9/10 - 237.4 felt good about my daily losses for the week. Poor planning led me to cheat on keto, but I still logged, which I'm proud of.
9/11 - 238.2 I expected this gain after the carbs from yesterday, but it was less than I expected. I usually get water gains of at least 2 pounds. Maybe I didn't cheat as bad as I thought or I've been keeping up with hydration. Regardless, I've already gotten back to my normal diet and am excited. Super close to being 10 pounds down from my starting/highest!!
9/12 - 237.4 back again! only .4 to 10 lbs lost (hopefully, I'll see it tomorrow)! I'm determined to be very strict for these days leading up to my birthday
9/13 - 236.4 A GIRL IS OFFICIALLY DOWN 10.6 POUNDS!! #got; I'm really enjoying this challenge so far. The engagement in addition to the progress is super motivating!
9/14 - 234.8 major cravings yesterday, but managed to fight the urge, and I'm happy I did. I haven't seen a number this low for quite a while. At this point, I don't even mind if it's all water, I'm really just happy to have the strength of will to keep going long enough to see results of any kind.
I am a little worried about today though. As I write this, a close friend of mine is en route to my place. Love her to death, but she is definitely a binge buddy of mine. Her diet is the same as before as far as I know, and at the very least, she'll be waving delicious food right in my face. Deep down, I know she doesn't want me to lose weight. And I don't hold that against her, I understand human nature. But I also need people who will support me. Anyway, we'll be spending the whole day together so please wish me luck!! I don't intend on going over carbs until either my birthday on the 20th (and even then I might wait) or the 23rd when I'll be going to the fair.

The bounce back up. I am learning my body will bounce around for several days and then drop again. Goals met. Tried out a 15-minute exercise video on YouTube. I will add it to my routine on my non-gym days for this round.

Goals met. I had a really good day at the gym. I pushed myself harder during cardio and I lifted more weight in my strength training circuit.

Today is 2 months since I started logging my calories and making changes in relation to food and exercise. This isn’t the first time, but this time is permanent. I made these changes not because I knew I should, for someone else, etc. Not that any of those reasons are bad; they just weren’t good enough for me to make permanent changes. I made them because I no longer wanted to mistreat my body; I had a reality check of how my life would be if I continued. I went to the gym on my non-gym day. I didn’t push myself and just stretched everything out to help some of the soreness. I met all my goals except taking my vitamins. Oops.

I expected this for two reasons: 1) It was the second woosh in less than a week and 2) I am having some soreness. I am super happy with this number. Goals met. It was a good day at the gym. I had so much going on I thought about skipping and going tomorrow, but I realized I just needed to go.

9/10 - 223.8 - i was already down to 223.4 so this is almost there. Although i played about 4 hours of baseball and dodgeball today, I had my first binge day on 1.5 months and ate over 1500 calories in just sweets. I'm disappointed in myself but determined to get back on track tomorrow. I'm going to skip the gym to let my body heal a bit from this weekend but will go on an 8.5km walk. I am also doing a practice with my dodgeball team! I'm hoping the scale isn't too mean tomorrow!
9/11 - 225.0 - as expected. I'm out walking now. Getting back on track. My consequence for eating any sweets is 200 jumping jacks!
9/12 - 223.6 - ok. I'm almost back to my lowest. I would like to get to 223.0 before i leave for my trip Friday and then my goal for the weekend will be to maintain! I did baseball practice today.. I need to rest my hips and knees so no gym or walk tomorrow but i will do a few exercises at home. I have been trying to stop eating sweets so made myself a deal I would do 200 jumping jacks for everyone I had... so I need to do 400 tomorrow lol.
9/13 - 224.0 - damn. I guess the treats and not going to the gym are catching up to me despite doing some sports exercises. I did a bunch of errands today getti g ready for my trip and 200/400 jumping jacks. I will get them done by end of day. Tomorrow is may weigh in for biggest loser challenge and it doesn't look like I lost anything this week. I'm going away this weekend and hoping between all the walking and trying to choose healthy options I will maintain so I don't have to spend a whole week trying to burn it all off.
9/14 - 222.4!!! Woohoo! I completely forgot how my TOM affects my water retention and weight. This ended yesterday which i believe helps account for the big loss. Today I am packing and cleaning my house so that should burn a few calories. I also plan to stay within my calories for the day! It also looks like I achieved my goal for this round. My next goal is to maintain it until the end of the round. I won't be able to weigh in the 16th-18th so the 19th will let me know how I did!

