Anyone here suffer from a leaky gut? I was wondering if exercise could make it worse? I am a runner and can't seem to shake the bloat, despite eating perfectly within my calorie range. I do have a severe leaky gut which needs to heal.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Thank you. I didn't want to be that person. I legitimately have a "leaky gut" but I have Crohn's and fistulas so yup my guts actually leak.8 -

Yes! I do and just created a post about it. Doctors don't believe in leaky gut (at least everyone I've been to doesn't). I have psoriasis. I understand it takes at least a year to heal your gut. I've eliminated a lot of stuff from my diet and added probiotics. check out my post and let me know how everyone is doing healing their gut.

I've asked my internist, my dermatologist, my oncologist, my surgeon, my gynecologist, my dentist, a functional medicine practioner and my psychiatrist....none of them believe in leaky gut. Sick of the steroids and other meds. Looking to heal with a (mostly) plant based diet. :-)18 -

If you have gut issues you should see a gastroenterologist (who will also say leaky gut isn't a thing).12

You go to an alternative health practitioner (nutritionist, naturopath, homeopath, etc), either because you have a hard to diagnose illness or you have trouble losing weight, and they tell you that you have leaky gut syndrome so they can sell you counseling, gadgets, supplements, essential oils, e-books, and/or meal plans.21 -

You ignore the advice of eight medical professionals who tell you it ain't even a thing.13 -

When somebody in the health/fitness field tells you so you buy their services/products.
Fairly common to make up a condition that doesn't exist so they can market sell a product such as muscle adhesions-foam roller, leaky gut-diet plan, or in the old days snake oil-you name it The only thing that can come positive from it is a placebo effect. Usually is a nocebo effect though which can be harmful.5 -
