I'd like to lose 2 more pounds this round.
8/11: 171.4 Yesterday was a food day. A "gourmet" doughnut and latte for breakfast and a company picnic (did pretty well; kept it light). Had a good step day: 16,000!
8/12: 171.4 Holding steady. Boy, I really wanted wine last night. And dessert. Lots of it. It seems to be my Friday tradition. By 5pm, though, I had only drank about 16 oz. of water, so had some catching up to do. I stuck with water. On a Friday night. Steps were also low (busy day at work yesterday) so spent the evening walking the dog and did some elliptical.
8/13: 170.5 Active day yesterday cleaning up, running errands and getting to the Y to run on the treadmill again. Have found a replacement for alcohol right now: the little cans of flavored Perrier. Throw in some ice and lime and they are refreshing!
8/14: 170.5 Day off from work today. Kids go back to school tomorrow. Back into the routine!
8/15: 170.5 For those of you that hold on and then a bunch comes off at once? I am with you! I did have a few small glasses of wine last night at a potluck dinner and tried to eat a lot of salad (hard to do at potlucks...) Took a walk with the dog and did the elliptical. Want to keep reaching 10,000 steps this week.
8/16: 169.4 Yes! Getting in the zone now. I say "getting" because the temptations and there and they are real and I literally have to do this one day at a time. I think that's why I am liking this weigh every day thing. Keeps me on my game.
8/17: 169.9 Went over in calories yesterday. Still got some exercise in, but was busy at work and didn't quite get all my water in and didn't hit my step goal. Today is a new day. Lunch is packed and tonight I bump up to 15 minutes of running in my C210K app.
8/18: 169.9 Had a good OP day yesterday, and managed to finish my 15 minute stretch of running the first time! I am stressed today. Lots of work stuff. TGIF.

8/11 - 132.9 I have been struggling a bit with my mindful eating. Hopefully today will be the start of a great round and I can get back to where I was. My plan is to leave NC at the end of the month at 130# at the most!!!
8/12 - 132.6 headed back in the right direction. Lots of exercise today. But couldn't resist the hot dog and tater tots at hot dog world in Hendersonville, NC
8/13 - 132.1 moving along nicely. Got my 5 mile run in this morning. Have a great Sunday everyone!
8/14 - 131.7 nice long walk in the mountains with the dogs and then to the gym for a good workout. Always mindful eating! Progress (round 2 to get below 130#)
8/15 - 131.1 finally back below where I was after Round 11. Staying very motivated!!!
8/16 - 132.5 that was short lived. Boo! I did not have mindful eating yesterday. Going to the gym now. Let's see what today's efforts will bring tomorrow. Must finish this round strong!

8/12 - 73kg (160.9) - out for dinner last night and had pizza calzone so expected that
8/13 - 73.2kg (161.4) - no, all is good, another huge dinner and dessert out. On my 500 cal days now so will expect this number to go back down. Not stressing just yet
8/14 - 72.2kg (159.2) - on my last 500 calorie day for the week so hoping this comes down a lot more tomorrow
8/15 - 70.9kg (156.3) - woohoo! Onto normal calories for the remainder of the week now so hoping this number continues down. Going to try to eat at normal deficit to still account for the big meals out and wine on the weekend
8/16 - 70.7kg (155.9) - surprised after the wine and late night munchies. This will go up no doubt
8/17 - 71.1kg (156.8) - sigh....I can’t see this going down before Sunday morning. Not when the last 2 days are my biggest calorie days of the week
8/18 - 71.4kg (157.4) - I’m ok with this as I ate at maintenance rather than deficit. I’m resolved to the notion that there will be no recorded loss at the end of the 10 days purely because the challenge finishes on a high calorie day for me before my two days of low cals start. That’s ok because I’m still surprised this number isn’t higher as it has been other weeks
8/19 - 71.9kg (158.5) - shocked that the rise wasn’t much larger considering the two meals, including Chinese, out yesterday and last weekend’s substantial rise before my low cal days. I’m excited to weigh again on Wednesday which is usually my lowest weight for the week

It has been so hard for me to get back into groove again after losing most of my weight, getting so close to goal, maintaining for two years and then rapidly putting some on. I do struggle on my low cal (500) days but it suits my lifestyle where I live now and these daily weigh ins really make me think about keeping my calories within reason on my other days so I can enjoy dinner out on a weekend and a bottle of wine without the guilt of doing well all week only to come unstuck at the end.
So far so good, I’ve had a loss overall these 10 days, even if my finish weight is higher than starting weight. I know for me it’s all to do with the days of the week7 -

17/8/2017: 160.4 Normal bounce. Goals ✅ My leg muscle are rather sore, so will concentrate on upper body strength and light cardio.
18/8/2017: 159.2 My lowest in a while. Goals ✅ Off on a week's holiday tomorrow, but will take the scale with me. I'm in charge of catering, but there may be the odd restaurant meal, so next Round will be interesting.

