I admire all of the selfie posters. I think it is really brave for everyone to put themselves out there, regardless of the reasons.
I also think the camaraderie in these threads is awesome.
As I've posted before, I really like the "bad selfie" thread, I appreciate the candor and humility, it always makes me smile!
Keep it up everyone2 -

This is what selfies are really about.0 -
I have had so many ask me why I take selfies and you know to be honest, I want to save the moment. There are 24 hours in the day and most of those I probably spend picking myself apart...but every once in awhile I catch a little bit of confidence, an "oh hai! You looking good right now" moment and I know how fleeting they are so I snap it, and I have it....then when one of the 23 hours of hating myself comes around I post it here and the outpouring of love reminds me that I'm really not as terrible as I think. Selfies are not bad, self love is not negative.3

Sometimes people just want to share an image of themselves in a moment. Like me in this selfie indifferent to opinions about how or why I posted it (hint: I don't care for compliments or what someone on the internet thinks of me).
Why is it such a concern to consider what someone 'gets' out of posting a pic of them self?
I want to know what someone 'gets' from trying to analyse, criticise or hating on someone else's motivation to share a photo.
Actually - that's not true. I really don't.
