3000/3500 = .86 So instead of 1 pound a week you would lose .14 pounds less or .86 pounds per week. This is why people who are close to goal lose slowly. 1200 is as low as you should go, but your maintenance calories go lower.

As you become a smaller person you will use fewer calories. If you are close to goal already, it won't be a big difference.
