I am happy and sad about August, and even just the past week. I had a good start, and good focus, but I did not hit my goal weight, which was 185. It was probably too lofty of a goal anyway, but I was aiming for it. And last night, I went out to dinner, which has led to a food hangover this morning. My body just feels off track and battered.
I was thinking this morning that I needed motivation and a new goal, and then I found this page. Thank you for starting it! And thanks to all for sharing their September progress!7 -

Happy Sunday, everyone!
Started today with a new daily low, which also happens to be a 4-year low. I'm pretty stoked about that. My daily weight today was 211.9. I don't fully expect to stay in the 211 numbers, typically I dip, pop back up a bit, stay there for a while and then dip again. Still, it's nice when I do see that dip, and it's no biggie because I know what my pattern is, and I don't get too wound up about the inevitable pop back up. My biggest frustration happens when I get stuck, because that usually lasts a few weeks. My last plateau came during vacation which also earned a gain (which I expected) so it took about 2 full months to get the numbers properly moving in the right direction again.
I'm surprised to be down today, yesterday we did some pretty intense yard work, clearing brush... I feel like I did 10 rounds with Mayweather...but it's a kind of satisfying pain. Still more yard work to do today, and I'll probably be going to lend a hand with packing up some hurricane relief supplies later this evening.
Highest weight ever: 254 in October 1999.
Lowest since 1999: 195.
