Sometimes a person may hurt you, emotionally. To truly forgive is difficult but it’s the only way to give yourself emotional freedom from that pain. Forgive someone for yourself and not for them. That person doesn’t need to be a part of your life anymore so make sure you let go of any emotional holds they have on you.

I understand this idea, but I still can't do it. I guess I hold a grudge.

Get to know your bodies weaknesses and strengths and take care of your body NOW, I work at a spine clinic and good lord the things we do to ourselves just by bad movement patterns over time, things that are easily avoided if taken care of early but become detrimental later if nothing is done.

Take tons of photos! Your family loves you no matter what, and those in the future generations will want to know you.

Never say you're too busy to your kids. someday they may stop asking and as a father of a 17 yr old junior in HS, the time flies faster than you could ever imagine.

Teachable moments aren't created, they are experienced in the everyday moments in life. There are a million firsts in your child's life, be a part of every single one if its within your power to do so.

Work to live, don't live to work.

Thank a veteran every chance you get.

Its OK to be your kids friends. Some day you will want that friendship when you no longer call the shots. How better to build a foundation of friendship that to do it while they grow under your wings.
