I can't wait for the day when Valentine's Day actually means showing someone you appreciate them, or even that you appreciate what they did for you...

    I don't really think we need a holiday for that anyways. I mean most people in healthy relationships hopefully show that everyday, not once a year.

    I agree, 100% - I guess that's where I failed myself. I shouldn't expect to be appreciated one day of the year when it doesn't regularly occur as is. Good point.

    My husband and I don't even celebrate Valentine's day. We show each other appreciation, love and buy stuff throughout the year. We have an agreement that if we only do this once a year because the calendar told us too then we would need to work on our marriage.
