    I always use my pic. Or me with my daughters. And if ppl think I look funny/different/unattractive, does it really matter? It's not a dating site

    I also think it's weird people using pictures of other people as a profile picture but as others suggested it could be some kind of a catfish attempt. This is my profile picture, but I might just switch to some cute inanimate object.

    i find this kind of avatar cute (since some features look like mine anyways) but i constantly want to change to a picture of me since i see everyone with profile pictures of themselves, but i have it matching with my boyfriend so ill keep this :P

    Never been photogenic. Actually ticks my wife off because we do not have many family photos. However a friend of mine while on a trip last week got a good photo of me while on the helicopter heading out to a platform. As soon as he sends it to me it will be used as my new photo on here.

    Privacy. Once a pic is posted on the Net, it's there forever. You can never take it back. Lots of people who've regretted that.

    Besides, I think my Homer avatar is cute and funny; much more so than a pic of me would be.

    Contrary to what my husband may believe, I am not just a pair of eyes and a stomach as my avatar suggests :D

    I have pictures of myself available in my profile, but it's just not habit for me to blare my picture out into the weberverse like I used to.

    I would have to be REALLY old to have been the subject of an Edgar Degas painting!

    I use this because I've always loved this painting. It's my second-favorite (but Judith slaying Holofernes doesn't crop/reduce nearly as well) I like the colors, the use of light, and I enjoy dancing. I do wish we knew more about who this dancer was.

    Contrary to my husbands opinion, my avatar is not a picture of me. I am more than a pair of eyes and a stomach.

    This is my profile pic because I think it's appropriate. When I get bored of it, it will change. Maybe to a photo of me.

    I prefer pictures of art I've created.. or cats. Lots and lots of cats.

    It's a thing, and my workplace unfortunately decided to post my pic and full work info on their website.

    On a positive note, I get to remind myself what my nutso dog was like back when he was a nutso pup. Not a bad thing :smile:
