Absolutely, I'm not going to sit here and say that they will run through the conference, it won't happen. Can they win every game? Of course but thankfully PSU is at home and the only true road test this year is up north.

Honestly I'm worried about this weekend. I'll be a much happier guy after a win Saturday night.

It must be nice playing in a cupcake conference against no real teams most of the season every year. It's a good way to keep your players fresh, I guess.

lol wait what? this ought to be interesting...

Classic Ohio State fan denial. This is one of the reasons I always root for any team that plays against Ohio State.

denial? I'm just waiting to hear your response on what conference you are a fan of and your reasoning behind this.

As far as rooting against us, I'm sure myself and the entire tOSU fan base could care less. We're still going to be in discussion for the playoffs and the title game regardless. God help you if you're a Bama fan too.

I love watching Ohio State fans get disappointed when they lose a real game against an actual opponent. I have no idea why they think they are so good?

I'm a SEC fan, followed by ACC for football. I'm right in the middle and have ties to both.

I'm not so much of a 'bama fan as much as a "I love it when the SEC wins national championships" fan. But, why is 'bama so bad? I mean besides the fact they are an actual team playing in the toughest conference in college football. A conference known for constantly chewing up its teams making it very hard to go a season without a lose.
Also any SEC team has to actually earn most of their wins because they don't play a bunch of cupcake teams that pad their record.

The hatred for Ohio State is something else I'll give SEC fans that, I've never seen such hatred for a team they barely ever see. The last time an SEC team saw them it didn't end well for them. I'm not saying that the SEC isn't KING football but there are some serious delusions coming from some of your fans. They (generalizing) seem to love to ride Alabama's coat tails when they really haven't produced much outside of the Tide in recent years. I root for the B1G always but you'll never see me say ohhh the B1G won the Championship if *ichigan or PSU or another team takes it down. Is it because most "SEC" fans know deep down that if Alabama doesn't take the ship then the "SEC" won't win squat? I think there is a lot more parity among conferences than you seem to think.

The "hatred" for Ohio State comes from the fact that they think they are so great when they have such a cupcake schedule every year. It makes no sense to have such an inflated ego over a team that never plays anyone good most of the season.

Most of the SEC is good, but they are on a downward swing right now. But don't discount LSU, Auburn, or Florida to name a few.

I think you are generalizing Ohio State fans like I just did to the SEC, it just proves my point. You trash the B1G but they both have power divisions and a weaker division.

    https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/sec-football/best-divisions-cfb-secwest-b1geast-2017/

Lets look at premier games over the few years head to head

    Michigan throttled Florida this year
    Wisconsin beat LSU in 2016
    Alabama destroyed Wisconsin in 2015
Ohio State beat Alabama for the title (2014/2015)
Indiana beat Missouri (2014) *iffy premier game, I'd actually lean against counting this one*
    LSU Beat Wisconsin (2014)

I didn't include many bowl games because I don't believe they really mean squat if they aren't a true "New Years Day" game. The Outback Bowl and the Gator Bowl are irrelevant in my eyes.

What will you say if Ohio State beats Oklahoma again tomorrow? still cupcakes?? 2 years in a row?

Then both OSU and Alabama have wins over top 5 opponents.... if OSU loses then so be it, KING SEC it is but I think you're exaggerating a bit.

Like I said, the SEC is in a down swing but if you want to pick and choose stats, here's some for the last 10 years:

    National Championships:
    2016 Clemson
    2015 Alabama
    2014 Ohio State
    2013 Florida State
    2012 Alabama
    2011 Alabama
    2010 Auburn
    2009 Alabama

    2008 Florida
    2007 LSU

    2006 Florida
    2005 Texas
    2004 Southern California
    2003 LSU
    2002 Ohio State
    2001 Miami (Fla.)
    2000 Oklahoma
    1999 Florida State
    1998 Tennessee
    1997 Michigan, Nebraska
    1996 Florida

Not to mention every time Ohio State plays an SEC team for the National Championship they get crushed:
    2007 January 7, 2008 LSU 38 - Ohio State 24 BCS National Championship
    2006 January 8, 2007 Florida 41 - Ohio State 14 BCS National Championship

Again I've never said the SEC wasn't the dominant conference over the past decade. You're getting awfully defensive about this lol. I also never said that Ohio State was the best team in football, they dominate the SEC or that they are infallible.

You still didn't answer me on what happens if Ohio State beats Oklahoma this weekend for the second year in a row?

Ohio State's schedule is definitely still a cupcake schedule this year, even if they win against all 3 ranked teams (depending on how the ranking goes this year) they have to play..... 3.....

Yes they have talent but they cheat themselves out of testing that talent which costs them in championships from lack of experience. The flip side is the SEC chews itself up and cheats itself out of wins also.

Alabama has 4.... the only difference is that as of right now All 3 of those teams OSU plays are inside the top 10.

bama had FSU.... Now that will probably change as the year goes on but don't act like there is a HUGE difference

The huge difference is any SEC team can beat any SEC team at any point in the season. The Big 10, you have, maybe a few good teams, and the rest are crap. With the SEC, you still have decent to good players, even on the weaker teams. For the Big 10, you don't have to worry about most teams and can coast if you have a good team.

Didn't Wisconsin's Athletic Director coach them to a win in a bowl game against the SEC (Auburn?) two years ago?

The SEC is nothing like they used to be and it comes in cycles. I saw it coming when FSU ended their streak of NCs. With that said, I do think they are a little stronger than the Big 10. College football is at a point now where everyone is on a level playing field. Anyone from any conference could bring home the NC.

Memo to urban meyer: your quarterback isn't a quarterback, your defensive blows and if your offense improved dramatically.... it might reach a level of low suck.

When the osu defensive backs finally flunk out of college, they will be qualified to work as male escorts. They have plenty of experience escorting wide receivers and tight ends to the end zone.

And by the way, urban..... Michigan is going to kick your *kitten*.

This has to be the most overrated football team of recent memory.

Ohio State has a ton of talent. .... a simply ridiculous amount.

I don't think their offensive and defensive coordinators could find their respective *kitten* if they used both hands and were given a roadmap..

I picked OSU but with very low confidence.
Their fans will forget all about that upset if they beat Army today.

It must be so hard coming off a lose like that form OU with such a hard schedule. Luckily they beat Army (By the 2nd half). We'll see if they are up to the task of beating UNLV followed by Rutgers.

It's almost like they spread out the 3 tough games they have this year so they don't have to play back-to-back tough teams.

No I'm still here, haven't been on the forums as much. You could at least tag me if you want to talk *kitten* about me though ;)

To be honest @Motorsheen hit the nail on the head. I've always been a fan of JT Barrett because he's a classy kid and a leader amongst boys. The problem is he's not as good as his surrounding team has made him in the past years and it showed last year and even more so this year.

I'm not worried though. Win out and we'll be in the talks. (not that I'm confident of that after the showing the put forth against Oklahoma)

I'll always be a buckeye fan and I'll never apologize for it. The funny thing is that you seem to think I've been talking some pretty heavy *kitten* about this amazing buckeye team we have... which isn't the case at all.

I'm pretty sure no one thinks you're talking "pretty heavy *kitten* about this amazing buckeye team". I, however, am talking pretty heavy *kitten* about this amazing[ly bad] buckeye team.

My college team is UGA. I think it's only fair to let you know which team I root for, but I am a SEC fan followed by ACC for football. Although why the ACC is good at football all of a sudden is really weird and something I'm not use to.
