17/8 - 198.8 - still a little ill but much better, choked down my water yesterday so I don't know if the number on the scale is a reflection of that or if its a reflection of feeling a bit better today, or if indeed drinking the water is why I feel a little better. the mysteries of the body!!! 18/8 - 198.4 - Actually I'm happy with this as I am down from the last round now, and I know that round was a really big drop, although I wouldn't say no to another 1lb in the right direction 25 mile on the bike DRANK 2L WATER

Back for more accountability, support and sharing. Finished round12 at 144.4. Would love to get at 142.4 or below for this round. Total loss since March at end of round 12 = 18.5 #.

8/11 144 READY, SET, GO! Nice drop. Went to gym yesterday. Good workout. Didn't get much sleep last night and got woken by 2.5 yr old grandson. Wish I had his energy first thing in morning. Ellip today and perhaps some stretching. Happy Friday!
8/12 143.8 Love it. I'm in the 3's again. Too tired to exercise yesterday. Played with grandson most of day. Probably go to gym today. I'll need to get some exercise in as going to a friend's for dinner and that means a couple glasses of wine. Thank goodness she is also losing weight and eating healthy/clean/low cal, etc. I want to see some steady weight loss this round. I'm due, I tell ya! Happy Saturday!
8/13 143 I don't think this is a whoosh but food poisoning last night and the attendant vacating of the stomach. What a way to stay under calories. Blahhhhh.
8/14 143 Happy to see it stay the same. Ate well yesterday, stuck to protein and veggies and champagne grapes. Yum. no exercise. Just recovering from being ill. Ellip today and hopefully gym. It's Monday, start of a new week. Go for it!
8/15 143 Yes! 30 min ellip yesterday as well as a great session at gym. Lowered bar on Smith machine to keep moving forward fitness wise. Ate too many carbs at dinner though. Tortillas and refried beans. Looking for an hour on elip and a drop tomorrow. Almost no sleep though so we'll see. Feel good and love that my capris from last summer literally fall off me. n Persist!
8/16 143.6 Understandable. No sleep night before last and watched toddler all day so ate more than usual for energy - which I think is a fallacy anyway. Some lemon water and exercise and I should be back down. I need to buckle down to reach 142.4 this round.

8/19 143.6 Can't explain this sudden drop (anymore than I can the upswings) but I'll accept. Rained yesterday so did 50 on ellip instead of amusement park and walked around farmer's market. Finishing this round where I started. I'm due for a whoosh. It's Saturday. Fix yourself something healthy and slimming. I'm going to do some eggplant parm that you don't fry but do all in oven. Sounds wonderful. Enjoy your day.

Round 12 (My round 1) was a great round for me garnering a 9 pound loss. Most of that was the loss of weight gained during vacation so I am not expecting those kinds of results for this round.
For this round I will set my goal to 156 pounds.

8/11 - Out of town with no scale and out of my exercise and food routine. Went over calories yesterday and very little movement due to seminar. One more day of this then back to my element so hopeful I can still meet goal for this round.
8/12 - 164.2 - *sigh* trying not to be too hard on myself for a less than a lb gain...no scale or exercise the last couple of days and more hungry than usual for some reason, although I did make good choices. Weekends are tough too food wise, so making a conscious commitment to lots of exercise and water and staying under calories these next two days.
8/13 - 163.8 - getting closer to where I started the round with a long workout, extra water and staying a tad bit under calories.
8/14 - 163.6 - everything on point yesterday. No time for exercise today so need to be extra conscious of eating.
8/15 - 163.6 - holding steady
8/16 - 163.2 - Hanging out around 163/164. Have time for an extra long workout today so maybe I'll break into 162.something soon.

8/19 - 163 - For a split second the scale said 162.8 then went to 163. I got on and off 3 more times but it stuck on 163. Not complaining though as I was over calories slightly yesterday but did well with girlfriends over for movies, pizza, and cheesecake. I had a salad with chicken and just a couple of bites of their goodies. Not likely to make goal for this round, but it's on today to get into the 162 something.

8/17 139.9 Wow! No exercise yesterday (Work +Back to School Night for daughter + Band event for son = no time) ate 100 over calories. It may be time to adjust the weight loss rate from 1.5 pounds a week to 1 pound a week. I actually had a free wellness check through my employer yesterday and found out my body fat is only 24.8% now, which is on the lower end of normal for my age group according to Kaiser. Also glucose level and cholesterol in the normal range! That is why I started this in the first place in July of 2016 when my doctor wanted to put me on cholesterol medication and said I was prediabetic. I am so happy with this! I will see the results of my fasting bloodwork (yesterday was nonfasting) next week at my regular annual appointment. I am so glad this has paid off in such a big way. My BMI was 31, obese, a little over a year ago, and now it is 22.6 (according to Kaiser testing) and 23 according to charts when I look it up on line, right in the middle of the healthy range. The dietary changes I have made in the last year have been so worth it!

