My mantainance is 1700 and im on a 1200 cal cut .
I currently went over my weekly calories by 500 ish calories . So instead of being under 3500 calories this week , i am 3,000 so how does this work ? Did i still lose fat ?

3000/3500 = .86 So instead of 1 pound a week you would lose .14 pounds less or .86 pounds per week. This is why people who are close to goal lose slowly. 1200 is as low as you should go, but your maintenance calories go lower.1 -
Why should my mantainance go lower @teabea
As you become a smaller person you will use fewer calories. If you are close to goal already, it won't be a big difference.
