171.6 is my start weight this Round. I did weigh 202. I have stalled out. I'm not frustrated yet, but I'm sure the day will come when I am. I've reached a smaller, attainable goal that my doctor set of a 20 pound loss, but I decided to keep pushing myself until I reach my ideal weight. I've lost 31 lbs so far. I want to lose 80, but I don't have any particular goal this Round. It would be nice to see 169 point something though. I CAN AND WILL DO THIS!
10/20 no scale---(in KY for a 1-day trip...went to the Jack-o-lantern Spectacular in Louisville with my husband and our 3 children.) I went on a binge last night because I was told in order to get your body going again, BINGE. My weight will go up for 2 or 3 days, then boom. Let's see if it works!
10/21 No scale except the one in the hotel that's 30lbs lower than it should be. Sooo not counting it. Lol We are in Ohio now. We went to Jungle Jim's yesterday, and I did BINGE again.
10/22 173.2 and we are back home. I know its a big jump, but I honestly have no regrets. I've been on a strict regimen for about 5 months now. I deserved to treat myself when doing something I hadn't done in 20 or so years...ride roller coasters. We went to Kings Island yesterday, and I put in almost 17g steps. Now that I'm back home, it's back to the grind and shedding these lbs.
10/23 172.6 I'm hoping that this BINGE thing works because right now, seeing my numbers up this high when it took so long to get under 172 is SO NOT AWESOME!
10/24: 172...alright...the weight is coming back off now, but I want to see it get below that 171.6 mark. If I could get to 170 or lower, then I might believe this BINGE thing one day a week works. Lol
10/25 BOOM! My scale was teasing me this morning. I saw a 169.6, but it went up. It did this 2x. I'm so close, but right now, I'm at 170 lbs. I'll take it. This is my lowest weight yet. It took exactly 3 days, and then that weight came off to a big loss. I believe that this BINGE does work. So, I will try it out again this next round.
10/26 170.8 Maybe it was sodium or a late dinner...idk...
10/27 I'm back down to 170 today. The scale has dropped in the 160s again, and then it came up to 170 and stayed. It's such a teaser. [/quote]
10/28 As of this morning, 169.8 decided to show up. The true test is to see if it stays, but I'm happy to see it. I also purchased an exercise bike. The cold weather has kicked in, and I am definitely not going to be out biking in it. However, I can still exercise and stay warm. So, I did get my 30-minute bike ride in yesterday because of it.9 -

10/20 - 174.4 Interesting….same weight 3 days in a row. Usually the scale is up and down.
10/11 - 175.3 - UGH! Off track and high sodium yesterday. Will do better today! Water!!!!
10/12 - 175.2 - Hmm. . . Not much difference, but I'll take it.
10/13 - 174.8 - That's better! Now, the trick is to keep it going in that direction.
10/14 - 175.2 - Here we go back to the yo-yo. Oh well, it could be worse I guess.
10/15 - 172.1 - Okay. A little surprised here. Stepped on the scale three times. I guess tomorrow will tell if it sticks. I had wine last night and that usually dehydrates me and drops my weight temporarily.
10/16 - 172.5 - Up a bit, but that's okay. I'll take yesterday's whoosh!
10/17 - 171.3 - Okay!
10/18 172.5 - hmm… had more carbs than usual yesterday. Have to keep an eye on that!

10/20 - 186 ¡¡ʍol ʍǝu
10/21 - 187.8 DH brought KFC home for dinner. I think it's still sitting undigested in my tummy. Stayed within calories but I think I absorbed all the salt judging from the weight gain.
10/22 - 187.2
10/23 - 188.4 OMG I need to stay away from alcohol! Sigh....
10/24 - 188.4 I have a question - I've had one period in the last two years, but the last few months I feel like I'm bloated and that I'm going to have one. Has anyone had these 'ghost periods' after menopause?
10/25 - 187.2
10/26 - 185.6 New low!! Drinking water instead of alcohol, who'd have thought?.. Actually, I knew and I record all the alcohol I drink, even though I come in at a deficit it just seems to stop my weight loss in it's tracks. I have more demons to conquer than just my weight. Lesson learned.

