enjoy them

    I felt horrible because the first 6 weeks I was like who the heck would want one of these? It started getting more fun once he could smile and started interacting.

    Yeah, I dont get why it is so hard to imagine why a woman wouldnt want kids.

    I actually didn't want kids at all. Everyone says when you get closer to your 30s that changes but it didn't for me. I agreed to have a kid bc hubs really wanted one, but I still feel like in a different relationship I wouldnt have ever done it.

    I knew I was impatient and didnt want the constant responsability. Everyone says"oh, things will change when its your kid and you have them" but so far my experience is that I was right about myself. I really struggle with just needing to escape the responsbility almost every day.

    I dont want it to sound like I dont love my kid, or he is neglected or anything. My husband is very supportive, understanding, and a really great father, so as a team we do a good job together. But, I dont know that I would be managing with anyone else. I really dont know how women with less involved husbands handle it.

    Just dont believe all the people who say "oh just go for it and it will sort itself out" Its a big decision with alot of consequences. You know yourself best, dont forget that.

    I agree with so much you said. I've heard it all;
    You'll regret it when you're older.
    Who will take care if you when you're old?
    Everyone is scared about having kids, that's normal!
    Don't you think you and your husband with get bored of each other?
    Kids are soooo rewarding!
    Pregnancy is no big deal.
    Labor isn't as bad as other women say.

    Me;
    I don't regret it.
    Having kids as built in babysitters into my old age seems, dumb?!
    Yeah, I'm one of those everyone's who's scared of having kids!
    No, I do not think DH and I will get bored of each other. LOL
    Maybe kids are rewarding to you, I generally find them life sucking.
    Pregnancy is no big deal? Liar! I heard alllll about your morning sickness, swollen feet, weight gain, stretched out thingers, other things on thingers. Um no ... :neutral:
    Labor must be that bad, umm drugs?

    Long story short, I know my limitations. I do not want kids, ever.

    My daughter's upcoming eye surgery. I feel like I haven't slept in days.

    My oldest had 2 surgeries to correct strabismus when she was around 3. Scariest feeling ever. I felt the same way. I'm sure you have wonderful/skillfull surgeons and everything will be fine :)
