In what way would it help with digestion that is in any way related to weight loss? Food has a set number of calories. If your digestion doesn't work well you don't get all the calories from the food and might lose weight and remain hungry. Say if you don't digest fats well some of them end up in the toilet without you making use of the calories in that food. On the other hand, good digestion extracts the calories from the food. Your body then uses them for your energy needs or, if you're in a calorie surplus stores them as body fat.2