8/19 139.9 Changed settings from 1.5 pounds a week to 1 pound a week. Ate under calories and 30 min. elliptical.
8/20 140.4 Being 130something was nice for a while, lol. 30 minutes elliptical. Ate under calories. Changed calorie goal before exercise from 1200 to 1300 earlier this week. I wonder if I should change it back. My elliptical says I am burning 520 calories in 30 minutes, but I only count 350 and don't eat all of those back. It has a 300 cal, 400 cal and 500 cal 30 min work out setting. I always choose the 500 one. I know .5 pound is not a big deal, but I want to be well in the 130s to try to start maintenance.
I was so (negatively) focused on the move back into the 140s, I did not even notice it was the end of the round or acknowledge how successful this round was. Down 3.2 pounds this round (from day 1 to day 10) or down 2.1 pounds (from the end of Round 12 to the end of Round 13)! Either way this round was a success!11 -

I had a big loss last round so not expecting much of a loss for this round, but we will see. My goals for this round are to make sure I stay hydrated and, since there are two weekends in this round, to work on being more mindful of my eating on the weekends.

8/12--227.0 Still holding, but my trend weight is going downwards. Need to make sure I keep up with my water today.
8/13--228.1 Went out to eat yesterday, so the increase is probably due to the additional salt. I'm very happy that I still stayed within my calories and I drank more water than what I usually drink on the weekend. I'll continue to keep up with the water today.
8/14--228.1 Holding steady. Still feeing a little bloated today. The weekend was a success as I kept up my hydration levels and I ate more sensibly than normal, so I'll just wait for the scale to follow.

8/18--228.3 Ugh, I'm not surprised about that number since I'm feeling heavy and bloated right now. Not sure what it is. Hopefully drinking my lemon water will help. Well, I will just keep with my water, eating, and exercise and just wait for my body, and the scale, to catch up.
8/19--227.2 I am shocked that I had this big drop since I still feel bloated and heavy and I weightlifted yesterday, but I will take it.
8/20--226.6 I am not surprised about the loss. I woke up this morning with the heavy feeling gone, I am assuming the 2 BMs I had yesterday made the difference. This round again just reinforces the fact that regardless of how perfect you may be with your eating/exercising/water intake it doesn't mean that the weight will come off in a perfectly linear way. There are so many other things going on internally with our bodies that none of us can control that cause no loss to show on the scale, but if you just stay the course, eventually the body, and as a result the scale, will show a loss.9 -

This round has been bad for me. I haven't stayed within calories and I used my moms poor health as an excuse. Today I am going out to eat for the first time in a month. My sister is coming over to stay with my mom so my husband and I can go out for the afternoon. I'm going to enjoy that meal and then buckle down. No excuses. Someone remind me I said that if I start again with them in round 14!!! I'm less than 10 pounds from my goal. I've lost over 45 pounds. 8/14 262.0 -- Made the mistake of getting on the scale in my nightie. Now it won't recognize that I weigh less in the buff. Damned scale decides that it's going to tell me I weigh that day and once it decides on a number, it won't change it. Obstinate little thing! Oh, well, I know I ate right and the number is not what's important -- at least that's what I'm telling myself. Harrumph!
8/15 261.4 -- The scale went down but I fell into an old pattern last night that had me eating several hundred calories "post diary." Staying up late to binge-watch costume dramas goes with snacking. I need to watch such girly stuff during the day when I'm more in control of my eating. (Early evening is more "gender neutral" in our living room. LOL)
8/16 261.0 -- Discovered what had made it so hard to stay within calories for the last couple days. I had been playing with the macros and something I did had dropped my daily limit by about 150 calories! No wonder I had that attack of the night munchies. Anyway, all recovered. I actually ate low yesterday because I skipped (slept through?) breakfast and wasn't hungry for it due to the previous night. Back to normal today!

8/19 263.2 -- Up two pounds overnight. Chinese take-out strikes again! Lots of sodium!! And once I got started, I kept at it with some “post-diary” snacking. Ugh. Back to healthy normal today!!

