Successes / struggles this week: Business trip, skipped a lunch, ate an entire large pizza in one sitting for dinner, was glad I couldn't weigh in Monday morning, but it would appear that the splurge didn't hurt me much if at all. It was nasty unfulfilling pizza, though. It didn't deserve to have calories.

Successes / struggles this week: At the beginning of May I dropped like 7 pounds solely from CICO and making healthier choices. Now I've started lifting and doing cardio regularly and the number on the scale went up a pound and has fluctuated up and back down to 174.5 since then. I know about water retention in muscles when starting new exercise. I know it's still too early to make big judgements. And I know that the scale is only half the story, but the last few days have left me really fighting against discouraging myself. I feel so hungry and grumpy all the time since I've started going to the gym, and not seeing even a hint of positive change is messing with my willpower. Been gaining and losing the same 10ish pounds for such a long time now and I just want to be under 170 for the first time in forever.
Stick with it! I literally went through this for like 1.5 months. I was already working out probably 6x a week, but I swapped out a set of workouts to lift heavy 3x per week, and I also added in C25K 3x a week, and the scale would not budge! I guess I shouldn't say it didn't budge lol, like you I was going up/down the same 1-2 lbs. it was approaching 2 months and I was like wth! And then out of nowhere I dropped 3 lbs! And every week since I've consistently lost nearly 2 lbs a week.
It's hard, but in the meantime just try and focus on the fact that you're getting stronger or that you can run further. Maybe check your measurements! Just keep doing what you're doing.2 -

My muscles ache from working out. I have a sweet tooth and am trying to stay away from my husband and kids candy and snacks. Just trying to get use to the healthy changes for now and trying to master food prep for the week so when I work a 12 hour shift at the hospital I'm not eating junk!!2 -
I need something like these challenges to keep me engaged and accountable. :-)

It's all the beer garden's fault! Even though I biked 45 minutes each way on Saturday, nothing can overcome those pints of high ABV hoppy bliss. Monday's may not have been the smartest weigh in day to pick.
Over the last month I am still up at there was a two week diet holiday, slowly working back to where I was. Expect to break 130 again mid week. Recently upped my calories by 100 per day to 1300. While I am love having the occasional snack or adding cheese to my meals again it is slowing my progress more than I thought it would.

I had a wedding and a family party over the weekend so while I'm annoyed that I didn't even maintain, I'm kinda happy that I'm only up one pound. Seeing the number rise rather than fall has knocked some sense into me and I've been on track since Wednesday. 4 more days to go before weigh day and I'm hoping to stay going as I am.1 -

Successes / struggles this week: Need to reduce alcohol to one glass of wine per day/go out with friends less. My scale isn't consistent if I weight myself multiple times in a row consecutively, the value varies by a pound (I took the average of readings). Motivationally it would be nice to have a reproducible reading. Advice on forums says to keep your scale in one place and zero it out by weighing just your foot first.1 -
