5'1", lowest I was was maybe around 95, after 2 kids, current wt 128. Lost some wt on MFP a couple yrs ago, stopped logging, gained most back. Oh well, starting over. Extra challenging for us as the calorie requirement is so tiny, its so easy to overeat. Trying to be more mindful, and back logging0

Turning the big 3-0 this year and saying goodbye to my twenties. I have fluctuated between 159 and 140 over the last few years. (Summer weight, winter weight lol) I always get to my "OMG" Point and start eating less and working out to lose... Life gets in the way, schedules get busy, too tired, blah blah and I drop off again. I'm really motivated to get more active and stay that way, even in the winter months. Looking for friends in the same boat. Maybe It'll help me stay motivated to stay the course, and continue working out and eating better.

Thanks to all the awesome ladies that keep motivating, and especially @juliemargaretkim, your logging keep me motivated, your start weight and goal weight (120) is close to mine, and it's encouraging to see what a year of consistency can do.. Here are my stats for hopes that it might motivate others:
SW - 03/30/17 - 157lb
PW - 04/12/17 - 155lb
LW - 04/19/17 - 155lb
CW - 04/26/17 - 153lb
Height 5'2"
My CICO is for half pound per week. I felt that is realistic for me to maintain.
What is PW & LW??0 -

I'm 5 feet and weigh 154.4
I'm new to MFP and would love to add you guys, but I don't know how? Last week I lost 5.2 (first week) but this week I GAINED 1.6, after counting calories diligently AND working out. Feeling bummed. Wondering if I should be cutting back on my cards a little? Feeling confused.0 -
californiagirl2012 wrote: »5' nothing and lost 85 pounds, I'm maxed out on friends but I want to encourage you that you can do it too! It is a bit slower for us short ladies as 1 pound is a greater percentage of body, so be patient and don't compare the rate of change with others. Also, be consistent and as accurate as possible with your calorie estimates as our margin of error is more narrow the smaller/shorter we are. Consistency is even more a must compared to bigger people.
You got this!
Did you find you had to cut back on your carb intake to get to goal? If so, how many carbs were you consuming?0 -
I'm still chugging away at it, with some modifications.
- I've up my daily calories to 1390, because I was hungry at 1300, and often feeling deprived. Higher protein, lower carb.
- I'm focusing on recovering from my piriformus muscle injury (it triggers my sciatic nerve) with a lot of stretching/foam rolling
- I'm on my way to my ultimate goal of doing 8 pullups. I PR today: I did 5, and 2 more this morning. Woohoo!
- I'm still killing it with the weight training
I don't really see the physical progress, but I just have to keep at it.
I'm Amanda.

Hi All! I don't know if anyone checks in here anymore -- I used to check in weekly. It's great to see this thread still going! A short update -- I don't post much anymore-- life has taken over -- but I've managed to maintain and I still have to say that there isn't a DAY that I don't wake up 1. Thankful for having lost the weight this time (60 years YOUNG now -- as I've previously wrote, it took me DECADES to get that 30 lbs. GONE!) and 2. Absolutely amazed that I have done it. I was at power yoga class today (I follow the Baptiste Power Yoga now -- I go 3 - 4 times per week and it has changed my body and my life!) and a woman and I started chatting -- she said she's the oldest one there -- I said "I doubt that" -- she looked at me and she said I was wrong -- so I told her I was 60 and she was truly in disbelief. She is 57 -- and she says she hope she looks like me when she is 60! That is my good story for today! Believe in yourselves and believe in MFP --it really does work and it really does matter. Be good to yourselves -- eat those greens! Don't wait decades to make your body the best it can be. Love!!4

Hey Y'all!! I'm 5'1 (27) from Tx, I started my journey in May 2017, so I'm 2 month away from my 1 year mark. I do suffer from quite a bit of Pain, so I can't exercise as often as I would like. So I mainly just calorie count and get my steps in. Calories are between 1300-1400

This thread has resurfaced, and I remember posting on it last year when I was about halfway to my goal and wanted to lose another 20-25 lbs. It took a while, but I finally got there! Last week I reached my goal weight of 120 and it’s all thanks to MFP and this community. I’m still committed to the lifestyle even though I’m done actively trying to lose weight, so feel free to add me for advice, encouragement, or if you just wanna be friends5
