Second round for me. This round will be a challenge itself as before my period I have irrational cravings. If I get through them without gaining weight then it will be already a complete challenge!
R14: start 61.3, end 60.9, average, 61.0 (-0.4kg)
R15: goal 60.5 kg (New Goal 9/04: get under 61 kg)
Ultimate goal: 57 kg
8/31 61.0 - cravings started yesterday evening. I I went out to meet some dear friends, ordered salad and water, but still felt hungry after that. Then ordered nachos (boo)! Thankfully that the scale showed only +0.1kg . Hope I can start running soon, as I am healed from last week's cold.
9/01 61.1 - chaotic day, had a lot of stuff to do. I ate when I could, and what I could find.
9/02 61.2 - chaotic day #2. Felt very tired and ice cream was my friend in need.
9/03 61.5 - Darn, last night I ate out, a little bit too much bread, but my oh my it was goood! The kind of food that is worth the extra weight and 10km it needs to loose the wieght.
9/04 61.4 - NEW goal for this round: get under 61. I am still happy to be in the 61s as 66 was my fiend for a while.
9/05 60.7 - HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? Glad it did, though Ate some cake yesterday, and french fries, so -0.7 kg it's a miracle..
9/06 60.7 - held yesterday's weight. 50minutes of swimming, 2km running (came up after 2 weeks break when I was sick, and could not run more).
9/07 61.3 - cravings before my period starting to kick in. Hopefully will keep the 61.0 by the end of the round.
9/08 61.4

Round 14Round 14
SW: 147.6
End of round goal: 146
Goal: Get to mainstream by the first of the year!
8/27 147.6 ~ (Steps 18,495 Miles 7.36) ~ Today's my sons birthday......Yesterday I was able to get a nice morning walk in plus hit the gym in the evening since it was too hot outside. I had to push myself to hit the gym, it did pay off in the scale, yay! Another pound off, I'm trying to lose the 5 pounds I gained from vacation,
8/28 148.8 ~ Yesterday, since I didn't get ANY exercise in plus my sodium was high, I have a gain. I didn't over eat though so my gain is only a pound. Yesterday's, was a success in my books!
8/29 148.3 ~ (Steps18,169) Miles 7 ~ I was hungry the whole day but was able to stick to my dairy, keeping my sodium low. I decided to try getting a workout before getting breakfast. Last night I had to alter my menu since my husband got off late from work. On the plus side a couple workouts during the day helped.
8/30 147.9 ~ (Steps 19,101 Miles 7.7) ~ Yesterday went well with goals, I was able to get a couple workouts at the gym. I switching up though, having my protein drink after my first workout. I need to focus on more fruits for snacks, after vacation, I'm having trouble incorporating them into my diet.
Not at my goal for this round but I'm ready for the next round!
This will be my 2nd round, too
End of R 14 147.9
End of R 15 goal: 143
Day/Weight/Comment:
8/31 146.4 ~ (Steps 28,910 Miles 7.75) ~ Yesterday I was able to get a couple workouts in plus a morning run.... My vacation weight is starting to drop off, only a couple more pounds..... Consistency to no late night snacking is the key
9/01 147.9 ~ (Steps 20,039 Miles 8 miles) ~ I don't understand the gain, I was able to get a nice workout last night plus my sodium wasn't to high. I also ate under my calories allowed so I'm really disappointed with the gain. I did have some watermelon last night but that shouldn't matter.
9/02 148 ~ (Steps 15,232 Miles 6) ~ We went to the Spring fair so my diet wasn't like it usually is, I was able to stay under my calorie goal, making smart choice. I also got a workout after the fair.
9/03 148.5....147.9 ~ (Steps 17,547 Miles 7) ~ Again with the gain, doing everything right, I log everything, stay within my goal, sodium is low, get my water in. I'm going to try dropping my intake to see how that works!
9/04 148 ~ (Steps 15,435 Miles 6) ~ We ended up going to dinner last night but I was able to make healthy choices, in fact taking half home for breakfast today, with such large portions
9/5 147.4 ~ (Steps 17,376 Miles 7) ~ Spent most of the day getting ready to head to my daughter's for the week. Met all my goals for the day.
9/6 I didn't have time at my daughter's in the morning
9/7 148.6 ~ (Steps 12,787 Miles 5) ~ All around good day, just ate late so weight was up!
9/8 148 ~ (Steps 24,548 Miles 9.75) ~ I was able to get some nice walks in with my grandkids and daughter. Our dinner consisted of a grilled spinach salad. Today going back home so tomorrow's weigh in will be with my scale.