12/8 - 198.8 - strained a muscle, in my shoulder and calf, so I am assuming this is water retention just NO HIGHER
13/8 - 198 - muscles feeling a bit better, calf completely pain free today, shoulder still niggling 25 miles NO water

17/8 - 198.8 - still a little ill but much better, choked down my water yesterday so I don't know if the number on the scale is a reflection of that or if its a reflection of feeling a bit better today, or if indeed drinking the water is why I feel a little better. the mysteries of the body!!! 8/18 - 232 I switched to Centrum silver which has iron compared to wellwoman 50+ which doesn't. Haven't been able to go (lifelong issues there). May have to switch back if this continues because daily I consume 25-35g fibre and roughly 13-15 cups of water so that isn't the issue. 2lbs in 2 days...
8/19 - 230.8 I bought One a Day 50+ which has no iron but basically has all the nutrients as the Centrum which allowed me to go. I know .8 is going to nag at me until I see it gone but looking back at where I began on the 26th June.... I am soooooo happy.

Round 12 (My round 1) was a great round for me garnering a 9 pound loss. Most of that was the loss of weight gained during vacation so I am not expecting those kinds of results for this round.
For this round I will set my goal to 156 pounds.

8/11 62.1 Fair enough. I had a lovely treat day yesterday, full of sugar, spice and all things nice, and salt led the assault. It was worth it!
8/12 63.3kg. Midnight snacking, that is. Ah well. Had a fantastic couch to 5k session yesterday.Onwards and downwards!
8/13 62.9kg Lovely sunny day. Planning to knock all the treats this week on the head from... now.
Worked out how to do my first ever backwards roll yesterday, when I was doing yoga stretches, and felt really athletic. Need to post that in the NSV thread!
8/14 62.5 Hope the rest of it is water, too! Exciting day today- planning to buy some actual running shoes this week, and I might manage to fit it in today.
8/15 62.1kg Had great day yesterday, with no nibbling. Ate back exercise calories, but maintained MFP deficit.
8/16 62kg Exactly on point with calories and nutrition yesterday, and had a great day out with the kids. Went shopping, including to the shop they've been saving their pocket money for, went to opticians to order replacement frames for latest pair of broken glasses, and dropped in at a playground which incorporates outdoor gym equipment for the older kids/adults. I mucked around with a seated device that is rigged so you pull down your bodyweight with your arms, which hoists your seated self in the air. Lots of fun for me there, especially as I happened to be wearing the coolest, shortest-sleeved t-shirt I own, which provides visible evidence I have some muscle tissue there!
8/17 62kg Had a lovely active day yesterday. Only went over my exercise calories by 4 calories, which, as far as I'm concerned, doesn't count.
8/18 62.3kg Felt really lethargic and incredibly hungry most of yesterday, and went over maintenance by about 600 calories, so that's three plus days' deficit cancelled out. However, meh. Got my grip on myself back at midnight and went out for my 5k training session then, and if my dieting day had proceeded "better" and I'd gone out earlier, I wouldn't have been around at the right time to help someone out who needed it.
8/19 61.9kg. Over maintenance again, but I've learned to make tandoori flavoured chickpea and courgette burgers, and the kids ate them, so I'm going to focus on that.

8/11- 277.0 Starting over. Too much stress, worry, anxiety, emotional eating since that dreadful day. Husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer (after having a clear colonoscopy 18 months earlier), would have never known, if he didn't get a bad case of constipation. He wasn't sick and was walking 3 miles a day and had lost 40lbs in 6 months. Then same day, letter of foreclosure auction came and in the afternoon - I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. I asked God, "What Else?" LOL Bad mistake. Last week I received diagnosis of osteoarthritis and torn meniscus (makes getting packing done a little hard). Signed up for Planet Fitness earlier in the week.

8/16 / 211.1 / whoa! That was a big whoosh! I knew I was retaining water so I'm glad to see that go.
8/17 / 210.9 / ran 3.25 miles yesterday at 6:30pm and ate most of my calories after. First weigh was 212.3 but then visited the bathroom and stepped on the scale again. Gotta remember to weigh the same way each time.
8/18 / 211.7 / I ran 2 miles, walked 1.2 last night. Started my monthly cycle as well, so this is n't totally unexpected. I really thought yesterday that I would have gained with how bloated I felt. As long as I hover in the 211s for the rest of the time I consider this round a succes

