So, at 29 yeaes old I'm in this weight loss journey, bettering myself, becoming healthy and fit, and changing a lot of things in my life. One thing I could use a bit of help with is wardrobe. I've always been a modest "tshirt and jeans" type, but with this new lifestyle I was thinking of "reimaging" myself. Looking for some new duds and wondering what the opposite sex likes to see a man wear.

Visit dappered.com - they do it right, classy without being overbearing. Read a lot, buy very little. If you pay attention they'll teach you how to do manly and put together rather than fashion forward.

I get more looks from women in clothes being understated but right on fit than I ever did from muscles. They like the gift wrapping. :ohwell:

Looks like @CoffeeAndContour has the casual side nailed.

I just checked this out and bookmarked it; thanks!

I pretty much have my wardrobe down and try to buy American made whenever I can; it ain't always easy.

    I typically buy the following:

    Jeans - Levi's 541 or 508, J Crew Sutton
Undershirts and wear - Uniqlo Airism
Ts and Henley's - vneck Supima cotton, all cotton, no poly
Polos - retro looking stuff from banana republic, on sale - luxe touch cotton, never poly
Chinos - J Crew Factory Sutton
Dress shirts - Charles Tyrwhitt slim, on sale at $30 per
Suits - Spier and Mackay or Suit Supply
Ties - grenadine, usually from Chipp, though I prefer tieless and scruffy faced

I just flipped through some pages on the site, saw some that are right up my alley

I guess it depends on what type of women you want to attract. The photos above are a nice start! But then again, I may not have been looking at the clothes. Lol! I tend to look more at their face. I'm sure other women do too. Jeans and shirts are fine with me!

My favorite pic she sent was "Confused guy on Bicycle" lol

Hahahaha... mine was the last pic cuz C'MON RR... lol

Ryan Reynolds is rediculous, he's a beast. Lean, cut, and bulky. Definitely good inspiration

    Not to mention HILARIOUS!!

    Ryan Reynolds.... swoon

I only like him if he has facial hair.

I prefer him with facial hair but still swoon over him without. Which is rare for me since I'm not much into clean shaven.

    True story: I have never

    just throwing this out there

I wear a pair of Red Wing Iron Ranger boots. I get compliments on them all of the time.

They are wicked comfortable, wear like iron and are American made.

I pair them with dark washed denim and the shirt of my choice.

Right?! I am a fan of tees/jeans on a man <3 But I have also never cared about name brand .. if they look good on you and you feel good in them.. it will show and confidence, my friend, is everything!

Positive reception definitely helps with that. Thank you!

My husband wears polo shirts or button down shirts even flannel. Jeans 97percent of the time. I love him for who he is and not what he wears.

Clothes that fit- not super baggy nor too tight. Clothes that are clean and in good condition.
You could try a button up shirt or sweater occasionally if your wardrobe is usually t-shirts.
Explore what colors look best with your skin tone and hair color. Maybe shades of blue or various pastel colors look good on you.

    also... dress for the occasion

blue jeans don't work for every occasion

we're rather casual here, so jeans work much of the time

although, it's good to stand out from the crowd (in a good way)

I leave for a few minutes and we aren't talking about Ryan Reynolds or how nice a man with reddish hair looks in green... Shame... ;)

I do have some black dress pants and shoes for really formal occasions ie: weddings, fine parties, or when i take a date to a real fancy place. But you just cant put a price on a good pair of blues haha

I do best with dark, solid colors i think. Dark purple and dark green go well with my complexion. I'm a pale ginger lol