I'm back!! Starting a day late on this round, we returned from our road trip last night. Much food I normally don't eat was consumed (think Poutine, Smoked meat, crepes...LOTs of wine LOL) so I know most of the reason I'm way up is that. I kept my breakfasts and lunches lighter so I could splurge at dinner....
So here goes 9 days of trying to get rid of the water bloat so I can see what the real damage was.
SW in March - 182.4
GW- 150 - I think I will re-evaluate when I get there...I'm not sure I'll be done...
Day/Weight/Comment
8/31 - no scale
9/01 - 157.4 - Results of our trip to Ottawa and Montreal. Also TOM started yesterday so this is a double Whammy. Going on a trail run this morning and will drink lots of water and get back to my regular meal routine.
9/02 - 156.8 - starting to shed some bloat. I already feel better being back to my routine for just one day.
9/03 - 155.4 - chipping away at the bloat
9/04 - 153.6 - many trips to the bathroom yesterday...shedding the vacay and TOM gains. I doubt there will be much more "easy" loss....but getting back on track with some meal prep and routine with the boys starting back to school tomorrow. Want to get to my 150 goal by the end of Sept, hopefully sooner.
9/05 - 154.0 - low energy and didn't do well with getting my water in yesterday.
9/06 - 153.4 - I have a feeling I'm going to bounce around a couple of lbs for a bit then then whoosh it out. Great day yesterday! And I've already got my run and an express kettlebell work out in today...feels great to get back into a routine with the kids back at school.
9/07 - 153.0 - chipping away
9/08 - 151.8 - YES! I think all the vacay/TOM bloat is gone...and I've started in on the real gain from my trip! Trust the process...getting back into routine really helps. Now to not let it all go as we go into a weekend. Hockey evaluations start for my boys so I'll be at the rink...say no to the fries, say no to the fries LOL

