I have lost 90 lbs in about 18 months on keto. Lost 80 lbs in the first year then spent about 6 months messing around and not really losing or gaining. The past month I'm down 10 with only 10 more pounds to go! 305 lbs to 215 today.16

Down 35 lbs and have been doing keto 3 months. 15 to go!
I do cardio 5-6 times a week (run 3 times/elliptical 2-3). I also watch calories but the best part of keto for me is low appetite. In the beginning I had trouble meeting minimum calories daily - not such a problem now! For food, I eat fish, eggs, cheese, veggie burgers as main protein and make sure to get lots of veggies in. Dinner is usually a huge salad with full fat dressing (usually creamy like ranch) + a protein choice. Sometimes l'll make something like zucchini lasagne or a spinach quiche and eat it over a few days but generally keep it simple.
I aim for <20 net carbs a day.

Meal prep is definitely key I'm noticing. My main thing is trying to stay away from sweets and pasta because I LOVE spaghetti but will have to control my urges lol. Am noticing I'm not getting vitamin c so I will be getting tablets. Also found out 1/4 Orange helps as well. Add me. Would love to see some more success stories
Bell peppers, especially red and yellow have more vitamin c than an orange as do some other veggies. 1 pepper = ~3 net carbs.

I've been keto for 6 weeks and lost 23 lbs.
I have exercised exactly 2 times. Most of the weight came off in the first 3 weeks. Now it has slowed to 2-3lbs/week.
I put my calorie intake lower than MFP suggested, though. It had my maintenance calories at about 3000/day. Another calculator that I think is more accurate placed me closer to 2600/day for maintenance. So I put myself at 1600/day to achieve ~2lbs/week weight loss.7 -
Does anyone know why some people lose more weight on a low carb diet?
Is it because some people don't 'process' carbs well?
Thank you!3 -

I wouldn't be surprised if I lost a good 5 lbs. I know a lot of it may be water weight, but I certainly do feel so much better already. My mood is better. I feel lighter. I have a bit more energy. I don't feel bloated and blah anymore. It's a big difference. I'm excited to continue this journey. Feel free to add me if you like.
Just to give an update on this thread, I lost 9.3 lbs in the first week, so even better than expected.7 -
Hi all, I am just getting started with the Keto diet as well. Would anyone mind sharing their go-to foods? Also, what do you use in place of milk? I usually try to drink 1-2 glasses of grass fed whole milk a day to help with my bone/teeth strength and am worried about that. Do you just supplement with Calcium? Thanks for your help!
So far, my "go to" foods, are avocado, spinach and 50/50 mix salad, cheese, different meat sources for protein (tuna, chicken, beef roast, ground beef, salmon), eggs, bacon, and almond milk. I drink the unsweetened, vanilla almond milk. I always loved regular milk, but this almond milk isn't bad at all as a replacement. I put it, or heavy cream in my coffee each morning.

On Tuesday I’ll have been keto for 1 year. Although I did go on and off between mid January through mid May. I’ve been back on fully since mid May. In total I’m down 51 lbs. Looking to lose 73 more pounds.5

I have been doing keto since early to mid-August. From the time I started to the end of September, I guess I lost between 20 and 30 pounds, with no exercise, based on the way my clothes fit. Based on the numbers I have seen since I started keeping track it may have been closer to 40+. I found this site earlier this month and started keeping track of both calories and weight on the 16th.
Since the 18th I have been losing about 0.79 pounds per day on average, which is right in line what with the caloric deficit off of what I would need to eat to maintain my weight indicates I should have lost. I started exercising for a few minutes a day about the 16th. I started logging it on the 19th. Right now, I'm averaging 10.25 minutes of exercise a day. Just enough to burn about 100-140ish calories off of what I take in.
Weight has been an issue my whole life, and this is the first thing I have ever tried that truly makes it as easy as breathing for me to lose weight, with or without exercise as of now. I know that will slow down as the gap closes between what I eat each day and what I would need to eat to maintain the weight as it drops, but I am on course to lose between 100 and 130 pounds over the next 11 months and up to 150 over the next 12 1/2 months.
Keto has been a gift from God. One which I am currently tweaking a bit by combining it with intermittent fasting. I will be testing this for the next week and see how it works.
Based on the research I've done for something I'm writing on keto, and my own experience, it is the closest thing there is to a miracle diet for food addicts. I am forever a keto evangelist.12 -

Ok great! I didn't know that. I also found out eggs have a lot of vitamin c as well. I'm learning a lot so far. Day 3 today. I had a leftover hamburger w/ cheese and literally only ate 3/4 of it cause I felt so full still after breakfast which was 3eggs, 1/4 bell pepper and onion2 -

Day 2 on keto after being off for almost 3 weeks. I knew it was time for me to stop being lazy and count my macros. Down 1.5lbs and looking forward to losing the 30-35lbs I need to lose.

From 10/16/2017, when I started weighing in, to 10/30/2017 I've lost 16.5 lbs doing keto, and I assume I have lost up to 65 or 70 since August. I've been averaging 0.967 pounds lost per day since 10/25.3

108lbs in 7 months. I monitor my calories and focus on protein and nutritious food more than "fat bombs". I workout at least four days a week (CrossFit and lifting).4

Day 9 of Keto. Down 12lbs. Was 224lbs. Now 212lbs. At 5’3 Female. Goal weight is 160lbs (for now) so still a while to go. No exercise yet, just trying to stick to my macros.5