9/10: 175 lbs. I made worse food choices today than I have in over a month. I did log everything, at least, and stuck to no sugar.
9/11: 175 lbs. My day off, I lazed around. The day isn't over but so far I'm staying well within my calories and no sugar. Not enough protein, though.
9/12: 175.5 lbs, ugh, still paying for Sunday's cheese binge maybe. Well, I'm under my daily calories again today, no added sugar, no impulse eating. Been doing well on getting enough water. Haven't been eating after 8:00 pm.
9/13: 175 lbs. Staying in my calories, no added sugar, no impulse eating, plenty of water, decent amt of protein, it's early yet but no reason to eat after 8pm. Boring work day but decent diet day.
9/14: 173 lbs. I know it's a fluctuation, but I'll take it! I was stuck in a 175.5/175/175.5 loop for 10 days so I needed a win. I'm now officially 10+ lbs down from when I rejoined MFP this time.

9/12 257.2 -- I must have been self-medicating with food all my life. I started to feel the barometric pressure changes yesterday afternoon as Irma blew through and my immediate response was a big snack attack and then a nap. Very interesting. Stayed within calories by having a very low cal supper.
9/13 259.4 -- Gack!!! Let’s see … take-out Chinese, late night snacking … that’ll do it!

9/12 - 231 - I'm appalled with the scale. I got on twice just to make sure I was not crazy! Huge let down after a great second day of C25K. So frustrated right now.
9/13 - 231 - Whatever.
9/14 - 227 - Feeling relieved to see this - I was seriously nervous this morning. Tomorrow my new running shoes arrive and I'm looking forward to getting out of these numbers for good! Didn't have time for C25K this am so alternated between running 1-3 minutes and walking for 1 for a total of 20 minutes. Not what I wanted but at least I did something! Officially under my starting weight for this round!

9/10 - 177.8 drinking last night my SO birthday. Cleaning house today and I will walk the dogs. Lots of water today. Salad for lunch. No breakfast as I woke up late.
9/11 - 177.8 same as day before. I did the 7 Fit workout yesterday. 7 min of working out. I wonder if I can do this at work. 2 Salads today. Lunch and dinner then hungry at bed. Had some popcorn. Stayed in calorie limit.
9/12 - 177.0 I went to a gym yesterday. I did 15 min on the elliptical and some weights and I walked 2x's 50 min in total. Salad for lunch today. No morning snack. To busy.
9/13 - 176.4 My regular 2 walks yesterday and the I rested the rest of the night. I was tired. I went to bed a little bit earlier. Feeling tired still today. Smoothy for breakfast, salad for lunch. Dinner will be shrimp something.
9/14 - 176.4 2 walks yesterday. I was feeling sore yesterday so I took some Tylenol. When I got home I was exhausted. Was it the pain medicine? I ended up sleeping for 2 hours. I still went to bed at the usual time.

9/10: 203.00- Oh yay, gained everything i lost last week in about 2 days lol!!This is water weight I'm sure. I had a lot of alcohol the past two days, didnt log, ate out dinner the past two days as well. I tried to keep it healthy but I know it was probably packed with Na+ and sugar. Also didnt drink half my normal amount of water. So heres to recovering from all the damage I did!
9/11- 204.5 same trend as last week! I have all my meals planned out for the week. Looking forward to doing better!
9/12- 205 scale is playing games this am lol. I don't believe it.
9/13- 201.6 yay heading back down. This is more like it! Hopefully I stay on this trend. Ive hit 100oz of water the past two days without trying so very happy with that

9/11 - 163.3 Well SO has arrived we spent the whole weekend siting and have dinners and luncheons etc. Which I knew was coming. I didn't eat 15,750 extra calories in 2 days so I'm ok with these numbers. Today is another get together and then he's gone again on Wednesday and hopefully I can get back on full track. Only thing I'm kind of disappointed about is I didn't hit my step goals (too much time in the car) What I have learned is enjoy these days celebrate within reason and then get back to it. As long as I don't throw in the towel and give up I'll be fine.

9/12 - 133 so I am a bit off since Hurricane Irma. Living in So. Fl most of the year, I have been a little preoccupied - cooped up in the house with nothing to do, but cook, eat and watch a hurricane. I finally got to the gym today, but did not log. Hopefully tomorrow I will be back on track and back on goal. We are all fine and if the worst thing that happened to me was gaining a little weight, a few lost screens and trees, I'll take it! 9/10--226.6 This is a normal fluctuation. I know that I did not drink a lot of water yesterday, I find it is difficult on the weekends. However, yesterday I successfully ate at my calorie level, which I find is a challenge on the weekends, and I stretched. Today I'm going out for lunch, so the weight will probably be up tomorrow from the additional sodium.
9/11--227.9 There it is. The additional sodium from lunch yesterday plus a lack of hydration results in the gain. No worries, will just wait for it to go. I did get my stretching in yesterday, so that is a plus.
9/12--227.2 Ugh, forgot to stretch yesterday. Sill working on making it a habit.
9/13--226.4 Stretched yesterday. My NSV yesterday was that I was feeling bored at about 7:30 last night and felt like eating even though I wasn't hungry, so I went for a run instead...I haven't run in over 7 months.