Last round again reinforced to me how important it is to not stress out over temporary daily upward fluctuations. For this round I will continue working on my hydration and stretching.
Day/Weight/Comment
10/20--222.6 Normal fluctuation either due to the 2 handfuls of mini peppermint patties I had yesterday, even though I had already eaten my calories for the day, or water retention from finishing up another day of C25K that I completed in the rain last night. Either way, I'll take it.
10/21--222.2 Finished W2D3 of C25k and stretched. Going out for afternoon tea today. Working on staying hydrated today.
10/22--222.4 Very surprised about the small increase after all the food I ate at tea, maybe all the tea I drank helped. Going out for tennis lessons and then out for lunch with the in-laws, so weight will probably be up tomorrow.
10/23--222.8 If this is the only weight increase that shows up after the lunch and lack of water I had yesterday I will be very happy. I do have to say that I only ate 1/2 of my lunch and took the rest home to eat for dinner, so that also helped.
10/24--223.3 Water retention. Had a challenging weightlifting session yesterday.
10/25--222.4 There goes the water.
10/26--222.2
10/27--222.6 Finished W3D1 of C25K yesterday.
10/28--222.0 I'm going to eat at maintenance this weekend, so weight will probably temporarily go up tomorrow. Going for a hike today.

10/25 156 Stayed under in calories, yesterday. Did back exercises including crunches & planks. Did push-ups & triceps extensions/dips
10/26 156 Did Leslie Sansone Burn 30 Workout, yesterday.
10/27 156 Dieted successfully, yesterday. No exercise. Did go to dr for check up, yesterday, and was pleasantly surprised to find that I'd lost 10 pounds since my last office visit in Feb.
10/28 157.2 way over in calories, no exercise. -- Went to large dinner last night, didn't eat hardly any due to helping out & nothing really left... So, afterwards, about 10:30pm -- drove by Taco Bell -- and totally blew it!!! Looks like I will gain back what I've lost... Today, I have another special dinner to go to... this does not bode well. I need to just eat what I plan ALL the time, but need to go out and be with others. So, this is a HUGE problem area for me... I'll have to find a solution to this problem...

Day/Weight/Comment
10/20 179.4 - calories were good, I ate clean, and exercised yesterday.
10/21 179.2 - calories were below maintenance, but I didn't get any exercise yesterday. We're seeing Hamilton today! Plus dinner out. I'll be mindful if my choices.
10/22 178.6 I ate well and stayed within calories. Also exercised yesterday, did a good cardio workout.
10/23 178.2 Fitness Blender may be my saving grace. Wow, I love the workouts they offer! I did a short HIIT workout in the morning followed by a short upper body one. We volunteered at our local Pumpkin festival yesterday, so I also got all my steps in, and then I carried a 30 lb pumpkin 1/2 mile to the car. Whew.
An interesting twist about a month into this "give me 10 days" game. I no longer remember every morning what my weight was the day before. After I got on the scale today I thought, "Is that down?" Hmmm.
10/24 178.8 - normal fluctuation. Calories were spot on yesterday, and I exercised. Didn't drink enough water, though and I haven't been getting enough sleep.
10/25 178.4. Ate clean, calories were on, and exercised. I lose weight so slowly now. Everything changed after menopause. Somewhere along the way I realized I might have to be happy with .5 lb a week. Last week to this was .6. I'll take it. One cannot have the proper actions without finally getting the proper results. Water and sleep were both better. I still need to get to bed earlier!
10/26 180.8
I ate 2 out of 3 meals in restaurants yesterday. The calories weren't horrible, but higher than maintenance (slightly). That sodium, though... I may also be holding onto some add'l water - I've upped my workouts and am basically a little sore, everywhere.
10/27 179.6 I've got a workout planned this morning and then a 1,000 calorie scorcher planned for tomorrow. Definitely frustrated at the scale not moving, but my belly has shrunk a tiny bit, so something is happening.
10/28 179.8 I'm so sick of this weight. I *should* be losing. I'm eating between 1600-1700 calories a day on average. I'm burning 2200-2500 a day on average. This is my 3rd round and there has been basically no movement. I do the daily up and down thing but within the same 3 lb range. Now, I've also added in higher intensity exercise, and I know that changes physiology. But C'mon, just give me something! I finally took "before" photos yesterday so I had another way to track progress. I also have measurements. I said I'd be happy with .5 loss per week, and I would be, but it would be really great to see some actual significant downward trending one of these days. I could use the boost.
I'm doing a 90 minute, 1,000 calorie workout later today. Wish me luck!

