I'll join in. This is my first round. I'm a 47 yo female, 5'6.
Started at 193 pounds in July 2016
Lost to 137 pounds by April 2017.
I'd like to lose some of the almost 10 pounds I have gained back since April (too many vacation meals and drinks!)

7/22/ 146.4 / O.k., I gained more than I thought!
7/23 / 145.0 / This time I weighed first thing in the morning. Stuck to under 1200 calories yesterday.
7/24 / 142.6 / Wow! Looks like it must have been water weight from all the salty food and drink over the last 2-3 weeks. I will keep drinking water and stay under 1200 calories. Less than 7 pounds to go.
7/25 / 142.7 / Under 1200 calories yesterday. I want to add exercise, but afraid I will overeat due to increased hunger.
7/26 / 141.6 / Did I really have 5 pounds of water weight?? Now how long to lose the last 5 or so pounds?
7/27 / 142.4 / 30 min on elliptical/ ate back about 300 calories
7/28 / 144.2 / Went to L.A. for the day with a friend and our daughter. Lunch at American Girl Cafe + Dinner at Cheesecake Factory + feeling like a glass of wine with dinner = going over by at least 1050 calories, likely more even by ordering chicken sandwich and off of the Skinnylicious menu. I sometimes miss eating whatever I want without worrying about it. I even counted the walking as exercise. Oh well, it was a really fun day!
7/29 / 144.4 / Stayed under 1200 yesterday. Hope this drops by tomorrow. Will drink more water and jump on elliptical today.
7/30 /144.8 / Exercised, BUT had 2 glasses of wine, had dinner at a relatives and overdid it by 600 + calories. I need to get more serious about this! I know it works IF I stay under calories EVERY day. I think it's harder when I have a smaller amount to lose. I will do better next round. It will be easier when I am back to work (teacher) next week and have a more regular routine. Also, I need to stop the mentality that once I've gone over calories that the day is shot. Then I continue to eat more. That is not helping me achieve my goals.
7/31 143.4 / Elliptical 30 min yesterday + large amount of water + did not eat back all exercise calories!
On Day 1 of this challenged I weighed in later in the day, and my weight usually goes up as the day goes on....so I will count my weight on Day 2 as my starting weight.
Weight lost this challenge: 1.6 pounds. I hope to lose another 1.5 for the next 10 day challenge.
Lessons learned:
1. Eating out a restaurant or at someone else's house seems to give me the excuse to overeat and forget about staying within my calorie range. I need to learn how to do both without overdoing it as much.
2. It is a challenge for me to not eat back all of my earned exercise calories, but I want to exercise to feel healthier and stronger.
3. Drinking more water combined with staying within my calorie range makes the scale go down.
4. Seeing other people's daily weigh-ins was so helpful. I realized that I am not the only one whose weight fluctuates on a daily basis.10 -

7/22: 209.4 -- under calories and worked out yesterday. A friend is coming in from out of town this weekend.
7/23: 210 -- over calories yesterday but worked out. Arms are sore.
7/24: 213.8 -- posting this for accountability but it's probably inaccurate since I weighed after having coffee and a bite with my friend this morning and seeing her off. Over calories yesterday, but I walked quite a bit more than usual. Even though we hit two restaurants yesterday I ate and drank less than I would have a few months ago, so I'm calling it an NSV.
7/25: 213.2 -- blergggghhhh. Under calories, worked out yesterday.
7/26: 213.2 --under calories, worked out yesterday. So frustrating.
7/27: 210.8 -- over calories, worked out yesterday. Frustrated and unmotivated. Dinner out tonight, too.
7/28: 210.8 -- I've spent the majority of this week annoyed at myself for overeating. However, I have made different choices than I would have months ago; I've continued to work out, and even though I overate at dinner yesterday, I didn't drink. So in the spirit of trying to be kind to myself, I say: Baby steps. Onward and downward.
7/29: 208.8 -- slightly over calories (50ish), worked out yesterday.
7/30: 209.6 -- just over calories, took my dad out for a nice dinner, zumba yesterday.
7/31: 207.8 -- huh? Over calories (not liking this pattern), worked out yesterday.

7/22 - 164.9 Lots of coffee today and 13,000 steps!!!
7/23 - 164. 20,000 steps on a ocean boardwalk and a hotdog for lunch!!
7/24 - 164.6 Will continue to hit over my step goal and prep some jar salads and protien for the week.
7/25 - 164.4 12,900 steps. Not really pushing myself but I do have a lot of energy. Like to do 15,000 steps but it's so hot!
7/26 - 163.8 Over 16,000 steps including an evening walk. Hit just under my cals and even had an ice cream treat.... Nestle Real Cream Maple Bars 110 calories. OMG such a nice evening treat. There is chocolate too!!
7/27 - 162.8 Hit a mini goal here... Goal to lose 60lbs before my birthday which is tomorrow. Yay me. My slow progress to 159 isn't looking so slow. Mine and my Mom's birthday is this weekend a few parties and next week is a big camping music festival that we attend so I'll be expecting a gain here. Now my next mini goal is to pull out of these 2 weeks and not fall completely off the wagon. This will be my biggest challenge!!! Please wish my luck.
7/28 - 163.4 Not bad, got step goal in too. Dinner out tonight and a cocktail party tomorrow, will need to figure out how to get my steps in. Will celebrate with a small or shared dessert tonight!! Then set myself up to get back on track. I'm at a point where I want to start slowing down my loss rate, but I've 2 weeks of parties, festivals, camping and family events and a few days of no scale (Eeeek!!). So i'll try and maintain for this time and then cut for a week and hope for a sodium/water loss!! Still needing luck sent my way!!