8/11 - 230.2 - hard day as i was out of the house doing errands this morning and had a salad from subway and snuck in 2 cookies. Then I had to bring my son to emerge and ended up get a cheese bagel with butter and Greek pasta salad. Then for dinner I was so exhausted I made a premade chicken rice teriyaki frozen bag for dinner and a piece or pork chop. I think i drank 1 bottle of water so I anticipate a jump tomorrow due to salt intake. Tomorrow is a new day!
8/12 - 230.6 - I'm relieved it only went up this much! Back on track today. I'm planning on getting in at least an hour walk. Track all my food today. And drink drink drink to flush out any extra salt.
8/13 - 230.4 - not my lowest yet but close. Had such a great day today. Ate well. Tracked everything. Went on a 8.5km walk with a friend and logged 11700 steps! I'm looking forward to what the scale has to say about this tomorrow.
8/14 - 230.6 - I'm not letting myself get frustrated by staying the same because i know i am pushing my self in staying track in eating and exercise (it is also that time of month!). Today I walked to and from the gym - 5km - and did 30min cardio and 20 min arm weights. Feeling so great!
8/15 - 231.0 - still trying not to get discouraged although I did so well yesterday. Perhaps it's because I'm building muscle or TOM. I will work on getting more water in to help with any bloating. I am alsp at the gym again today so happy about going two days in a row. Hopefully all this work will show by the end of the week!
8/16 - 230.8 - I've gone to the gym 3 days in a row! Mood and energy increasing. Although the scale isn't showing it, I will count this as a win for this week!
8/17 - 230.0 - lowest so far. Woohoo. Slow and steady! Heading to the gym again today
8/18 -229.4!!! Woohoo I did it. Finally in the 20s. Hoping I keep going down and don't see the 30a again! 4 days in a row at the gym may have helped. Taking 2 days off to let my body heal a bit then going back on Sunday. Looking forward to the weigh in tomorrow!
8/19 - 228.4! All the hard work has paid off! So so happy! Hopefully I can maintain for tomorrow. I'm hoping to go for a nice long walk, otherwise I am still recovering for the aches from the 4 days at the gym. Looking forward to the next round!4 -
I'm in again. I am so, so very happy to start round 13 too! I did it peeps. As of this morning, I have hit my 20lb mark! I've lost all the weight my doctor told me to lose. However, I know it's still not my ideal weight by any means, so I'm going to keep pushing on.

08/12: 180.8...completely shocked by this #. It's such a big drop all at once, so I'm expecting it will more than likely go up tomorrow. I put in a lot of steps between housework and grocery shopping.
08/13: 180.4 lbs...still shocked over seeing this number, and it is working on creeping down still. I biked 6 miles yesterday. If I get in the 170s at all, this will be the first time since 2004 that I've seen it. After the birth of my first child, 3 years of depo were not good for me. So, I packed on 80 lbs. Idk what I'll do WHEN I see that number again.
8/14: 180.2 lbs...remaining steady now that I had the big WHOOSH. I had a harder time getting 48 oz. of water in yesterday. I didn't "exercise," but I did imo. I rearranged furniture in two rooms, and I swept my car and cleaned out the interior. I have 5 kids that ride in it, so that was a major undertaking.
8/15: 181 lbs...I was expecting a gain to happen, and it did. In a way, I am bummed because I really want to see that #7. In a way, I'm not because I was anticipating it, and it's still close. I stayed within my calories, drank 48 oz of water, and had a 10-hour work day. I did end up having to eat around 7:30 because of that, and I'm not supposed to eat after 6. I think that could have contributed. On to tomorrow...
8/16: 181.2 lbs...Okay, I'm going to be honest here...that sudden weight loss was unexpected, but I am starting to get bummed by the fact that it's still creeping up. I decreased my calories a bit to get the # back down the last few days, and it hasn't worked. I refuse to go any lower than I have. Maybe soon it'll start creeping down again.
I almost reached my goal for steps yesterday too. Water was once again a struggle for me. I need to step it up.
8/17: 181 lbs...Has anyone ever felt like that they've just run out of energy? They are tired of tracking calories and making all these healthy recipes and just want a big, fat, juicy cheeseburger? I am so there right now. However, I keep eating healthy and ensuring that I get up and move. I am proving to myself that my will power is stronger than I ever knew.
8/18: 179.6...a new low for me. I haven't seen a 7 in too many years.
8/19: 179 lbs...went to the doctor, and I have the stomach flu. No wonder I was struggling to drink water and felt so ran down. I was getting sick. Not fun at all. I can't keep anything down, so they had me on a liquid diet and told me to start back up eating with the BRAT diet. So, this number may jump up next round.

