Whats wrong with LNS? I love my LNS.. I save a portion of my daily macros for it, because denying myself the LNS will just make me psychologically want it more..0

Nothing wrong with LNS as long as it is planned.1 -

There's nothing wrong with LNS as long as it is planned and not going beyond what is needed. My LNS is often unplanned and takes me beyond my necessary nutrients and calories for the day. I rarely vary from my plan during the day. The desire to eat starts at about 9 and I sometimes succumb. It is emotional eating because I am not really hungry.3 -

You set what you feel is late night snacking. For example, if you have extra calories left for the day, you can have a snack if it's small. Others decide not to eat at a past a certain time. It's up to you.
We go by the formula:
Me: "number indicating how many evenings you stuck to it"
LNS: "number of times late night snacks won"
Example: Me: 2 - LNS: 0 indicates I won the first two nights.
Some people also add a * to the latest number. In the example, that would be
Me: 2 - LNS: 1*
if LNS won the 3rd night.
It's as simple as that. Or as complicated, as you will discover. Nevertheless, the persistence and good results of some of our "old" members (and some people keep coming back) show that the battle is worthwhile .
You will notice some people post streaks of how many days they are free of late night snacking. This is definitely not a requirement, but if you want to do it for motivation, it works well.
Welcome!
Personally I set my cut off time as 7.30pm and try to avoid all snacking.
Good luck1 -
I'm just starting a new semester of college this week and I'm gonna try to be as healthy as possible, and this is one of my biggest challenges because my family has always had really late dinners while I was growing up so my body/mind are trained to eat late at night (like after 9-10pm). I'm starting this challenge today (8/22) but I'm gonna keep a running tally through to the end of the month/semester (Dec. 9th), depending on what happens to this thread after August.