R11 SW 196.7
R12 SW 196.9
R13 SW 193.3
R14 SW 194.9
R15 SW 192.7
Day/Weight/Comment
8/31 - 194.4 I ate very late last night and the night before the 192.7 weight I had eaten almost no dinner. Timing of meals impacts the morning weigh in, but not enough to make me go hungry. I had a nice chuck roast that came out of the rotisserie right as I walked in the door at 9:15. Medium rare, just a little crispy on the edges, fresh sliced tomatoes and a little mashed potatoes on the side. Yum. And still in calorie limit for the day.
9/01 - 193.6 Busy day yesterday. Did not get to exercise. Worked until 11:00. (Usually I am a nine to fiver-er.) This may be the food description round for me, because today I want to wax eloquent about Popeye's Fried Chicken, which I have found I can eat in moderation. I split a breast between lunch and dinner, and I still have a chicken wing for my lunch today. Surprised the sodium in the side and biscuit did not send me up, but I was very diligent on a high water intake. Actually I do not have to write about fried chicken because someone already has: Ode to Fried Chicken
9/02 - 193.6 I am surprised by this. I expected to be up a little. I'm not complaining mind you. Quite a disappointing day yesterday as there was nothing magnificent to eat. Leftovers and snacking. Not very good fodder for a food description themed round.
9/03 - 193.6 Worked all day yesterday. I'm in the office now. I thought this was supposed to be a three day weekend for us in the USA. I did have a yummy Greek salad yesterday and healthy snacks of tasty little cherry tomatoes and watermelon chunks. When I went home I roasted up some chicken thighs with cumin, cayenne and cilantro, sides of corn and broccoli. Food is good. If today goes as planned I will have something for you tomorrow.
9/04 - 193.6 Four days in a row same weight. I know my scale will not change the weight read out if the variance is just a little. I wonder how long I can keep this going? Often I get my husband to step on the scale, just so it will give me a fresh reading as his weight is higher and 'resets' it. In delicious food news, last night I went home from another weekend day working in the office and cooked up a lovely prime rib. Tried a new method. Roasted it at 500 degrees for 5 minutes time the weight, then left it in the oven for two hours. Do not touch the oven door; leave it closed. It worked. I had a perfect medium rare rib roast. That will be a large part of dinner most of the next week as it is just DH and I.
9/05 - 193.8 Horrible day yesterday. No magnificent foods at all. Spent the day helping my daughter clean her apartment, change rooms and move in a new roommate, then I went to the office and worked. Not only did I not have a three day weekend, I did not have a weekend at all. (Whine!) Considering that both my meals came from drive thrus, I will not complain about my scale weight today. We are preparing to be prepared for Miss Irma if she decides to stick on her path and visit us. Hope you all have a good day.
9/06 - 193.1 Yesterday was not a bad day considering how much time I spent on storm prep. Got a run in last night at 9. Breakfast was a wonderful yogurt parfait with berries and granola, had a half banana mid morning, and lunch was a salad with lots of veggies, turkey and asiago cheese. Yum. Had a sliver of Sunday's rib roast for dinner with some nuts. Weird food combo, but tasty.
9/07 - 194.2 If I still had an official TOM I'd blame it on that. Oh well, it takes a little time to recover from bad behavior. Had to travel about an hour away to storm prep an in-laws house last night so was to bed late with no proper dinner. Great repeat of breakfast and lunch from the day before tho. Waiting too see what IRMA brings to the middle of Florida.
9/08 - 194.7 It was my daughters 23rd birthday and we went to join her for a late dinner. I stayed within my calories, but restaurant food.... I could taste the saltiness difference. I just don't use it that much at home. (But I feel like I am salting things like crazy. Must be the awareness factor. ) I will probably sweat it out today moving everything loose outside to a secure location so it does not get picked up by Irma and shared with a neighbor's window, cow, car, etc. See you tomorrow! (Sunday too - now Monday that's a big wait and see if we have power....)

So the past two days I've been sick. Like so sick with some sort of flu or something. And I think I'm going to have to get some Pedilyte or something because I'm getting really dehydrated even though I'm chugging water. I haven't exercised and I've been eating healthy and hydrating foods. If this keeps up thru the weekend you best believe I'm going to the doctor. On the plus side, it might be why I've lost weight...
9/01: 129.2
I have nothing to say. I can't give any credit to myself. It will probably come back when I feel better. Still feeling a icky.
9/02: 129.2
Still sick. Now I've decided to be more positive about the weight loss though. I am going to say that it will stay off when I get better, because I want it to!
9/03: 128.4
Yep. Still not doing anything except creeping ever so slowly to death.
9/04: 128.4
Woke up today feeling slightly better!!! Finally!!! Now I can start trying to eat healthy again...I've not been making calorie count most days and on the days that I have it's been with horrific foods. I have poor self control when I'm ill.
9/05: Ate breakfast before I remembered to weigh in.
9/06: 128.4
Omg I can't believe I've been in the 120s for a whole week. Saw my neurologist yesterday and he commented on my weight loss without me saying anything. He said I looked like a completely different person and so much younger.
9/07: 128.4
Surprisingly steady considering I met my mother for lunch yesterday AND I went out to dinner with my husband last night. Maybe this round is going to be one with a WHOOSH! after 3 weeks of plateauing.
9/08: 128.4
My new plateau? I'm totally ok with it. If anyone knew how long it's been since I weighed this much...hell, I don't even remember the last time I was in this range (before this week). Suddenly, though, I've gotten too small for my britches. Bahahaha.