8/17 139.9 Wow! No exercise yesterday (Work +Back to School Night for daughter + Band event for son = no time) ate 100 over calories. It may be time to adjust the weight loss rate from 1.5 pounds a week to 1 pound a week. I actually had a free wellness check through my employer yesterday and found out my body fat is only 24.8% now, which is on the lower end of normal for my age group according to Kaiser. Also glucose level and cholesterol in the normal range! That is why I started this in the first place in July of 2016 when my doctor wanted to put me on cholesterol medication and said I was prediabetic. I am so happy with this! I will see the results of my fasting bloodwork (yesterday was nonfasting) next week at my regular annual appointment. I am so glad this has paid off in such a big way. My BMI was 31, obese, a little over a year ago, and now it is 22.6 (according to Kaiser testing) and 23 according to charts when I look it up on line, right in the middle of the healthy range. The dietary changes I have made in the last year have been so worth it!

8/11 - Out of town with no scale and out of my exercise and food routine. Went over calories yesterday and very little movement due to seminar. One more day of this then back to my element so hopeful I can still meet goal for this round.
8/12 - 164.2 - *sigh* trying not to be too hard on myself for a less than a lb gain...no scale or exercise the last couple of days and more hungry than usual for some reason, although I did make good choices. Weekends are tough too food wise, so making a conscious commitment to lots of exercise and water and staying under calories these next two days.
8/13 - 163.8 - getting closer to where I started the round with a long workout, extra water and staying a tad bit under calories.
8/14 - 163.6 - everything on point yesterday. No time for exercise today so need to be extra conscious of eating.
8/15 - 163.6 - holding steady
8/16 - 163.2 - Hanging out around 163/164. Have time for an extra long workout today so maybe I'll break into 162.something soon.

8/19 - 163 - For a split second the scale said 162.8 then went to 163. I got on and off 3 more times but it stuck on 163. Not complaining though as I was over calories slightly yesterday but did well with girlfriends over for movies, pizza, and cheesecake. I had a salad with chicken and just a couple of bites of their goodies. Not likely to make goal for this round, but it's on today to get into the 162 something.

8/12 143.8 Love it. I'm in the 3's again. Too tired to exercise yesterday. Played with grandson most of day. Probably go to gym today. I'll need to get some exercise in as going to a friend's for dinner and that means a couple glasses of wine. Thank goodness she is also losing weight and eating healthy/clean/low cal, etc. I want to see some steady weight loss this round. I'm due, I tell ya! Happy Saturday!

8/15 143 Yes! 30 min ellip yesterday as well as a great session at gym. Lowered bar on Smith machine to keep moving forward fitness wise. Ate too many carbs at dinner though. Tortillas and refried beans. Looking for an hour on elip and a drop tomorrow. Almost no sleep though so we'll see. Feel good and love that my capris from last summer literally fall off me. n Persist!
8/16 143.6 Understandable. No sleep night before last and watched toddler all day so ate more than usual for energy - which I think is a fallacy anyway. Some lemon water and exercise and I should be back down. I need to buckle down to reach 142.4 this round.

I've also started some running training intervals, so that may be causing me to retain a little water as its more intense than my usual walking. Hoping water and having a better week calorie-wise (I was over two days last week) will get me back where I want to be.
8/15 - 231.2 - under what my official weigh-in was last week! With careful eating and a little luck I might make it to my goal for this round.
8/16 - 231.8 - hovering up and down in this small range - hoping for a woosh soon

8/11 - 151.8 - SUPER WHOOSH...all the weight and then a bit extra is off from my vacation de-railment. I was up almost every hour to pee last night lol...so I was obviously releasing everything my cells were retaining. I'm within 2 lbs of my original goal weight. I'm going to add a snack to my meal planning this week to slow things down a bit. Picked up my kettlebells for the first time in over a week this morning so I expect to be sore tomorrow.
8/12 - 151.4 - right direction! Cleared out all the size 12's and Larges from my closet...AND...bought two pairs of size 8 capri pants from the summer clearance rack yesterday!!!! BIG NSV!!
8/13 - 152.2 - just a blip. Ate around maintenance cals yesterday...mabe a smidge more...but not enough to gain a lb of fat. Probably bloat from the beers my bod isn't used to having. A long bike ride is in the plans for today...going to burn it off.
8/14 - 154 - Sodium and sore muscles. More water, mindful eating and light activity today...and a trip to the chiropractor...
8/15 - 154.2- Hrmm...fingers feel puffy for some reason this morning. I banked some of yesterday's calories for today since we're heading to Toronto for the ROM and the Jays game...I know my food choices won't be the best (gotta enjoy the full ball park experience). We will be walking LOTS and I'm heading downstairs to work out before we leave...
8/16 - 153.6 - The 18000 steps walking around TO yesterday seems to have counter-acted the beer and Roger's Centre popcorn at the ball game...
8/17 - 153.8 - yesterday was a hungry sleepy day...kept my calories where they needed to be but I wasn't too active.

8/19 - 155.1 - on my moms scale...could be that or the wings and poutine I shared with my boys with the big salad for dinner last night.