Thanks, I'll look it up but my question isn't so much about losing - I do take cheat days and enjoy them - but how the heck FP figures I'd not lose at 1200. I think there is something wrong with their algorithm that figures your 5 week weight loss at the end of the day or else there is something else I don't understand.
Ignore that "in five weeks you'll be" thingie. It's a very simple algorithm that assumes every day will be exactly the same and life doesn't work that way. I'm also not sure how or whether it includes exercise in its calculations.4 -

10/20 / 231.8 / I'm .4 lbs away from losing 50lbs so hopefully I can stay on track this weekend. I really want to be in the 220s by the end of the month

10/25 / 229.6 / YESSSS
10/26 / 230.8 / Not sure why this happened? Worked out and was under my calories. Tomorrow is my "official" weigh in day with my trainer so I'm really hoping to be back under 230 again.
10/27 / 230.2 / Was really hoping to be under 230 for my weigh in at the gym today. I've been under my calories, working out, drinking TONS of water, so I'm not sure why I haven't seen more of a loss. I'm working on being patient
10/28 / 229.8 / trying not to get my hopes up but also very happy

I was having trouble staying down around 1500 calories as my activity naturally increases as I weigh less so I have set my calories back at the more comfortable level of 1550, which is closer to the TDEE of a lightly active woman of my age at goal weight. Arguably, if I keep being more active I will continue to lose weight until I am approaching a normal BMI.
Also, since I already gained from traveling and it’s getting colder where the scale is, I’m biting the bullet and weighing in jeans & t-shirt rather than my birthday suit.

Day/Weight/Comment
10/20 264.4 -- Down two pounds since yesterday despite adding two pounds of clothing to the mix and snacking past deficit last night. We’re off the road and back to control over our sodium intake!
0/21 262.4 -- Down another couple pounds of water. That’s how many of those “loss 10 pounds in the first week” diets do it. They assume their diet will greatly reduce your sodium intake along with the calorie reductions.
10/22 259.6 -- Back in the 250s already! I’m a happy camper!
10/23 257.6 -- This losing two pounds a day is wonderful! But a false friend, i know. As soon as all that water is gone from 12 days of eating salt and it will be back to the pound-a-week trudge.
10/24 257.2 -- I guess we’re done losing water from the trip. Now to get back down to where I was and then onward!
10/25 254.8 -- Yowser! Another big drop. Back to the middle of the range of challenge 18 (pre-trip). Another pound and a half and I’ll resume losing “new” pounds.
10/26 254.2 -- I’ll take it! Last night hunnybunny and I split a container of Haagen Das but it fit in my calories and I enjoyed every spoonful!
10/27 255.0 -- I know what I ate yesterday to cause this little leap. No calorie deficit, too little water, too little fiber, and too much salt. Prunes to the rescue!
10/28 254.0 -- Back on track! Took a short walk yesterday. It’s a start.

Goal Weight end of 2017: 105 lbs
10/20 108.8 - way up for some reason
10/21 108.5 - on my way down now
10/22 110 - well maybe not just yet. The last few pounds are the most difficult, but super important to me.
10/23 107.7 - I have not corrected my Calorie intake back down to 1500 yet and look - wt is going down. Still, need to make the correction to meet goals.
10/24 108.5 - just hangin out!
10/25 108.1 - I am not doing my part. Consuming more than 1500 kcals (more like 1700). Made a plan for today.
10/26 107.8 - 1500 kcals . . . keep it up.

Day/Weight/Comment
10/20 175.4 the scale has kind of been stuck since about Oct. 3 so I'm trying to be patient.
10/21 175.0 still sitting here
10/22 177.4 ?
10/23 177.6
well, I'm confused. All I can think is that I'm holding a bunch of water for some reason. Expecting a good loss one day this week.
Plan for today: write it, then bite it! Stick with the plan and drink 64 oz water.
10/24 176.6 ugh
10/25 175.0 again. Glad to see it! hope tomorrow to get past it though! I was so hungry yesterday, I made hot tea in between meals and also some Golden Milk (turmeric, 2 oz almond milk, hot water, cinnamon) in the blender to keep me going.
10/26 174.6 Finally, a drop! I've been sticking pretty close to the plan.. hope it keeps rolling!
10/27 174.4 looks good to me! I had an extra carb serving yesterday (normally only have one) and a couple of drinks last night so I'm happy with todays weight. I will be drinking extra water today and sticking to the plan- had protein smoothie for breakfast, a bowl of tom kha gai soup with broccoli and an apple for lunch.. Salad, a veg and a protein for dinner tonight. Maybe a glass of wine.
10/28 175.2 I think this month has been tough for me. We traveled a lot, now we have a houseguest, and to top it all off my MIL just brought over a quarter of a Hummingbird cake with cream cheese frosting. I ate a 5 oz piece which the internet says is 500 calories, does that seem right???
But I guess I need to admit that all of my small choices off plan add up to weight maintenance. instead of a weight loss because I've been at this same weight for 20 days! We have a neighborhood block party this afternoon.. The plan I am making and STICKING TO for this afternoon is to make some crock pot chicken with salsa verde to be served with lettuce wraps. Also, drink all my water and limit alcohol to 2 servings.