9/03: 202.4 -- over calories, worked out yesterday.
9/04: 202.8 -- over calories and ravenous, tried to work out but didn't manage much. Might be getting sick; I feel gross and a bit nauseated.
9/05: 201 -- under calories, no workout yesterday. Def sick.
9/06: 201 -- under calories, no workout. Feeling much better.
9/07: 201.8 -- under calories, long walk yesterday. As others have noted, scale fluctuations are more frustrating the closer I get to the 190s.
9/08: 201.8 -- under calories, worked out.
9/09
@missionhercules Weighing daily has drastically reduced my emotional reliance on the scale. I see my weight fluctuate and realize that sometimes it goes up (or down) for no reason at all. I can't control my weight on any given day; I can only control my actions. It's allowed me to focus on the process more than the result, which is more sustainable for me. And looking forward to maintenance, it has also relieved me of the pressure of having to maintain one single number for the rest of my life.
When I weighed weekly I was much more upset if I didn't lose much -- or worse, gained -- because I had the idea that was my "real" weight. Never mind I could have easily been having a random high weight fluctuation that day.11 -
I know those two 195 weights were flukes but I am chasing them anyway!!
SW, 212 (highest recorded weight) I've no idea what my highest weight was!
R09, SW 203.4 - mean weight - 201.4

goal for R13 R14 R15 to get under and make being under 196lbs permanent
so it seems that getting under 196 (14 stone) is proving just as difficult at getting out of the 200's was!!
3rd round lucky!!!
UGW 140
30/8 - 197.2 - pulled a muscle or strained something anyway (really not sure how or what I have done but its painful and I am struggling to even walk or get a decent nights sleep, drank my water and stayed under my calories, due to being un-able to exercise I think the calories are even more important
31/8 - 198.8 - back in pain all day so I kept the calories low, its really all I can do at the moment!
01/9 - 197 - back in a lot of pain
02/9 - 198.4 - 6000 steps (pushing myself to see if it will help my back)
03/9 - 198.4 - OK so that didn't help!! now the pain has spread into my legs also -- rest it has to be!!
04/9 - 198.6 - I've decided to drop my calories for the next week, 1300 sounds fair, I am basically sedentary at the moment.
05/9 - 199.4 - not surprised, I'm not moving!! looks like this round is a wash out - went to bed earlier as I seem to be mostly pain free there.
06/9 - 198 - I managed a slow slow shuffle when at the dentist today, I couldn't sit in the waiting room chair due to the pain so I shuffled up and down outside till it was my turn. about 20 mins. cals low.
07/9 - 196.6 - 1/4 mile walking in circles at a snails pace cals low drank water.
08/9 - 197 - so happy to be getting further away from the 200's again, I feared jumping back into them.

I will continue with my hydration and 5 minute daily stretching goal for this round.
Day/Weight/Comment
8/31--225.9 Had a great weightlifting session yesterday and got my stretching in.
9/01--225.5 Ugh, forgot to stretch yesterday. I know the problem is because I haven't scheduled it into my day and then I just expect myself to remember to do it, but because it's not a habit yet I usually forget. So, I'm going to make sure that I stretch right after I get home from walking the dog in the morning.
9/02--225.9 Weightlifted and stretched yesterday so that was a success. I am going out for afternoon tea today so there will be additional calories today. Going out for a quick hike this morning to offset the extra calories.
9/03--225.9 Stretched yesterday. Could have drank some more water yesterday, but I'm assuming all of the tea that I drank added to my water intake.
9/04--226.4 Went out to friend's house for a BBQ yesterday. I estimated my calories and I think that I ate at or slightly over my calories, but I am definitely retaining water. Stretched yesterday.
9/05--227.2 Dehydrated. It's been so hot here lately and I have no AC, most people don't, and for this past weekend just the thought of exerting the energy to get up from the couch to get a glass of water was too much for me most of the time so I didn't drink as much water as I should have. Thankfully there is AC at work, so I've been getting my water in. Let's see what the scale does tomorrow. Stretched yesterday.
9/06--227.2 Definitely feeling better after drinking a lot more water. Forgot to stretch yesterday, ugh! Just waiting for the extra weekend water retention to release.
9/07--225.9 There it goes.
9/08--225.9 Holding steady. Stretched yesterday. I didn't drink as much water as I usually do and I can feel the difference this morning.

