Sometimes, having a second dog bums me out because they enjoy each OTHER so much that they kind of ignore me.

    Also, I'm a child.

    That's the one reason I can't foster. I can't give away animals I foster.

I won an auction from a French Bulldog rescue and my prize was a painting of my dog from a wonderful artist. She really captured Dot’s personality.

    I love it!

I have a painting of one of my old dogs. I recommend everyone gets one of their dog. He's been gone now for awhile and I have some pictures, but not enough.

I agree with you. I’ve been trying to take more pictures of her lately. The painting is something I will always treasure.

I’d like to see the painting, if you don’t mind posting it.

@mij140 - Where is this artist located? (Generally: state or region if you don’t want to say city; just curious if anywhere near me)

Did she do the painting just from a photo? I really love it.

@beagletracks - I googled her and it’s a New Jersey number. She has a website too and looks like she is still painting. I’d be happy to pm the site to you if you would like.

    That would be great, thanks!

Yeah. We puppy sit a friend's puppy sometimes and even after a week they're still all over each other and I feel completely ignored! We have two dogs but our oldest is almost 14 so it's not like they play much together (although the 1yo tries!).

I'm not sure I will want another dog later for that reason. I really don't know...

Crazy puppy after playing in wet leaves.

OMG - the same "velcro" fur that my terrorist has! She brings in all sorts of grass and leaves and stuff all the time. Today it was a 12 inch stick totally tangled in her tail, I had to cut a chunk out to get it loose.
