Everyone should watch this.
TL;DL? Increase your NEAT (but also lots and lots of other good stuff).5 -

I follow Iraki Nutrition on YouTube too. He has some interesting guests. This one is definitely a should-watch.1

Lyle is legendary.
He is indeed.
I also really liked the bit near the end on diet breaks and refeeds to restore leptin levels, and how the leaner you are (ie the closer to goal weight), the more frequently you should be doing these. Particularly interesting that a one day refeed really isn't enough. As someone close to goal (again), I'm very much in the 'noise' zone of water weight easily masking fat loss, so this stuff is a good reminder to just ease off a bit.

I recently started a cycle of the Ultimate Diet 2.0 using Lyle's book as reference. I am 2 weeks into it and what I like is that I am actually enjoining it.0

All I can say about Lyle is his refeed advice regarding women who are dieting-fatigued, yet active but a little higher on body fat can benefit from a refeed cycle of roughly 1.5 days per week was spot on for me.5

I don’t usually do podcasts but wanted something different to listen to during chores, and this was really interesting. A lot of stuff I’ve read about, but the idea that a one day refeed can work if done every 3rd or 4th day was fascinating. I’ve been eating this way since I started losing weight last year and have found the process far easier than I ever thought it would be. I wonder how much that might be a factor. I’m not super lean yet, but I have lost about 20 percent of my starting body weight and didn’t notice that second half being any harder than the first.2

Mmhmm. I just finished two weeks of RFL. Oh, am I not supposed to admit that on MFP?1

(I've never purposely watched football in my life).7 -
Also so funny seeing my post from back in September up above, must have been right before I did my first diet break, and presumably what inspired it and then the Refeeds thread!1