missionhercules wrote: »SO this has helped everyone....to weigh in everyday? I've been working on healthier options for about 2 months now and yes I am down but last 3 weeks has been a see saw on the scale. It frustrating as hell since it is a MAJOR mental breakthrough point for me as well (haven't been under 300 lbs in years and last 3 weeks I have went around 304-301 back to 303 to 301.2 to 301.8 (this is today's weight) etc.) Been clean eating and lots of water (which has never been a problem with me). Also running and lifting 3 times a week and heavy bag boxing 2-3 times a week. Both days between 600-800 calorie burns just from the workouts. Daily weigh ins I believe would drive me nuts. I noticed yesterday the next tighter notch on my belt needed and I feel better, just curious about this daily thing. Is it more for accountability daily?
I find weighing daily keeps me accountable because I do think about what that cheeseburger might look like on the scale and if I don't eat the cheeseburger and I gain anyway I realize it's not because of bad choices I may have made. There was two rounds when I ended up exactly the same weight at the end of each and had I not weighed daily then I'd have not known that the second round all of my weigh ins were lower than the final weight. Weighing daily is not for everyone, but it works for me. Good luck on your journey

9/07-156.86 So I had a cry today when I realized everyone got a yummy Starbucks except me. Then husband and I got into an argument because I don't want to go out to eat. I see no point in going to a restaurant when I can't order what I actually want to eat. So mentally not having a great day. Maintaining calories.
Consider this a BIG HUG from me! Are you making this too hard on yourself?
Is your deficit too great? Are you beating yourself up for every time you go over? These things can cause us to quit. A day off is a lot better than quitting.
Maybe in the future you can check out the Starbucks calories ahead of time and choose something yummy that you can work around. There are plenty of things that even the largest size is less than 200 calories. Sure beats crying over it. Same with going out to eat.
Then, grant yourself other days when you eat with reckless abandon. Yes, these days will slow down your progress but that is your choice. Just decide what works FOR YOU. Delaying progress is a lot better than throwing in the towel totally.
I have 100 pounds to go before I hit 156 like you. The biggest challenges we have are to not beat ourselves up and to not give up. As I said earlier, BIG HUG!!!7 -
Started R6 @ 177.1
First Goal: 170 ✔️
Next Goal: 159 ... At a slow rate
End of R9: 170.2
End of R15 164.0
31/8 - 163.3 *Hit steps. Packed my lunch. Great dinner. Hit calorie goal!!
1/9 - 162.3 Hitting step goals (but not too much over) Packing lunch and having a healthy dinner. Planning on a hike around the lake on the weekend.
2/9 - 160.8. I signed up for my first 5K race. Cinnamon Bun Fun Run THEY GIVE YOU A CINNAMON BUN AFTER THE RACE!!! I have 3 months to get ready and I'm pretty excited. 12,000 steps. Calorie goals hit. Close to next goal
3/9 - 160.9. 17,651 Steps. Spent a lot of my calories on beverages. It was a hot day. Spent some time with my youngest 'back to school stuff'. Sundays goal is to hike around a lake with my oldest. Fit Family time!! I spent most of August hoovering around 165lbs. Now that I'm working on my weight it seems to be dropping at a faster rate. This should be interesting. Looking for that 5!!
4/9 - 160.3 So my kid wouldn't hike with me so I had to adjust my plan. Tried to hit 40,000 steps!! I didn't make it. 38,385 beating my best by over 1600. Maybe in a couple of weeks I can try again (SO is home this weekend) I'll have to start earlier and/or it'll have to get a little cooler out. I can see the 5's in the distance.
5/9 - 160.3 Was so hot last night, should have went swimming. It's very smokey here today and an errie yellow glow with strong scent of fire. Air quality will not be the best so step goal will be interesting. Will try and walk the Big Box stores and see if I can reach my goals.
6/9 - 160.6 Hit steps but felt a little 'off' yesterday. Never put much in full moon effects but maybe with this smoke and the full moon coming its hit me. Sleep has been terrible.
7/9 - 160.1 Hmmmm SO arrives home late Friday. Can I see a 5 before that? Let's hope. All will go out the window once he's home, not too too much but he is a great cook and he does calculate my calories. I just don't think he realizes just how calorie dense olive oil is!! All I see are 5's.
8/9 - 159.4 ............. 5's

