So.... how much did you consume on Christmas day
Replies

My personal goal was 5000 kcals, while managing to keep my sodium to potassium ratio at 1:4.
I managed 5600, and 1:3, so close enough.1 -
Stuck to the diet! I believe. It's so easy to fast if you stay distracted. Remember, food is only material. We only eat to survive because it was ingrained in our DNA to reproduce. And with that said, I only had about 1,400 calories on Christmas.2
-
No logging for me. Back on track for today. It's once a year. Call it combined cheat days. LOL0
-
2144 calories give or take. My logging was pretty sloppy. Less than I expected, to be honest. Gained 2.5 kilos (but I'm retaining water so I would have gained anyway). This holiday is not as high as previous holidays for some reason, and I may not gain as much weight as I was planning to gain.0
-
I would estimate my intake to be 3,500-4000 calories. Burnt 450 calories from a one hour home workout early in the morning and we also went out for a one hour walk in the afternoon for fresh air. It was all worth it but definitely too high in sodium, my mouth feels so salty today.0
-
My food baby weighed in at 3.2#. I closed out my diary for once. MFP said I'd gain 29# in 5 weeks if I ate like yesterday.7
-
Don't know ... don't care!
And actually, today (Boxing Day) was a higher calorie day than Christmas because we wanted to finish off a few things before hauling everything home.2 -
I WAS under my calorie goal
But then I had baileys, prosecco, champagne, cider, sherry .....5 -
Didn't worry about anything all weekend. Enjoyed myself and had a great time with my family. Today is Monday - made it back to the gym this morning. Back to the normal grind. I did indeed gain some weight, but have no fears or doubts that it will be gone soon enough!0
-
My problem today is getting my body back into the "I don't eat 5k calories every day" mentality. My brain keeps telling me to go back to bed if I'm not going to eat.0

@Cerealsensei You're a man, and it's Christmas and you ate 1273 calories?
Miracles happen lol. But honestly compared to previous years we didnt have a big dinner and since ive been eating healthier i dont have the same desire to pig out like i used to

Way way more but today I am staying on track. I ate enough cookies yesterday and food, to last me a week. However I had fun, life is short and today is new.0

I hope you don't regularly eat so little.4 -
I started Christmas Eve with a double spin class and held off with a protein bar and yogurt until 5 pm.
Then, dinner. I stopped counting calories when I hit 3500. I didn't bother logging yesterday's dinner and will do another obscene calories add to complete the day. Zero exercise - not even a walk.
Back to normal today. Double spin, 1250 net goal. Will not go near a scale until I know the water weight is gone.1 -

Have no idea. I just put in maintenance calories for the day, and will do the same for today (Boxing day). Will get back at it tomorrow. Definitely less than a normal Christmas, no cookies and less alcohol, but still had Christmas pudding and sauce. And sauce. God I love that sauce. Basically brown sugar and cream.
Did walk the dogs for 45 mins but otherwise was a log in front of the TV.2 -

My max is 1850, but i have been thinking for awhile that i should start eating a bigger breakfast. Sometimes my mornings are hard to get through because i eat a small breakfast and then end up pretty hungry again once i get to work.0 -

If MFP tells you to eat 1850 that's a GOAL. You really need to fuel your body. I'm 51, menopausal, and I eat more than you. Just sayin.2 -
I didn't log anything on Christmas, but I did go to the gym and 2 miles on the treadmill. Figured that would help.1
-
Probably like 5000 calories lol!! But, its one day out of a year - so not too fussed! And am already back to focussing on loosing weight again0
-
I don't have a clue about calories or macros for that past few days. The fire station was a constant stream of people bringing us cookies and candy and donuts, and thankfully some sandwiches. The house was full of leftovers including more pies, etc.
I began my new WOE and exercise on JAN 1, 2016 so a few days of indulging out of 365 aren't going to bother me. But, now the holidays are over and I'm going back to food tracking and going back running again today.1 -
Too much ethnic dishes. Gained +1.2 temp pounds. Back on track today. Christmas leftover= large bowl of untouched salad lol0
-
1,800 probably0

Christmas isn't generally a massive feast day in my family...yes, we get together and enjoy a nice dinner as a family, but it's hardly anything like Thanksgiving.
My wife made a nice breakfast casserole with eggs and croissants and sweet Italian sausage...we ate that and drank coffee and watched to kids open their presents. We didn't really do lunch as we had appetizers of cold smoked salmon and bacon wrapped scallops out to nibble on. I made a nice ham with sauteed green beans, roasted mushrooms, and mashed potatoes for dinner.
If I had to guess, it wasn't really much, if anything more than a regular day.1 -
thielke2015 wrote: »As the title says.... did anyone track if so, what was your input?
I consumed 2,100 which is over my 1560 allowance ( but it's Christmas) and I walked and burned 274 but ate that bavk
2406 calories. Normal goal 1810. And absolutely no time to burn any exercise calories.1 -

Same here - I'm 50, perimenopausal, 5'6", and always eat more than 1600 calories, let alone 1200. However, I do use a digital food scale and the recipe builder, and have a high degree of confidence in the calories I'm consuming when eating at home, which is the vast majority of the time.
I had at least 2500 calories yesterday.1 -
I worked two double shifts over Christmas, so staying within my normal calorie goal wasn't a challenge. However, I had the MOST VIVID dream about going to a holiday gathering with a huge buffet and pigging out like nobody's business. I woke up thinking I had just undone about a month worth of dieting...and I can't tell you how relieved I was to realize that it was just a dream!! Pheew! The initial shock aside, it was kinda awesome to get to "enjoy" all my favorite foods and treats without having to pay the price on the scale.2
-
only 150-200cal.above my goal yesterday.i had been creating the recipes all week, so i knew exactly how much i can eat .i had a bit extra because it was awesome and that's why i went over. tomorrow will be another big day, but i'm not worried either. first i'll create the recipe, then i will calculate how much awesome food i can eat.0
