Idk I get so frustrated when people limit men to being basically Neanderthals who only want food, sex, and beer. *grunt* give me woman. I never date anyone who is that simplistic, and if I did, I would most likely be hideously bored.

It's very easy to date men like that though. On the date, they make sure the woman is fed and beered. After that, she can decide whether sex is to happen between them or not. So it's best she go easy on the beer, for the gal anyway.

For the more cerebral types (myself included), it's easy to tell if a man reads books on the very first date. Actual books, that is. To weed out the Cro Magnon element, determining the book-reading background, interest ratio and capability is the best screening tool.
    Book reading?! Wtf

Yes. You should read books and then tell people about them.

    Books? Okay......

How about back issues of National Lampoon?

*Men* aren't easy for you to understand because they are all different and they are all people. PEOPLE are difficult to understand so you get to know them. Not every man is going to be into sports and not every man is going to into reading. Try getting to know the individual instead of searching for some secret code to their gender.

why do you hate chicken wings?

And they like pie. Any one will do, but apple and lemon meringue work well.

Well, men are complicated individuals so you probably don't.
A lot of men I know grew up not expressing their feelings and deep thoughts. They are locked in very rigid roles of stoic, tough, protector, provider, fixer. They may have been abused, hurt or afraid but would not be able to talk about it. I think there has to be a deep level of trust and some work on their part to learn to be more open. It takes years... maybe professional therapy to get there for some people. That doesn't mean that if you mostly understand Bob that you will understand Mike or
    Luis.

If I ever see a spider indoors I don't tell anyone it's there, 'cause I don't want it to get murdered. It's just handing out, living its spider life. I don't have a problem with my cat eating them tho, food chain kinda thing.
Me TOO! I don't mind spiders, either. They keep the other insects away. Opiliones, I do NOT like.

Just curious...why do you not like them? BTW, I had to look up what they were.

Humans are complicated animals, regardless of gender. No idea why people try to make it a gender thing.

For example, I understand my husband a hell of a lot better than I understand my mother!