For me, it's a way to start the day with a reminder of what I'm doing. If I start the day with a weigh in, reading all the entries in this challenge, and then considering my own situation, then I have established that this day is another day I will pay attention to how much I eat.
I know from many decades experience that when I am not weighing daily, I slide right back up to weighing twice what I ought. So, daily accountability works for me. This challenge has helped me feel part of a community sharing daily accountability.7 -

9/01 206.6 - expected this, I didn't walk much.
9/02 205.8 - happy with this, but I know my body will bounce up and down a pound for a few days before it lets the lesser pound stay lol
9/03 204.8 - Surprised!
9/04 206.0 - Not surprised LOL. I'm swollen like a puffer fish! Need to up my water intake and watch my sodium.
9/05 206.4 - Going to down lots of water today. Still pretty swollen
9/06 203.8 - Shew!!! I know this will go back up tomorrow and even out, but all that water did me good!
9/07 203.4 - Totally Surprised!!! Not my normal pattern, maybe it's the luck of this group! I'll take it!
9/08 203.0 - Lots of water and walking - My goal weight was 204, stoked that I passed it!
9/098 -
Last round’s “mid-weight” was a bit up because of a logging hiatus for 4 days but it ended at a new low so hoping for more normalcy this round and ending it nicely down in the 250s. Goal for this round is no drama! CICO!!
Round 8/1: HW 274.4 LW 269.8 MidW = 271.9
Round 9/2: HW 269.4 LW 266.8 MidW=268.1
Round 10/3: HW 269 LW 266.4 MidW = 267.7
Round 11/4: HW 267.4 LW 264.2 MidW = 265.8
Round 12/5: HW 264.8 LW 261.2 MidW = 263.0
Round 13/6: HW 263.8 LW 260.6 MidW = 262.2
Round 14/7: HW 266.4 LW 259.2 MidW = 262.8
8/31 359.4 -- How nice to start out a challenge in the 250s. The top of the 250s but I’ll take it!
9/01 261.2 -- Not unexpected. Ate a commercial pizza sodium bomb and snacked away any deficit. Back to normal today and aiming toward a low sodium day, too. Lots of water to be drunk..
9/02 260.4 -- (Speaking firmly to myself) Heidi, don’t get cocky and think you can double up the deficit the day after you blow through it. You only lose control and snack right through it again!! The new normal is fragile. It must compete with lifelong dietary hubris!
9/03 259.4 -- Back to normal eating. A hearty brunch around noon, perhaps a mid-afternoon fruity snack, a hearty supper, a bit of an evening snack -- all within calories.
9/04 258.6 -- Ahhhh … CICO … self-satisfied smile
9/05 258.0 --That’s 25 pounds down! Yay!!
9/06 258.4 -- A bit salty yesterday.
9/07 258.0 -- Finally ate the “mystery” container of chicken soup from the freezer last night. I think that takes care of all the prepared food for which I have no calorie count from before I commenced logging. I used someone else’s high number for homemade and figure it’s close enough. Now I put such things in my recipes so I can retrieve it when I need it..
9/08 257.2 -- I blasted right through my deficit with excess snacking last night. Gotta cut that out! Gonna have a long, serious chat with myself today. Even more so, tonight. “Don’t snack, Heidi! Go to bed! You’re really tired not hungry!”

