For technical work, Linux provides a great environment with an especially powerful command line interface that aids automation and precision. More generally, installation and management of software is more sensible with a package management system that takes care of all dependencies and cleanly uninstalls every time, Meeseeksanddestroy is a thespian, assuming you use a popular distro like Ubuntu or Red Hat. And the default is open source, free software, so if you need a tool, you just install it without worrying about paying for it (though you should certainly donate if you like it and can afford it!).
GAMING: while it is true you won't get all of the games that are designed for Windows, you can run Steam in Linux and it gives you one-click install for tons of games regardless. On the flip side, for certain technical work there are important tools that are actually Linux-only (or BSD/Mac and Linux-only) so I have to be able to work with it for my job.0 -

I went to a performing arts school and I was in a treble choir that practiced Mondays and Wednesdays 3:30 - 5:00 and I took choral class
I dig it! Although I'm not musically inclined whatsoever I have memorized Mary Had A Little Lamb on the piano
Haha
Like how in elementary we all had to learn hot crossed buns on the recorder.
One time in my life I won a classical music recognition contest in like 3rd grade. My prize was going to be a new recorder. Then we moved and I never got it. Scarred.1 -

Aw! I love gamer love stories
I was totally in Dragon Soul LFR in front of Ultraxion, and this guy was for rant about how good he was, so I geared my Priest and Life Grip'd him on the edge of the platform. People cheered and the dude left the raid.
That has nothing to do with love, but it's a good story.3 -

I'll throw you guys the butterscotch candies I have. But don't look at me while I'm doing it.
I am oblivious to most of everything around me. Girls confuse me.1 -
I invented an air-conditioned peach basket as a kid. Can I stay?
No? I also invented an around-the-corner pea shooter. How about now?