8/11 - 151.8 - SUPER WHOOSH...all the weight and then a bit extra is off from my vacation de-railment. I was up almost every hour to pee last night lol...so I was obviously releasing everything my cells were retaining. I'm within 2 lbs of my original goal weight. I'm going to add a snack to my meal planning this week to slow things down a bit. Picked up my kettlebells for the first time in over a week this morning so I expect to be sore tomorrow.
8/12 - 151.4 - right direction! Cleared out all the size 12's and Larges from my closet...AND...bought two pairs of size 8 capri pants from the summer clearance rack yesterday!!!! BIG NSV!!
8/13 - 152.2 - just a blip. Ate around maintenance cals yesterday...mabe a smidge more...but not enough to gain a lb of fat. Probably bloat from the beers my bod isn't used to having. A long bike ride is in the plans for today...going to burn it off.
8/14 - 154 - Sodium and sore muscles. More water, mindful eating and light activity today...and a trip to the chiropractor...
8/15 - 154.2- Hrmm...fingers feel puffy for some reason this morning. I banked some of yesterday's calories for today since we're heading to Toronto for the ROM and the Jays game...I know my food choices won't be the best (gotta enjoy the full ball park experience). We will be walking LOTS and I'm heading downstairs to work out before we leave...
8/16 - 153.6 - The 18000 steps walking around TO yesterday seems to have counter-acted the beer and Roger's Centre popcorn at the ball game...
8/17 - 153.8 - yesterday was a hungry sleepy day...kept my calories where they needed to be but I wasn't too active.
8/18 - 153.6 - hovering in the same area...
8/19 - 155.1 - on my moms scale...could be that or the wings and poutine I shared with my boys with the big salad for dinner last night.
8/20 - 152.2 - on my mom's scale...bit of a whoosh...relatively happy with this round, considering the number of day trips I took with the boys and eating out that happened as a result.
On to the next round...I've got 5 days until we leave on a 5 day road trip where I won't have access to a scale.

8/14- 161.4 Not sure why I'm up. Wouldn't have changed anything I did yesterday so I'll have to take it.
8/15- 161.0 This should not be so. Anniversary dinner and movie popcorn not conducive to weight loss. Not sure what my body is up to.
8/16- 161.4 No big surprise here. My sugar intake is out of control... again. I am no longer hiding from it, though, as I have been the last few months. Getting on the scale is a reminder of what it is doing to my body.
8/17- 160.4 Good day yesterday. Feel like it's going to continue on today

8/12: 159.2 - I ate like crap yesterday. Was within my calories, but next week wanna focus on eating better.

8/14: 157.8 - yesterday ended up being a 'eat at maintenance' day. had a family gathering so all guesstimates.
8/15: 158.6 - over my sodium yesterday (coworker bought me lunch) and the day before. I'm curious to see how long it'll take for the water weight to come off.
8/16: 158.2 - right direction. Goal is to get back down to 157.4
8/17: 157.0 - would love to stay around this number for the rest of the challenge.

I'd like to lose 2 more pounds this round.
8/11: 171.4 Yesterday was a food day. A "gourmet" doughnut and latte for breakfast and a company picnic (did pretty well; kept it light). Had a good step day: 16,000!
8/12: 171.4 Holding steady. Boy, I really wanted wine last night. And dessert. Lots of it. It seems to be my Friday tradition. By 5pm, though, I had only drank about 16 oz. of water, so had some catching up to do. I stuck with water. On a Friday night. Steps were also low (busy day at work yesterday) so spent the evening walking the dog and did some elliptical.
8/13: 170.5 Active day yesterday cleaning up, running errands and getting to the Y to run on the treadmill again. Have found a replacement for alcohol right now: the little cans of flavored Perrier. Throw in some ice and lime and they are refreshing!
8/14: 170.5 Day off from work today. Kids go back to school tomorrow. Back into the routine!
8/15: 170.5 For those of you that hold on and then a bunch comes off at once? I am with you! I did have a few small glasses of wine last night at a potluck dinner and tried to eat a lot of salad (hard to do at potlucks...) Took a walk with the dog and did the elliptical. Want to keep reaching 10,000 steps this week.
8/16: 169.4 Yes! Getting in the zone now. I say "getting" because the temptations and there and they are real and I literally have to do this one day at a time. I think that's why I am liking this weigh every day thing. Keeps me on my game.
8/17: 169.9 Went over in calories yesterday. Still got some exercise in, but was busy at work and didn't quite get all my water in and didn't hit my step goal. Today is a new day. Lunch is packed and tonight I bump up to 15 minutes of running in my C210K app.
8/18: 169.9 Had a good OP day yesterday, and managed to finish my 15 minute stretch of running the first time! I am stressed today. Lots of work stuff. TGIF.
8/19: 169 The evening workouts are helping me with my night eating this week. Only problem is I can't quite get to sleep at a decent time because I am wired from the workout. Very tired this morning. Getting ready for a business trip today, so lots to do.
8/20 168.6 Super happy with my results! -2.8. The focus and accountability that this challenge is giving me is just what I need right now. I'll be traveling for a business trip this week; leaving today and not getting back until Saturday. I won't have a scale and am working onsite at an event, so will be distracted. I'll join up for the next round. In the meantime: steps, water, and tracking on MFP!7 -