8/31 166.8 Happy to be back in the challenge after being away for a week. Business trip to NYC and I lost a pound! I will attribute that to less alcohol, more water, and a LOT of walking!
9/01 168.1 Pretty sure I know what this is from. I want to say TOM, but not sure when that's happening due to hormones and heat waves in my body... ugh. I am hot, I am irritable, there is a heat wave coming this weekend... Yesterday I ate too much, did not track, and did not do any planned exercise. I did get my water in, though, and am drinking it like crazy today. It's a new day and so far, so good.
9/02 168.1 Went running on the treadmill this morning after a restless night of sleep. Went out to the coast to beat the heat! Avoided a lot of sweets from here to the beach and back. Stuck with my lemonade water (I have the little 5 calorie packets of Crystal Light lemonade water enhancers for when I am not motivated to drink my water and tempted to drink sweet icy things like Starbucks iced caramel macchiattos).
9/03 166.8
9/04 166.1 It was very hot here yesterday. Drank a lot of water just to avoid the headaches. I am up to 25 minutes of running at a time on the treadmill now. Still tracking. So grateful for a day off of work today!
9/05 167.7 I took the day off yesterday and relaxed with the family. Which meant no exercise and some what I know were high sodium treats.
9/06 165.8 Would like for this to stick, so trying to stay on track today. Have had a busy work day. Totally need a run, but have Back to School Night tonight. Boo. I mean...I love my kids! Good thing the gym is open until 9:30.
9/07 163.4 So I did stay on track yesterday... Right at my low calorie count, more hard proteins vs. soft (tuna, chicken breast) and not a lot of sugar. I ended up not exercising, because my son wanted to watch a TV show with me. So we did that. I was up three times last night, so maybe I am dehydrated today? Or maybe my exercising is paying off? Replenishing with water today.
9/08 163.3 Got my run in last night, stayed on track with calories. Slept a little better. Thinking about those of you in the southeast. Stay safe!

I have these conversations with myself nightly. Salt and vinegar chips and nighttime TV are both my luxury and my nemesis, so I need to figure it out, too. I have been going to the Y to do some running at night. It distracts me. If I don't go running, then I walk the dog. Or drink some flavored water, or tea... or like you said, just go to bed.5 -

8/31 - 132.1 I am the epitome of a yoyo for the last 2 months. I have to believe that if I want the loss bad enough, I will do the right thing. Obviously, I am not going to reach 130# this month. I leave tomorrow and return home to my regular scale. I will be interested to see what it reads But it's not just about the numbers!
9/01 - 131.7 on the road today and no scale tomorrow
9/02 - no scale. I will be home in 4 hours and back to my comfort zone for habits (exercise and eating). Looking for that 130# and then my ultimate goal to get below that!
9/03 - 130.8 back to my scale at home.
9/04 - 130 At the gym. Back to my routine. Things are looking up.
9/05 - 130 staying steady. But have not been logging. A little afraid what tomorrow will bring. But hoping my workout mode will help me and tomorrow I will log!
9/06 - 131.6 no surprise here. The stress of Hurricane Irma and living in So. Fl is not helping. along w/not logging. I am trying to refocus and stay on track. Was at the gym this morning. Eating has been fair, but I will log!
9/07 - 131.6 Hopefully will get better...
9/08 - 130.8 I am good with that for this round. Finally below the 131 mark at the end of a round. Bring on round 16.

I missed that there was one more day oops! Hope I can hold onto being below 131# for round 16. I will fix that final # tomorrow6 -

9/08 158 Not a surprise. DH wasn't feeling well and when finally something sounded good, it was pizza at Cicis's. I had a large salad with Blue Cheese dressing and one piece of veggie flatbread with the topping from a second piece added. I also had my first diet soda in a week and then because of other commitments, didn't get enough water in!5 -
@shnookie70 PLEASE still check in with us even if you aren't weighing daily.
@missionhercules I would say we each have our own reason for doing this. Personally, it keeps me accountable and because I am older (67) I don't have the hormonal issues the younger ladies might have. I like being able to track what is working for me and what isn't. I've been down this road many times and feel daily weighing works best for me.
@Terilynn78 I'm curious to see what happens on the scale tomorrow. Less carbs, more protein sounds like one of the Keto plans.2 -

