I'm not looking down on them I'm just curious what people get out of it sexy pics I mean it just seems idk.
Of course you aren't. You also aren't seeking validation of people who might agree with you, that you think people who post pictures are only fishing for compliments.
I get ya.
All good things for you.
I'm totally not seeking people to validate and agree with me I'm just a debater by nature also like to hear from both sides of the fence to spark and interesting convo

I think because MFP is a fitness app, it probably has a lot to do with people being proud of the progress they're making and want to show off a little.
On a PC, the pics on the selfie threads are huge. Those people have got some balls.
ETA - figuratively.9 -

Sometimes receiving a compliment can make all the difference in your day. Also, you do not get to see these people in real life...It is fun to see your friends! I get that it isn't for everyone though....4

I don't post selfies very often. I don't like how I look in pictures, which is why I tend to be silly with it and use a Snapchat filter. I usually do it because others are. It's just to go along with a conversation or topic, etc. I don't do sexy ones. Typically my selfies are from the neck up. LOL0

I'm not trying to hate just trying to spark up a discussion0

You are correct the internet is not a safe place
The only safe place is the forest where no cell phone towers exist within 100 kilometres
But then again that would mean going up to northern Ontario and sitting up there
And we all know what goes on. On those privately owned land masses up there
Not safe things

Other than my profile and gallery pics, I mostly only post selfies on my ig. People that follow it know that I use it for gym related *kitten*, so if they aren't interested the don't have to be there. I like being able to look back at past posts and see the progress I have made. And it's always nice to get a kudos or two along the way.3

People on a fitness community app are looking for encouragement affirmation and support. It's really that simple. If you don't want to or can't encourage affirm or support them then don't.4

I don't want to get too far off topic, but am I the only one that's suspicious of people who don't use a real pic of themselves?9

So all the boys will tell me how pretty I am.

There is no reason to share a picture with other people unless you wanted them to compliment it or comment on it. If you do it on a daily basis, you probably have some issues. Most people are narcissist..0
