The ps4 battle front bundle comes out tomorrow and it's only $299...

Wanted to get it as a Xmas gift for my son, but there's just no way I don't play it tomorrow lol

I guess you haven't heard about loot boxes and microtransactions yet.

It takes over 4500 hours (187 Days and 12 Hours) of play, or $2100 to unlock all content in Star Wars: Battlefront 2, according to player estimates.

It's only a full time job for two years

Or the cost of an engagement ring, which nobody who is playing it will need anyway

Hey now! Lots of nerdy ppl get engaged

But not the ones playing Star Wars Battlefront II is his point. They are spending all their spare time or money on the game.

Well no one is saying you have to unlock every single skin in the game...

Or invest 1/2 your waking life on playing it either...

It's totally possible to buy it, play with my kid when I'm off and live a normal life....

I'm talking about buying a video game here, not taking up crack lol

Uhhh, like I have that kind of self control. I'm not really an adult.

I mean... It's not like it's Skyrim :grimace:

I had a good laugh over that when my husband and I were discussing this. I mean, I love games like Skyrim and FF, but there isn't any way in hell I'd spend that much money or time on something. Skyrim already sucked away enough of my life.

The problem is me. I also can't stop reading books or watching movies if I've started.

And this is why I am still slogging through Under the Dome and sat through reading every Twilight book. Every. Single. One.

Again, I don't think you've heard of loot boxes or microtransactions.

Recently, early access Battlefront 2 players have been doing the math about the current heroes in the game that you need to unlock with Credits.

While the game offers a selection you can use from the outside, adding new heroes like Vader or Luke to your roster currently costs 60,000 Credits each.

To put that in context, at 11 minutes per game and about 275 Credits earned a match, that works out to forty hours of game time to unlock one hero. And that means you can’t spend your Credits on anything else including loot boxes.
