Being said- I'm wildly impressed that you can eat 1.5 pounds of potatoes... that's a f**k load of potatoes.

I'll actually be doing it again tonight. I have started tinkering with some carb timing stuff in an attempt to push PRs without getting carb bloat. It's working well for me so far, but it's only been about a week.

With my current program- I learned quickly the value of carb timing- I figured out I was dying through my heavy lifts. Now I save something for 4 PM ish for when I get to the gym between 5-530.
    Makes a huge difference.

My carb of choice is cake. because- cake. LOL

Cake pre-workout and jelly beans intra-workout makes for a good session.

I lift early in the morning, so I've been doing the potatoes the night before, black beans about an hour or two before, and shredded wheat as a post.

Man I give you props- I cannot eat in the morning- I hate eating breakfast- and that means I lift fasted- and lifting fasted is easily the worst feeling in the world.
So good on you for getting up to eat and getting it done- I wish I could lift in the morning- waiting till the afternoon kind of sucks- but it means I get good lifts in- which is useful.

Oh definitely. I actually do perform a little better in the evenings, but not enough that it's worth it for me to deal with a building full of people, when I can have it to myself by showing up at 3-4:00 am. About the third time I have to wait on someone doing something, I'm ready to say "*kitten* it" and go home. When I start flowing, I get senselessly angry at someone being in my way. Best to just avoid the prospect.

absolutely- when I used to train at LA Fitness- I would go home from work- then go back at like 7:30.

I go to a much smaller gym now- which you would think would make it worse- but really the only time I have any issues is when I need to bench on Monday's for obvious reasons. I bench ever time I lift- so it can be tricky- but Monday's is usually the worst.

That's why my lifting routine is also T,T,S,S. You can tell I don't play well with others. M,W,F are definite no goes for me, unless I am hitting my 8-10x/week lift schedule.

Yeah- unfortunately I have dance class and a long distance off schedule husband- so I frequently do Monday- Thursday Saturday.

M-W-F is not ideal at all- but meh- whatever- I gotta train- my a** is big enough I just shove people out of the way half the time.

We have a front room and a back room and the back room is usually more empty- so I can get it done. I'm grateful to have some serious people who seriously love to train- so it works out well.
