Hi All - I just started the keto diet. Would like some daily meal ideas. Having a hard time keeping up with fat intake.... and is it bad to eat too much protein. Thanks!

I am still figuring it out. Yes, you can eat too much protein. Shoot for 20 grams of carbohydrates, a lot of fat and less protein. I drink fatty coffee (google it) in morning and it really helps get the fat in early, plus putting cream cheese in scrambled eggs. Still haven't figured out the meals yet but I have lost weight so doing something right. Good luck0

Drinking fatty coffee is not necessary. "Getting the fat in early" is not necessary.
20Grams is not a magic number.

Thank you. I like the cream cheese in eggs idea. I have the keto app which helps keep me on target. I find I am still hungry at end of day despite all my targets being met at close to 100% so I confused on what I should eat or do once I hit my quota for the day. I'm hoping once I have more time in the diet that my hunger will decrease.1

How many calories are you eating? How much weight do you need/want to lose?0 -
I've been doing my best on Keto. Always seem to go over a bit on carbs and under a bit on protein and fat. Although not perfect, I've lost 18 lbs so far. I got sick of eggs, but maybe I will try them with cream cheese. Most of my carbs come from salad and veggies. Add in avocados, salmon, tuna, meat, full fat-low carb dairy, eggs, above ground-non starchy vegetables, leafy greens, nuts, lemon, coconut oil, olive oil, olives and berries. In the beginning my blood sugar would still dip and I would get hungry more often. But if you add enough fat, you will feel satisfied. It's ok if you go over a bit on calories, it's better than giving up. Drink chicken broth or hot tea too when your hungry. I eat sugar-free jello with Ready whip if I need a desert. I've also heard of fat bombs. You can look on YouTube for tons of Keto info and recipes. Good luck!
