I drove about three hours apiece to see them.

    I've had one other good but too short mfp meet experience, but she brought her boyfriend with her. We probably could have worked around my wife, but both was problematic. :laugh:

    Regardless, I am no longer friends with either.

    I'd make an entire dinner if you drove that far! And I will be making that 3 hour drive just to hang out at some point. :)

    I met my fiancé on MFP, she travelled from the USA to come see me (in the UK) for 3 months for summer.
    She’s travelling the same distance again in winter to see me for Christmas and New Years.
    And then I’m travelling the same distance to see her for a few weeks early 2018.

    So, between us we’ve amassed over 42,000 miles.

    I guess that could be classed as a ridiculous distance?

    Haha. Yeah. That's what makes us the rainbow nation. We just make everyone else's stuff uniquely ours (you would be amazed what a bit of brandy can do in the koeksuster syrup). I'll be waiting! And FYI, biltong far exceeds jerky (so I'm told)

    Yay! The club is being relocated to my garden. All northern hemispherians who don't like the cold - it's Spring here
