I'm having surgery this morning, so this will be my last check in for awhile. I'm glad a registered a loss this month (-1.1). I will only be tracking my weight once a week while in recovery, but no tracking food (except to focus on very clean eating, no alcohol, etc.) or exercise until the New Year.
Good luck everyone.6 -

Im literally on day 2 of restarting clean eating for this week. You got this! Just start back up gradually. Seeing your post made me feel not as bad so I thought I'd share my failures as well!2 -

Happy Sunday, everyone!
I found a picture of myself from 2015. And I had a picture taken a couple of weeks ago, I'm wearing the same sweater - it's roomier now 2 years, and 35 lost pounds later. I hate being photographed, most recent pictures involve either a family event (Thanksgiving in the earlier pic) or fishing...
I'm finally seeing a tiny bit of downward movement on the scale. I haven't seen a new daily low since October 22, when I caught a tiny glimpse of 208 even for one day before I popped back up into the 209-210 range for the last month. Talk about frustrating.
Most of this week has been in the 208 zone, I was 209.5 on Thursday, probably just water retention. Today I'm 208.3 so I'm cautiously optimistic that I might see a 207 number for the first time, in the next week or so.... (fingers crossed!)
It is HARD to behave in my office. Seems we're always having a 'food event'. Monthly potluck, there's a restaurant lunch brought in for every birthday and work anniversary, vendor reps show up with doughnuts or bagels. I pretty much always partake, I just really have to watch my portions - no second doughnut for me, even if they are across the hall in the break room, calling my name. I work it into my daily calorie allowance and then I don't feel deprived, but I don't get off track either. This week was our Thanksgiving potluck/the owner's birthday (only one special meal for 2 events), the day before that a rep showed up with chicken salad, croissants and apple turnovers... I brought home some of the leftovers for my SKINNY husband
OH OH OH and major non-scale victory: A year ago I almost got rid of a belt that I couldn't wear anymore. Some months ago I posted that I could wear it again - albeit on the largest notch. I hadn't worn it again in a while but I needed it to keep my jeans up. I bought the jeans a year ago and they were roomy but not too big. Now I can put them on without unbuttoning them... and the BELT, so said jeans won't fall down - third notch of 5!!! I couldn't wear it that way when I bought it, 4 years ago.
Anyway, I'm rambling... as usual. Suffice it to say I have temptation in my face every day and we're coming into the season where vendors send us cookies and candy... going to have to be careful not to graze my way to a gain over the next 6 weeks or so.
Highest weight ever: 254 in October 1999.
Lowest since 1999: 195.

MFP Starting weight December 25th, 2016: 233
Goal: 180 in however long it takes, and I'll evaluate at that time. Haven't been there since my early 20s.
Average from October 30-November 4th: 210.1
Average from November 5th - November 12th: 209.7
Average from November 12th - November 19th: 208.7 (YAY!)
Loss for November: 1.4 lbs.

I am going in the wrong direction!! Not sure what my deal is. My commitment has gone down and I'm disappointed in myself for letting it get this way. Sigh...
It's a learning experience, and it's not always linear. Be kind to yourself, and start again.
Sometimes it's one meal at a time, one snack at a time. Don't worry about the big picture. Just focus on here and now.

Total Loss For November ---
Notes: I'm literally reflecting on my weight fluctuations for this month and just thinking "heh that's cute I've been pretty much sitting at the same weight for almost a month now" But anyway, I weigh myself daily and I've seen 147 on the scale and 151 on the scale. This morning I was sitting at 150.2, so I'll roll with that weight for now. I've been going to the gym daily since Friday, and plan to keep it up this week!
Random aside but I accidentally bought steel cut oats from the store today instead of quick oats --- the steel cut oats were very chewy, and oddly satisfying. The only downside is it takes about 30 minutes to cook on low.2 -

Just had my graduation ceremony on the 17th November (see the pics of my dress and me!, felt good to be in a nice dress and one size smaller! This week has been had because I got my period and so didn't have a good weight loss but it's still a loss! Going in the right direction for the Christmas party on the 16th December, also going on holiday on the 24th December so I'd like to feel comfortable in my summery clothes.

How do we edit our own post to add our weight?
Thanks in advance!

@annuthebest what I do, is I log it in my notes on my phone, then when I add onto it each week, I just copy and paste it onto here so I don’t have to keep typing it out or keep looking for my last post
Hope that helps x1 -

Not as big of a loss as I'd like but I drank almost 5liters of water yesterday so may be holding some water weight, I usually drink about 3 liters a day. I was reading about the amount of water a person of my weight should drink and it was closer to 5 liters a day which was a ridiculous amount!
Feel free to add me if you'd like.2
