TY . yes rest and a hot bath seems to be the answer. but I had to ask the questionnikki062181 wrote: »
Do you think maybe you did something to your sciatic nerve? I have a lot of pain in my back and legs with that? You just take it easy and give your body time to heal, and if needed, go to the doctor.
My hubby has been saying this to me for an age, I have always had mild pains that seem to move about, heat seems to help but if it doesn't clear up with the rest and heat treatments over the next few days I will have to take a trip to the doctor. although I'm not really sure what he can do for me :-/
Are you able to take naproxen?

I'm back!! Starting a day late on this round, we returned from our road trip last night. Much food I normally don't eat was consumed (think Poutine, Smoked meat, crepes...LOTs of wine LOL) so I know most of the reason I'm way up is that. I kept my breakfasts and lunches lighter so I could splurge at dinner....
So here goes 9 days of trying to get rid of the water bloat so I can see what the real damage was.
SW in March - 182.4
GW- 150 - I think I will re-evaluate when I get there...I'm not sure I'll be done...

9/01 - 157.4 - Results of our trip to Ottawa and Montreal. Also TOM started yesterday so this is a double Whammy. Going on a trail run this morning and will drink lots of water and get back to my regular meal routine.
9/02 - 156.8 - starting to shed some bloat. I already feel better being back to my routine for just one day.

8/31 - 194.4 I ate very late last night and the night before the 192.7 weight I had eaten almost no dinner. Timing of meals impacts the morning weigh in, but not enough to make me go hungry. I had a nice chuck roast that came out of the rotisserie right as I walked in the door at 9:15. Medium rare, just a little crispy on the edges, fresh sliced tomatoes and a little mashed potatoes on the side. Yum. And still in calorie limit for the day.
9/01 - 193.6 Busy day yesterday. Did not get to exercise. Worked until 11:00. (Usually I am a nine to fiver-er.) This may be the food description round for me, because today I want to wax eloquent about Popeye's Fried Chicken, which I have found I can eat in moderation. I split a breast between lunch and dinner, and I still have a chicken wing for my lunch today. Surprised the sodium in the side and biscuit did not send me up, but I was very diligent on a high water intake. Actually I do not have to write about fried chicken because someone already has: Ode to Fried Chicken
9/02 - 193.6 I am surprised by this. I expected to be up a little. I'm not complaining mind you. Quite a disappointing day yesterday as there was nothing magnificent to eat. Leftovers and snacking. Not very good fodder for a food description themed round.
9/03 - 193.6 Worked all day yesterday. I'm in the office now. I thought this was supposed to be a three day weekend for us in the USA. I did have a yummy Greek salad yesterday and healthy snacks of tasty little cherry tomatoes and watermelon chunks. When I went home I roasted up some chicken thighs with cumin, cayenne and cilantro, sides of corn and broccoli. Food is good. If today goes as planned I will have something for you tomorrow.

8/31: 314.0 : Woo Hoo Great start to round 15!
9/01: 313.8: YES!! I am getting somewhere. My lowest so far.
9/02: 312.8 : YAY!! Didn't think I would get here.
9/03: 312.8 : Stayed the same, which is ok.9 -
Ok. This is it. 10 day weight loss challenge. I was 193.8lbs on August 30. Hopefully, I'll be at 191.5 lbs by the end of this challenge.
8/31 - 192.7.-- great! I was kinda expecting to gain weight because I overate dinner, of all meals! Good rhing I still lost a pound. Will surely exercise more control today.
9/01 - 193.6 -- uh-oh! This is what I've been afraid of! The other night was a little bit over my allowance, bit last night was really a problem. And today I'll be going out for another gathering! Hope I can still manage.
9/02 - 193-- the struggle is real! I'm glad I didn't gain weight but not minding just 2 of my meals is really scary. Still halfway of my 191.5 target.
9/03 - 194.5 -- I woke up feeling heavy so I was expecting this. But it's still disappointing. I'm disappointed with myself. Just 3 days ago, I was 192.7, and now, 4th day on my challenge, I'm already 2lbs heavier. I hope this is just water weight. But on the good side, the long holiday weekend is over so I can finally go back to my usual diet.
You didn't gain a pound and a half overnight. It's water. Don't be so hard on yourself!4 -
9/02 - 191.8 Went over on calories but still under maintenance, pretty sure that bottle of wine isn't included in a liquid diet. Crawled out of bed at 11:30 pm and staggered around the block in my pajamas because I was at 8900 steps, and I didn't want to break my 10000 step streak. Not sure if my loss is dehydration or that my fluids have finally levelled out.
9/03 - 194 I have no words
I think today answers the previous question. You were a bit dehydrated but now you are sopping wet!! ;-)

