Earned some extra calories early this morning from a 60 minute walk, before a big family lunch later today.

Hi, Ugh be 50 in 2019. I'm normally very active hitting gym 5-6 days a week & 3 of those days I spend 3 hrs all up there. Also enjoy mountain biking & road cycling as well as cycling. Did I mention I'm usually active? lol
6 weeks ago I was out with gym girls when my foot went under me. 2 X-ray's showed fracture, CT scan showed arthritis, fracture & some bone missing from my ankle. So I've been stuck in a moon boot & on crutches since waiting to see a surgeon. Whether or not I have surgery no idea.
I haven't driven since, can't walk, not gym or cycle.been pretty isolated since.
Not driving has been main prob as I can't get anywhere unless I use a taxi (they love me now).
Now I'm trying to rid of excess weight I gained onto of what I wanted to originally lose. Hence being in here as well as maybe, just maybe extra support as I'm not really getting any back here.
So feel free to add me :)

    Merry Christmas 🎄

I’m Casey. My MFP friends weren’t very motivating, so I decided to find a group like this to help keep me motivated. I do ok with exercise, I’m part of the online group Daily Burn. It’s my eating that needs work. I tried Noom, but shortly figured out that MFP was a better platform for me.

    Good morning!

Did our waists survive Christmas? Mine didn't although I minimized the damage. Back to tracking and exercising.

Enormous lunch yesterday, but I weigh less today!! I guesstimated all the items that went on my plate and came up with 2527 calories. Didn't eat anything else at all after lunch. Only water over the next few hours and went to bed early.

    Well done!

Yay for boxing day. Or as I'm Calling it this year Second Christmas Eve. Tomorrow I'm hosting Christmas since my brother comes to town today. It has grown from just being 6 people to 14. I'm calling it second Christmas and making that a thing cause why not

It's actually called 'second Christmas day' (Tweede Kerstdag) in Holland.

how awes thanks for sharing. i swear keeping alive is the fountain of youth. i've been trying to tell my mom this. she agrees then refuses to do anything and at 74 people mistake her for being in her 80s

My dad is the same way. Yes he's had some injuries but I've told him for years to keep active as best he can. TV is just too enticing compared to being active I guess.

It's too bad because they end up missing out. my dad had been very active and ended up living longer than he should have with his cancer. i'm going to choose to stay as fit as i can i think

Reading about age above, my mother is nearly 70, has a very active life, is always out adventuring with the dogs and can be seen quite often dancing with the boys in the local gay bar. She makes me giggle

My father is 76 and still goes to work half day every day. Some people think he looks almost as young as I do.
