I really want this... I look at the numbers and think 'easy' but I know it will be hard work and take a lot of commitment. I'm ready... well almost- I've got two days of holiday left.

I'd like to join too! I just started MFP last week and I'd like to use my one week stats retroactively! I'm losing less than 26 lbs but I suspect it's going to take me 26 weeks to get where I want to be--I've been trying to lose this extra weight for so long!

I'm new to MFP. I'm a recreational athlete (runner, triathlete) who struggles with portion control. I eat a lot for my short height. I've been trying to lose this extra 12 lbs for the past 18 months with no luck so I'm hoping being accountable will help.
I'm expecting the first 3-5 lbs to come off at about 1lb a week, then I suspect it's going to slow down but if I can keep the progress going even at fractions of a lb per week till I hit my goal weight, I'll be happy.

Hello All! I always love the first weigh-in in January as I know I will put up a big number. I hit the gym hard this week and logged all my food. I know this is mostly water weight, but it is a nice way to start off the new year!
