It helps when I get a cramp or charlie horse...my guess would be the potassium. It's also fairly rich in antioxidants and probiotics...
As far as the vast majority of claims go...bunch of woo...it's not going to help with weight loss or anything like that.3 -
Some people have reported that it helps with heartburn, though I haven't found this to be the case.
If you're wondering if it will help with weight loss, the answer is no, not at all. Though it is a great way to add flavor to salad dressings and sauces without adding any calories!6 -
It does nothing for weight loss.2
-
There are benefits, but it isn't the magic weight-loss solution people make it out to be. I like the taste of it, but for people who don't like it, I say don't torture yourself.4
-
Beneficial for what? I know for a fact, it didn't help with my acid reflux. It's pretty good on salad. Other than that, I have nothing.3

A quick google & you will find that ACV is a cure-all. What is it that you expect it to do?
Clean your windows? - yep
Treat skin iritations? - yep
Help some people with acid reflux? - yep
Burn fat? - nope
Help you lose weight? - nope
Cure cancer? - nope
Most of what you find re: ACV is woo - backed by junk science (if there is any backing at all).7 -
I've tried it. It's awesome on pulled pork and can also be a reasonable substitute for malt vinegar on fish & chips if I don't happen to have any malt vinegar handy.
For weight loss? Doesn't help one bit, unless maybe chugging the malt vinegar keeps you from drinking a chocolate milkshake instead.4 -

Kind of reminds me of Windex in My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

I agree 100%, but using ACV is better than going without vinegar. Because fish & chips without vinegar just isn't fish & chips!5 -
I'm trying ACV for fibroids after reading this: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/comment/38292073/#Comment_38292073
Not optimistic but it's not hurting anything. Been doing this for a few weeks. Have not noticed any weight loss effects.
I heat 12 oz water, add 1 T blackstrap molasses, 1 T vinegar, 1 t powdered buffered vitamin C. It's absolutely dreadful.0 -

Yeah. I wouldn't expect weight loss from it. I've only ever seen it used for fibroids and cysts. It definitely takes several months to work. Have you had an US to measure the size of your fibroids? Or are they located in such a place where an US would work for that? It was kind of cool that one of my best friends had hers measured before and after because she (and the doctor) could actually see then how much it had changed.2 -
It cleared my nail fungus. I know. Gross.3

Probably works better than expensive meds with side effects!

It worked great to help clear up a hot spot my dog had on his head.1
-
It's good for yeast infections...1
-
It is great in cole slaw. There is no proof that ACV is helpful for anything besides making food taste good.3
-
It does have antifungal effects. Also there are a number of these sorts of studies around.

so there is some supported conclusions that it reduces blood sugar for some with insulin resistance.0 -
I use it as an astringent on my face after I wash it. I don't have acne.

Same but only in the summer. I love it for that1 -
Good on salad. I put it in the empty bottle to get that last stop of dressing out or to thin the dressing and bbq sauce to stretch serving sizes.2

I do it most nights. It is supposed to help with weight loss but I do it primarily for gout (if it helps me lose weight I will take that also). I've had it knock down a gout attack in a couple of hours.
I take 2-tbs in a cup and add about 6-tbs of tart cherry juice (gout remedy also) and drink it down without stopping and without breathing through my nose so I don't taste it (I don't like vinegar). Then I chase it with a glass of water and try to rinse my teeth off so they won't suffer damage from the acid. I breath through the nose after the water chaser and it can still give me shudders doing that but I can get it down.

If we realize that not all calories consumed are used as energy and some are excreted (the body is 100% efficient at using the calories provided to it) then you can consider things like ACV effecting that efficiency.1 -

A person at work was able to get off meds and cured his stomach problems with it.0 -
You do realize you can't alkalize your body, right?

I use it in my bath, occasionally rinse my scalp with it, and use it with food a lot. If you have access to unpasteurized cider, you can just add a little of the mother from Braggs to it and make your own raw vinegar a lot cheaper. You can also make your own vinegar from fruit peels if you have a large canning or freezing project. Just be warned that the filmy mother in Braggs turns into a giant slimy critter in home brewed vinegar, you will want to have names ready for your new pets. Or you can just use pasteurized vinegar for many purposes, unless you are deliberately seeking out the probiotics and such. A lot of the Braggs claims are just a very clever marketing ploy for an expensive product.0

It mows my lawn and does my homework.

Probably all the derp and woo and science you could possibly want can be found in one of the inaugural debate section threads: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10335447/apple-cider-vinegar/p11

Doesn't hurt, but doesn't really help.
