Middle age has not been kind to me weight wise.0

Hey folks. I’ve been with MFP for a few years now, but just on my own. I lost the majority of my goal weight but the last few kilograms are proving much more difficult. I hope to gain some encouraging friends, and I’ll do the same in return. Cheers.2

Good morning!! Just making my comeback....again. 43 but this year I decided to celebrate like I was 34.8

Had a great workout this morning. Getting back into the swing of things. Also I haven't had a Monster energy drink in 5 days. Send help!2

Had a good breakfast, checked all the boxes without tipping the caloric scale. An okay lunch with just a protein bar, yogurt and mango juice. Now I just have to ace supper, ugh!3

It's a beautiful day here. I'm ditching my winter coat for a vest and sweatshirt.
I skated, in excited to work on a program for the "vintage" Olympics. I tried out a few moves today and I'm liking my ideas. It's all coming together nicely4 -

Good morning coffee lovers from an overcast Worcestershire. Quick brew before the day starts. Love this time of day on site no machines running or people bugging me just my coffee and the birds singing. Happy Wednesday7

Got a nice run in yesterday....and it wasn't too bad.5 -
Hi all, turned 50 last April (which means yes 51 next month). I thought I'd get back going a month ago, and I have hit it hard. Eating fantastic, and walking a minimum of 10,000 steps a day (my dogs love me of late). Down 12 pounds in 28 days and have not checked in the last week or so.
Need to hold myself accountable and not stop (as I have been prone to do). Add me if you'd like as I may need a kick, and if needed, I can offer you one from time to time3 -
Hello and feel free to add me0

Happy Thursday.
So I'm registered for the Vintage Olympics. And the best part.....my friend in Australia messaged to tell me she will be there too. I'm so excited. I will be smiling all day4 -
Hi. I'm new. I've lost 10 stone in the past been yo yoing. Up and down a stone a while. Some bad habits. Hoping to get the right level of support. If I tell anyone close what I'm doing. I'm not met with support. But judgemental comments about how I need to gain. I have a healthy bmi. Top end. At the moment. I enjoy quite bland foods. Mainly chicken veg rice and salads. Lol. Looking for inspiration. Happy to meet friends I'm nearly 34. Mum to 5.2

It's what my friends are calling it
It's the winter world master games an event sanctioned by the international Olympic committee. There's an opening and closing ceremonies and we take the Olympic oath. The only qualification is you register quickly and pay the fee. Haha3 -

Hi, 56, and this is my 2nd time on MFP. I lost 40lbs (SW 152, lowest weight 112lbs) over 2012-2013. The last 10lbs came off very slowly. Eventually I realized that my final weight was too low for me (5’6”) as people kept commenting that I was too thin/ was I sick?? (thanks everyone! Sheesh!!). I also realized I was getting too obsessed with logging etc. and just tried to take a total break and eat mindfully. Gained about “10” and was happy around 125lbs eventually but life, work, retirement happened and I now found myself back ten pounds heavier again (137). I’m back to 128 and my goal is in my sight again. I weight train for 45 min 2x a week and try to get to yoga 2-3x a week. I’m shooting for 1200 cal a day which is not long term sustainable, but I’m weighing my food, eating only nutrient dense foods, fewer carbs and the occasional treat. It’s coming off quickly.
A couple things I learned: I was drinking a lot of calories! 2 glasses of wine each night was like eating a candy bar every day. Love my wine but I’m drinking much less now (altho I miss my vino!). When I’m hungry, I chug a water or a decaf tea and ask myself to wait 30 min or so to see if it resolves my urge to snack. Sadly, I also learned that at maintenance, I also needed much less calories then when I was heavier.. no one points out that you need to regularly adjust your intake downward as you get smaller, which is your “new reality”.. maintenance can’t be back to the old way of eating!5