7/22: 193.4 waaaat?! Lol weight coming down fast all of a sudden. Probably because it's hella hot here in NYC, and I've been a lot of walking in addition to my active job. Still, wasn't expecting to see 93 this morning. Hopefully I can keep my focus.
7/23: 194.4 I knew it was too good to be true. Also, didnt get enough water yesterday. Only managed about 6 cups. But I'm still under 95 so I'll take that lol
7/24: 193.6
7/25: 193.0☺ I have a few days off, so I'm going to try staying active, even though I want to rest.
7/26: 193.4 late instant ramen craving that I couldn't deny. Also, didn't get much walking in since I was stuck doing an online training for work, but lots of water and back on the grind tomorrow.

7/28: 195.4 really? Took my Mom to Max Brenner for dinner last night, but I did some walking so I was NOT expecting the results to be this bad....need to put in a lot of work to undo this
7/29: 194.4 that's more reasonable. Got my steps in and drank a decent amount of water yesterday.
7/30: 193.4 I ate well under calories only managed about 1300cals, not on purpose, and not because I think it's good, but I just ran out of time during the day. Glad I didn't stay up and end up hungry enough to eat late at night.
7/31: 193.2 Better. On the round 12!7 -

07/24--229.4 Totally surprised. Had a lot of salt yesterday and went over my calories by about 1000. Still under 230. It may catch up with me tomorrow, but happy with the small increase today.
07/25--228.8 Drank a lot of water yesterday to help counter with the excess salt I had the day before...I guess it helped. I'm making sure to drink a lot of water today as well.
07/26--227.9 I'm keeping up with the water drinking. Also, the fact that I haven't done any weightlifting this week also accounts for some of the larger than normal weight loss.

07/28--227.9 I was expecting this as I had big whoosh over the last couple of days. Still under 230 for this rounds I am happy, I think I can keep at it this weekend. I will be back to my weightlifting today, so we'll see how my body reacts to that tomorrow.
07/29--229.4 Well, my body reacted as expected. Total water retention from my great weightlifting session yesterday. I'm off for a hike!
07/30--228.8 Water loss. Rest day today. Still under the 230's, hopefully I can hold on to it until the end of the round.
07/31--229.7. I'm glad that I stayed under 230, but what these past 10 days have taught me is that I really need to get a strategy for the weekends to make sure I get my water in. I showed both a 2.5 loss and gain during this round and I know that a lot of it had to do with me getting my liquids in.

My 10 day goal is to get to 351lbs, exercise 7/10 days and log everything.
7/22: 354.4
7/23: 354.2 Went over calories, but still ate pretty well. I didn't drink enough water for the day.
7/24: 353.0 I exercised first thing in the morning, stayed under macros and went to bed early. Did not drink as much water as I could have.
7/25: 353.0 Meh, stayed under macros tho.
7/26: 352.8 I exercised, drank 88 oz of water and spent several hours outside in the heat. I indulged in homemade chili cheese fries, but did not go back for seconds. I stayed under calories, but I need to watch the sodium intake.
7/27: 354.8 Stayed up really late with friends eating junk.
7/28: 354.0 Need to drink more water today.
7/29: 353.0 Drank my water goal.
7/30: 351.4 Did not quite reach my water goal, but ate pretty light. Didn't do any exercise today.

7/26 - 157.8 - I was only 8oz short to 1/2 my body weight in water! Hope to keep this loss as I always go off track on the weekends.
7/27- 157.7 - a loss is a loss and I ate a pretty carb heavy dinner (sub & chips) and I indulged in a little bit of ice cream which I haven't done in a while.
7/28- 159.6 - UGHH I knew this was going to happen! My daughters birthday was yesterday and we did breakfast and dinner out... going to push water and eat really well!

I carry water with me everywhere. It's the only way I can see to get enough. I've read to metabolize fat, you need water.3 -

7/27 - 176 - 1lbs away from my goal for this round! Still about 10 away from my ultimate goal but it's ok.. slowly getting there. Trying deperately not to get derailed by my job stress. Seeing how much it makes me want to eat makes me want to quit!! Lol really I just need a different outlet.
7/28 - 175.5 worked out but only ate to my original goal instead of the goal + workout calories.
7/29 - 175.5 again today & missed my workout.. or rather slept through my alarm due to a sleepless toddler night and didn't have time to go . 175 is so close!! I will do it!!
7/30 - 175!! i was so temped to say forget about it all last night and binge, but then I thought about MyFitnessPal goal for this challenge and I ate some veggies instead. You guys are all so helpful in this journey!

7/22 247.8 Muscle relaxer took care of back pain, thank goodness. So I ran a 5K today! Gentle stretch and I am doing fine. Looks like I ~was~ retaining water. Doing great now.
7/23 246.8 Was horribly lazy today AND I ate terribly. TOM.
7/24 250.0 Well, back to running again. That's not good. Of course, I had cheesecake for dinner last night and nearly no water all day. Cravings like whoa.
7/25 Didn't weigh in. Fighting cravings with healthy snacks.

7/28 249.4 Been doing back strengthening exercises. It's helping.
7/29 246.2 Getting back into the swing of things with a 2 mile run today! TOM ended and weight feel off. The working out likely helped too!
7/30 244.2 Back on track with my lowest weight yet. AND I ran 2 miles today at a 13 min/mile pace. AND I've been eating well! I am just rocking the hell out of life today!

Well, the scale has gone up and down (and up and down and up and down), but my body fat percentage is consistently going down and I've lost one and a half inches off my hips and two off my waist since I joined MFP on the July 13. Even more importantly (to me), I feel better and feel like I'll be able to get back to my old weight sometime. Trying not to be in a rush.2