I'm in again. I am so, so very happy to start round 13 too! I did it peeps. As of this morning, I have hit my 20lb mark! I've lost all the weight my doctor told me to lose. However, I know it's still not my ideal weight by any means, so I'm going to keep pushing on.

08/11: 182...Woo hoo!!!! I'm doing a happy dance!
08/12: 180.8...completely shocked by this #. It's such a big drop all at once, so I'm expecting it will more than likely go up tomorrow. I put in a lot of steps between housework and grocery shopping.
08/13: 180.4 lbs...still shocked over seeing this number, and it is working on creeping down still. I biked 6 miles yesterday. If I get in the 170s at all, this will be the first time since 2004 that I've seen it. After the birth of my first child, 3 years of depo were not good for me. So, I packed on 80 lbs. Idk what I'll do WHEN I see that number again.
8/14: 180.2 lbs...remaining steady now that I had the big WHOOSH. I had a harder time getting 48 oz. of water in yesterday. I didn't "exercise," but I did imo. I rearranged furniture in two rooms, and I swept my car and cleaned out the interior. I have 5 kids that ride in it, so that was a major undertaking.
8/15: 181 lbs...I was expecting a gain to happen, and it did. In a way, I am bummed because I really want to see that #7. In a way, I'm not because I was anticipating it, and it's still close. I stayed within my calories, drank 48 oz of water, and had a 10-hour work day. I did end up having to eat around 7:30 because of that, and I'm not supposed to eat after 6. I think that could have contributed. On to tomorrow...
8/16: 181.2 lbs...Okay, I'm going to be honest here...that sudden weight loss was unexpected, but I am starting to get bummed by the fact that it's still creeping up. I decreased my calories a bit to get the # back down the last few days, and it hasn't worked. I refuse to go any lower than I have. Maybe soon it'll start creeping down again.
I almost reached my goal for steps yesterday too. Water was once again a struggle for me. I need to step it up.
8/17: 181 lbs...Has anyone ever felt like that they've just run out of energy? They are tired of tracking calories and making all these healthy recipes and just want a big, fat, juicy cheeseburger? I am so there right now. However, I keep eating healthy and ensuring that I get up and move. I am proving to myself that my will power is stronger than I ever knew.
8/18: 179.6...a new low for me. I haven't seen a 7 in too many years.
8/19: 179 lbs...went to the doctor, and I have the stomach flu. No wonder I was struggling to drink water and felt so ran down. I was getting sick. Not fun at all. I can't keep anything down, so they had me on a liquid diet and told me to start back up eating with the BRAT diet. So, this number may jump up next round.
8/20: 178.6...I managed to put in a 1000 calories yesterday and actually keep it down. It was hard to eat, but I forced myself. I've managed to stay hydrated but just barely. It's been a difficult several days with this stomach flu. Off to the next round, and hopefully it's a healthier feeling one.

Good start, although the last time I got to this weight it was also a Friday and I screwed it up with the weekend. We will see what I can do. Yesterday I went over my calorie count but I was able to get up and do some walking which was a good start post cryosurgery (it was almost the entire bottom of both of my feet lol, so I'm surprised it hasn't gotten infected and that I'm able to do this much walking).
8/12: 130.6
No late night snacking yesterday, so I'm sure that helped. I've been making smarter choices and eating less. I don't have as many snacks laying around the house other than fruit and nuts. Great start to the weekend. Hopefully I can continue the downward trend. This was my second goal weight, but I decided to lower it another 5 lbs. I am just so amazed at what I have accomplished. I never thought I would get below 145.

Ate more than planned yesterday. Usually happens with my niece in the house. We cook together and what not. Plus I didn't drink very much water.