Well, this is the start of round 7 for me, and I can't wait! I plan to step up my exercise, and set myself some daily guidelines for the next 10 days. If it works out, I may keep them or tweek them until they do work!
1.no sodas
2.no bread
3.no eating out
4.drink at least 12 glasses water daily
5.eat protein every meal
6.reduce sodium intake
7.get more sleep
I've lost an average of 1.5 lbs. per round over the last 6 rounds! I'm going to see if these guidelines will make a difference in that average!

God is so good; I haven't seen this number in many moons! Hope it sticks around. It seems like every Saturday, when I do my weekly weigh in for F2F, I go up, so my weigh in for the week is more than it was the last Saturday! Hope I break that pattern this week!

I like it! I like it! I like it!
10/24: 218.7
Over did my sodium yesterday. Went to bed late, and got up early to exercise. Was so tired and sleepy all day that I lay down after work, and it was after 6 when I woke! Since I didn't meal prep, I heated up some leftover soup, and it had waaaay too much sodium! I need to start meal prepping!
Thank God His mercies are new every morning!
10/25: 217.6
Broke guideline number 4; forgot my bible study group was having a fellowship lunch today. Went to a Bakery Café. I was doing good; I ordered a rotisserie chicken salad that came on lettuce, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, and boiled eggs. That's when the bird flew over the Coocoo's nest; they had samples of wedding cookies! I tasted a piece and it was all over except the weeping! I couldn't stop myself-I bought a dozen, and ate all of them on the way home! I thank God for the cookies: they were so good, and I thank Him that His mercies are new every morning!
10/26: 217.8
Had another fellowship small group dinner tonight at a Mexican restaurant. I tried to make a good choice with a grilled shrimp and chicken salad. No dessert. Was under on sodium and calories. Got in my 12 c. water. I've got 3 more days in this round, and Sunday is the 5th Sunday, so we will be having breakfast at church! I'll try to be last in line some most everything will be gone! I'll let you know how that work's out for me!

It's a beautiful morning! Woke up this morning feeling like I had not slept at all! Didn't get my exercise in; but maybe I'll go swim this afternoon!

I think I'm going to change guideline #4 to no unplanned eating out!6 -
Day/Weight/Comment
10/28 Looks like I will gain back what I've lost... Today, I have another special dinner to go to... this does not bode well. I need to just eat what I plan ALL the time, but need to go out and be with others. So, this is a HUGE problem area for me... I'll have to find a solution to this problem...

I have the same problem; so many church based fellowships, especially during the holidays, and I have no plans of giving them up! I don't know how, but I do know we are going to make it! The holidays don't last forever plus we're stronger than we used to be! Let's plan to eat, but only a fraction of what we used to eat! Sounds like a plan!! What do you think?

Lost 68#, regained 12 (to 156) on metabolism reset. Time to slowly drop the last 15!

Happy to be here for my 5th round. Thanks to all of you for being here, too. It helps so much to know we're not alone and to realize that all those "lost 2-5 pounds a week for umpteen weeks" ads are not the norm. More like verbal airbrushing! Half a pound lost per month is not just that much lost, but more than that not gained!
10/21 - 149.6
No surprise there. I did say I planned to lose the last 10-15 pounds slowly, right? ;-)
10/22 - 149.5
I thought I'd be down a bit more this morning. But whatever the scale says, I've lost an inch and a half from my waist since whenever it was I last measured (I have it written down somewhere) and I feel lighter, so all good. :-)
10/23 - 149.5
No surprise. I increased my calories yesterday to 1850 (from ~1700), and plan to stay between 1800-1900 for the next week to avoid slowing my metabolism. I'll be happy if my weight just stays level during that time. Then I'll cut back again for a month or so. But I'll keep checking in - keeps me aware.
10/24 - 149.5
Good, since I'm eating more for the coming week. I looked up my stats from my pre-metabolism reset dieting and found it took me 5 months to get from 150 to 143, my lowest in decades. So no surprise that these 10-15 pounds are slow going. A bit reassuring!

Goody! Must be the walking this week, and possibly the few extra calories, oddly enough. I'll take it!

Has to be water - I feel "puffy" this morning.