Last week I didn't get my usual exercise due to smoke/hazardous air quality from forest fires. My calories averaged 1830 and weight stayed steady, so this round I'm going to keep my calories at that level but get back to my usual walking 60-120 min/day and see what happens. I find these daily check ins inspiring and motivational, so thanks!

Getting my daily walks and sticking to my calories goal (~1850). I've also changed my macro goals a bit this time around to 25-30% protein, 30-35% fat (heavy on healthy fats), and 35-40% carbs (mostly non-starchy veggies, fruits, and a teeny bit of whole grain and/or legumes and/or nuts and seeds). Increasing the fat and reducing the carbs slightly makes me less hungry - yay! I do indulge in either a little good chocolate or some licorice - no more that 100 calories, to be eaten slowly and savored! Because all things in moderation, including moderation. :-)

I had an extra 200 calories yesterday, but all good, healthy ones, and they don't seem to have hurt me so far. It's a gorgeous day here, so I plan to backpack my laptop to Starbucks (30 minutes), work a couple of hours, and backpack home. I've been trying to walk anywhere I need to go within 2 miles (unless I'll have stuff to carry!). I'm a writer and often write in coffee shops, and luckily there are several within 1-2 miles. I just wish my laptop were a bit lighter! But I remind myself that the extra weight = more calories burned. :-)

You all are the only people who know I do it. My sweet husband knows I've done it in the past but I haven't told him about my recent 'episodes.' I get in these kinda depressed states and then binge, feel HORRIBLE, then do it again!! Besides getting trigger foods out of the house, I'm going to make it more public. I'm just going to keep track of how long I can go without a lapse. Thanks for listening.

My mother and I were just talking about being each other's cheerleaders. Those of us who have been known to "sneak eat" are only hurting ourselves and we know it but it's damned hard to break the pattern. Late night snacking, after hubby goes to bed, is my nemesis. As my mother said on the phone, it's boredom. And, yes, that's part of it. It's also part of feeling a little bit rebellious by eating "what I damned well please" when no one is looking. So, at least we know the problem lies between our ears. We now need to work on that, on what we think about to try to break the eating-as-solace pattern.
I'm finally, after much counseling and the advantage of being old as dirt, getting so that I understand that the only person I am punishing when I overeat is me. I'm the one who's in pain from carrying around too much weight. I'm the one who feels guilty that I'm not living up to my own standards. I've known these things intellectually for a long time but am still working on knowing them in my heart. That's where it all stands.
We, you and I, just need to believe that treating ourselves better is the thing that will make us feel good. Believe you and I deserve to feel good and, as a counsellor once told me, make your behaviors match your beliefs. Do what you need to do to make you feel good! That binge eating you did may have felt good while you were doing it but it's not making you feel good now. Behave in ways that will make you feel good longer term than just while your mouth is full! Treat yourself better than you have been. You deserve it!10 -

Love, love, love this group! I'm really hoping to step up my water intake these 10 days. I really struggled doing that last round. My goal this round is to lose between 1 - 2lbs.
SW: 202
CW: 175
GW: 173.5
UGW: 125
09/10: 175 My Mom is still in the hospital. I've been there with her the last several days. According to the xrays, nothing has changed. Since I've been there, I haven't been getting as many steps in as I have been. I definitely didn't drink much water, and my calorie intake was low.
09/11: 176.6 Well, the whoosh I had last week, I've gained back due to lack of water consumption or hormones. My ovulation cycle is always so hard on me. I think I feel the worst then. Of course, being at the hospital and not moving much isn't great either. However, I managed to get my lesson plans done while I was there.
09/12: 175.8 Well, I managed to drink more water yesterday, and I put in about 7500 steps, which is a lot for me considering the field I work in. I hope I get back to 174.4 (where I ended last round) by the time this round ends at least.
09/13: 175 lbs Mom was moved into a rehab facility last night. She's slightly improved but no significant change. She has no strength at all. She doesn't want to be there, but she can't be alone. She doesn't want to be with us either because it's 30 minutes away from the cancer center. My husband is beside himself. I just pray that I have the strength that he and I both need to carry him through this. Upside: I managed to get 44 oz of water in the last two days. Woot! I've been struggling with just 28. So, I'm proud of that.
09/14: 176.2 I know this is from sodium due to Mexican for dinner, but after the 2 weeks we've had and no family time due to being at the hospital and now rehab, I think we deserved it. It was our first evening together as a family...just the 5 of us.12