Last round’s “mid-weight” was a bit up because of a logging hiatus for 4 days but it ended at a new low so hoping for more normalcy this round and ending it nicely down in the 250s. Goal for this round is no drama! CICO!!
Round 8/1: HW 274.4 LW 269.8 MidW = 271.9
Round 9/2: HW 269.4 LW 266.8 MidW=268.1
Round 10/3: HW 269 LW 266.4 MidW = 267.7
Round 11/4: HW 267.4 LW 264.2 MidW = 265.8
Round 12/5: HW 264.8 LW 261.2 MidW = 263.0
Round 13/6: HW 263.8 LW 260.6 MidW = 262.2
Round 14/7: HW 266.4 LW 259.2 MidW = 262.8
8/31 359.4 -- How nice to start out a challenge in the 250s. The top of the 250s but I’ll take it!
9/01 261.2 -- Not unexpected. Ate a commercial pizza sodium bomb and snacked away any deficit. Back to normal today and aiming toward a low sodium day, too. Lots of water to be drunk..
9/02 260.4 -- (Speaking firmly to myself) Heidi, don’t get cocky and think you can double up the deficit the day after you blow through it. You only lose control and snack right through it again!! The new normal is fragile. It must compete with lifelong dietary hubris!
9/03 259.4 -- Back to normal eating. A hearty brunch around noon, perhaps a mid-afternoon fruity snack, a hearty supper, a bit of an evening snack -- all within calories.

8/31 - 161.9 - yesterday was hard and today will be too - back to school which means inservice - lots of sitting in one spot and feeling hungry to stay awake yet no motivation to work out when you get home. Hopefully I can do something physical tonight.

Day/Weight/Comment
8/31--225.9 Had a great weightlifting session yesterday and got my stretching in.
9/01--225.5 Ugh, forgot to stretch yesterday. I know the problem is because I haven't scheduled it into my day and then I just expect myself to remember to do it, but because it's not a habit yet I usually forget. So, I'm going to make sure that I stretch right after I get home from walking the dog in the morning.
9/02--225.9 Weightlifted and stretched yesterday so that was a success. I am going out for afternoon tea today so there will be additional calories today. Going out for a quick hike this morning to offset the extra calories.
9/03--225.9 Stretched yesterday. Could have drank some more water yesterday, but I'm assuming all of the tea that I drank added to my water intake.

Round 12: 174
Round 13: 171.4
Round 15: 166.8
8/31 166.8 Happy to be back in the challenge after being away for a week. Business trip to NYC and I lost a pound! I will attribute that to less alcohol, more water, and a LOT of walking!
9/01 168.1 Pretty sure I know what this is from. I want to say TOM, but not sure when that's happening due to hormones and heat waves in my body... ugh. I am hot, I am irritable, there is a heat wave coming this weekend... Yesterday I ate too much, did not track, and did not do any planned exercise. I did get my water in, though, and am drinking it like crazy today. It's a new day and so far, so good.
9/02 168.1 Went running on the treadmill this morning after a restless night of sleep. Went out to the coast to beat the heat! Avoided a lot of sweets from here to the beach and back. Stuck with my lemonade water (I have the little 5 calorie packets of Crystal Light lemonade water enhancers for when I am not motivated to drink my water and tempted to drink sweet icy things like Starbucks iced caramel macchiattos).

44-year-old female
This is my first round...
Sw- 141 lbs
This round goal - 130's
UGW- 120 lbs
8/31 - ugh ! 143. Lbs - why?? Why did I gain? I'm going through a bad flare with my Hashimoto's. Makes my joints hurt terribly. But been measuring everythingI eat and everything is non-gluten and organic. I have increased my water intake and get my exercise in. Boo hoo!
9/01- 141.6 lbs - did no exercise at all yesterday as I somehow hurt my back. Can't even take a big breath.
9/02 - 141.6. Hubby and I went to dinner and a movie last night. I ate 1800 kcal yesterday, didn't get my steps in and didn't work out due to my back injury. Back is doing better today, so I'm going to take the dog on a nice walk and start my day off right! Morning ya'll!
9/03 - 141.6. Omg! How can I have three days of the exact same weight?? Got my steps in, my water in, and, light weights for back as it's recovering from an injury. Walked the dog for 30 minutes through our hilly neighborhood. Ran 20 minutes on the treadmill. Then I crazy-danced for a bout 10 minutes because I didn't want to stop moving because I LOVE early 90's dance music. Then abs and back workout.
Downfall is the actual hunger I've been feeling. Not cravings, actual hunger pangs and growling. It is very difficult to ignore. We ate dinner early yesterday 4PM, because I was hangry! It was BBQ ribs and veggies. It satiated me for about 2 hrs but then I was getting the hunger pangs again. I ended up going to a new local restaurant and ordered a small molten lava cake (of course they had no idea of the nutritional value except that was gluten-free. So I just did some searches and went with what looked like middle of the road for kcal. Then I went home and had some gluten-free, organic corn chips with salsa. I ate very healthy first 3/4 of th day though.6 -

@junodog1 @HeidiCooksSupper @frida001 guys you made me cry, I agonize over all you guys statistics and it's worse when they are mine. This gain is entirely expected because the doctor took me off my diuretic. I'm just having a hard time dealing with it, I'll feel better when I start losing again. It's sort of like finding out your scale has been weighing 5 pounds light and you have to re-lose the weigh. My fat content hasn't changed, just my water baseline.10