@junodog1 Where in Florida are you? So many friends and family down there! Sending prayers to all.
@NormaV14 And where are you? I have family and friends scattered all over the state. 7 years living in Palm Beach county growing up gave me respect for hurricanes!
@rtls I used to treat myself to a fat free sugar free Starbucks periodically when doing Weight Watchers. Just don't do it daily AND get the smallest size. Their website has/had a thing where you could customize your beverage and get accurate nutritional info.

S15 SW - 225.8
S15 GW - 222.8
8/31 - 226.0 -starting off with a nice even number! Looking forward to pushing myself the next 10 days! Going to the gym today before going out of town for 3 days. I have my meals all planned and will get a chicken salad if going out for food. I will be drinking at least 5 bottles of water.
9/01 - 226.6 - expected it to go up as I did not make it to the gym and ate some salty bacon wrapped pork and perogies - I portioned it though! I am going out of town the next few days and won't be able to exercise so I will focus on trying to eat healthy and hopefully will come back weighing less than 226.6. I am bring my scale as well to weigh my food. I will look for a scale to weigh myself but if I don't find one I'll be back on the 5th!
9/02 - no scale -out of town
9/03 - no scale - out of town
9/04 -226.2!!!! Omg first time ever where i have gone on a trip and not come back weighing 5-10lbs more because I binged on everything! Im in shock!!! I ate out most meals but ordered either a wrap or salad. I treated myself to a traditional milkshake and a piece of chocolate cake to help with TOM cravings. I felt crappy after. Wow. Feeling super motivated to keep moving the numbers down on the scale rather than having to play catch up!!!!!
9/05 - 225.2! Lowest yet. Feeling great to be back into my routine. Went to the gym. Did groceries. Will hopefully get some meal prep done (If baby allows it) and maybe go for a little walk down our waterfront. I'm going to try to get down another 0.5-1lbs before the end of this challenge! I'm realizing my goal of losing 3lbs in 10 days may not be realistic/healthy so for next round I will bump it down to 2.
9/06 - 223.4 . Wow big jump!!! Probably due to a little dehydration from the gym (although I drank 125oz of water). My weight in for the Biggest Loser challenge tomorrow so hoping to maintain! I went to the gym yesterday and 4.5km walk. Heading to the gym now and picking up a few more groceries to make a few recipes I picked out. We are going on a mini honeymoon in 10 days so hoping to lose as much as I can before then and keep it off!
9/07 - 223.4 - so great that it stayed. Went to the gym yesterday and today and have eaten small amounts, no big meals. Today I am trying cauliflower pizza so that will be a treat! Healthy alternative
To real pizza! I lost 2.6lbs for my Biggest Loser Challenge this week. So so great after going away for 3 days. Currently prepping food for the week making salads, healthy snacks. Feeling in control! 2 more days to go... let's see if I can get into the 222's!
9/08 - 225.4 - back up as expected. I didn't eat much those 2 days so it makes sense it is back up. I also made some homemade pizza which i think accounted for the extra weight. Back on track today. I went for a 5km walk and will be doing baseball practice today for the tournament.

missionhercules wrote: »SO this has helped everyone....to weigh in everyday? ... Is it more for accountability daily?
I prefer to weigh in daily, and I have doe since before finding this group .. I log my weight in MFP weekly and if I only weighed in weekly I would be getting upset by the results as I have gone up (on a Monday) 4 weeks in a row, however weighing daily lets me see more clearly the peaks and troughs My lowest weight to date has been 195 and I wouldn't have known that if I wasn't a daily weigher .. the low points give me the reminder of what I am looking for and the high points remind me to give myself a kick and work a bit harder that day.
Its really not for everyone, but it suits who I am ... My husband will not stand on a scale ever .. he goes by the way his clothes fit, the scale annoys him.
